I had surgery on that day, and told to come back next week to check on the healing. 06/24 was told everything look fine, come back in 3 weeks. However, I pointed out, my gum line is uneven. Doc and nurse said need to wait at least 3-4 weeks before they can do anything. They assure me it will look even. 07/18 Dr. Amato decided to laser the gum line a little bit, so they will look even, it was about 2mm difference at that time. If I smile, you can definitely tell the difference. It was a very quick procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Amato checked with his nurse , he said " do you think I should do a little more? ", He also asked me that question. I was pretty confused , I am not professional. I left office , I sat in my car, I looked into my mirror, I was like, maybe he should laser a little bit more. I went back in the office, spoke to his nurse, I said since I am still numb, do you think we could laser a little bit more. She told me, it was not necessary, if it is still uneven, they will fix it next time. don't worry about it. Today, 08/12, another 3 weeks went by, my gum line is still uneven. Dr. Amato told me, first, he does not have time to fix my gum line, second , if I do want my gum line fixed, I need to pay $1000+ to fix it. Yes, I had small teeth before , now I have bigger teeth and uneven gum line, so if you are looking for a periodontics, would you go with this office?

Dr. Aris takes his time, and this is not a rushed office. It reminded me of practices during the "golden age" of dentistry, before corporations took over and created a conflict between incentivizing treatment for care vs. production. His focus is on patient-centered, thorough care rather than meeting quotas, which is rare and refreshing. The ambiance of the office is also incredibly pleasant. The rooms are large and open, with bright windows that let in natural light, yet they maintain adequate privacy from other patients. Music in a dentist's office is something I'm very particular about, as the experience can already be anxiety-producing with all the loud noises. I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Aris's choice of soft music and the perfect volume--it created a calm and relaxing atmosphere that put me at ease. Kim at the front desk was incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to rework the schedule to fit my needs and limitations. Allison gave me an excellent cleaning--extremely thorough, with zero discomfort or sensitivity. Dr. Aris himself was exceptionally thorough in his examination, taking time to get to know me as a patient and understand my needs. His diagnoses were accurate, and his ability to distinguish between what was present, existing, and what might be needed moving forward gave me full confidence in his care. His approach is conservative and thoughtful, which I deeply appreciate. I was also very pleasantly surprised to learn that, while Dr. Aris runs his office like a fee-for-service practice, he not only submits your insurance but was also in-network with mine (Delta Dental). This combination of a private-practice feel with insurance accommodation makes his office even more accessible. The practice is nicely designed with several different private rooms for the hygienists to do routine cleaning and exams plus the Dr works on patients in private rooms as well. I have been a patient of Dr Cogguillo's for some time and have found the Dr and his staff to be very efficient and caring when an issue with my teeth happens. The Dr is usually very gentle when examining and tending to a filling or other dental procedure. Ginny ( oral assistant) and Jean (front desk) have been working together at this practice and two former practices for years. I am sure that there are others working at this current practice who are long term employees as well. I first met Ginny and Jean when I started going to Dr Saunders after moving to the area. The fact that they are still working at this practice means that there is stability which is an important factor when talking medical care. This is a good independent dental practice.

Aside from a bad cosmetic result, this left me unable to bite an apple, or a piece of pizza or a sandwich, etc. Everything just folds up under the front overjet. Salad tends to escape as you eat - very embarrassing. The dentist had also ground down a crown, leaving me with an upper tooth that needs to be raised with screws in my jaw, and a tendency to bite the inside of my cheek on that side. Dr. Feinberg is a great orthodontist. He is very professional, his staff is great, his office is modern and immaculate. He explains everything with a great deal of patience and professionalism. He has a lot of experience with Invisalign cases gone wrong ! He also has a wonderful reputation among his peers, which says a lot. I had gone for a second opinion on the advice of a friend who is also a Dentist and Dr. Bilous in Fairfield, another great orthodontist, assured me that his plan was exactly what was needed. She also see a lot of Invisalign cases gone wrong. The lesson is no one should be going to a dentist, even if they call themselves a cosmetic dentist, to have teeth moved. This should only be done by trained orthodontists.
