I lived in Seaport homes for 8 years. I loved it. I left in 2020 when my dad left me his residence at his passing. It was a total joy living there. I had an apartment next to the leasing office. The place was quiet and well maintained. I loved the basketball court, the jacuzzi on the roof next to the grills along with the view at night. Above all, I loved the security of the place. There weren't any problem residents. People were professional. You feel safe. Thanks Brittany for making my experience there so enjoyable. I live in Laguna Woods now. It is ideal for me and I love it here. I visit this site occasionally because there are things I miss about living here. read more

I have had the privilege of living at some amazing properties over the last 40+ years, some that were more like "resorts" than apartment complexes. Seaport commands that I do a review not only because I have loved my apartment, but because MANAGEMENT here is AWESOME! There are not many times you can say that about an apartment complex. Brittany: AMAZING. Armando in Maintenance: AMAZING. Megan, Shannon: FABULOUS! And then there is the newby, AMBER! AMBER....she went so above & beyond to print out a return FedEx label for me! Because Apple's label was a bit fuzzy, she not only printed it, BY HAND, she literally re-wrote all the fuzzy instructions that were on the back on a separate piece of paper so that I could read them clearly!!!!! Then she brought the printout to my apartment door (I was not able to walk down to the office at the time). I will ALWAYS speak well of not only my specific apartment/unit, but the surrounding quiet atmosphere as well. I commend Brittney for her management of the property, services, and for hiring cordial, amiable, friendly employees, and for their professional conduct. Management is professional, proficient, efficient, and caring. The property is well maintained. Safety inspections are conducted and adhered to a couple of times a year. You cannot find a better place to live. I was at 1 of my apartments for 15 years; the one after that, for 10 years. I hope I can stay here that long too. The property is always clean and well kept, maintenance requests are answered promptly and in a timely manner, and the location is quiet and serene. We have lived here for four years and have truly enjoyed our time. The units have updated appliances, spacious rooms (including closets), and large bathrooms. We've lived in two unit models (1B/1B & 2B/2B) and both units were fantastic to live in. Seaport offers great amenities: fitness gym, basketball court, tennis, two BBQs, and a spa. You often feel like you're on vacation at Seaport! Most importantly, the staff deserves 11/10 stars. Brittany and Shannon are incredible to work with and will do anything they can to accommodate your request. And we certainly can't forget the maintenance staff. Greatest placed I've ever lived. I cannot express enough how awesome this complex is. In the five years, I've lived here I've found nothing but friendly, reliable management and maintenance staff. They handle every aspect of upkeep down to changing the light bulbs for free. They also offer modest priced personal services such as flatscreen TV mounting and light fixture replacement (Their lights were fine but I have particular tastes). The only slight negative is their firm enforcement of quiet hours. I have a small child and even on Saturday afternoon, would have a complaint from management that he was playing too loudly with friends. Other than that minor issue, I cannot endorse this place enough. If they permitted dogs, my son and I would still live there. read more

We lived in Seaport for 7 years, and quickly missed living there after moving on.  It's one of our most positive LA housing experiences because we were so well taken care of.   Maintenance is second to none: they take pleasure in doing a good job and solving all maintenance needs for both residents and the building overall.  If you ever have a chance to check out other LA apartment buildings, you'll see the difference in details that overall add up to major issues in the long run.  Things like waterproofing every single porch once it became evident the rainy season would get worse in the coming years, and power-washing common walkways and repairing loose tiles to prevent breakdowns and troubling discoloration. Leasing team is unfailingly polite and professional.  Tough job especially considering all the many personalities and needs they have to balance. They're always sure to resolve every issue with grace and courtesy, and make tenants feel at home.  We loved the rich diversity of tenants in Seaport: every size, shape, and color. Sometimes felt like a little UN! As a young family who had their first kid here, what also meant a lot was the security and quiet.  We felt very safe ourselves and especially for our little one to toddle around in the hallways and common areas that are fenced-in well.  There are the normal sounds that travel vertically between units, but soundproofing between units is excellent. My husband and I moved into Seaport Homes a year ago. We could not be happier and just signed our second 12 Month lease. The floor plans are quite unique and spacious and the grounds are beautiful and quiet. Maintenance is always on top of things and work very hard at making sure everything is well kept. The few times we have requested maintenance assistance they have come and made the repair the very next day. After selling my condo in 2012, I decided to rent in the South Bay area. Checked out 2 complexes in RPV, checked out Seaport Homes twice. Each time we visited and viewed the complex it was extremely quiet during the day. Moved in summer of 2012, very happy with the complex and our unit. Mostly older renters 35+, and couples in their 30's-50's with 1 or 2 kids. This is not a college party, raise the roop, hipster type of building. Often it is so quiet you only hear the hum of electricity, especially at night. Maintenance responds to service requests within 24 hours or sooner. Lumi the manager is very friendly, professional and responds promptly when info is requested. Units have central air & heat, stainless steel appliances and washer/dryer in each unit. Parking is gated, secured, residents are assigned 1 or 2 spaces depending on the size of your unit. The other renters are very friendly, speak to each other and seem to get along well. The only noise issue is a certain person watching sports and whooping it up during "The Game", this happens maybe once a month at the most. He is usually done celebrating his teams' victory by 10:00 PM. There are mixers a few times a year, management provides food & entertainment. There is an onsite gym, rec . room, pool, Jacuzzi, sports court and larger washing machines on the 1st level.. Another benefit to living at Seaport Homes, Albertsons is next door. Many residents, including myself walk to the grocery store after work or on weekends. Smart & Final, Starbucks, Coco's, Carrows, & Stone Cold Creamery are also in walking distance in the center next door. All in all a pleasant experience for a first time renter, I would highly recommend this building if you are looking for a safe & quiet place to live. read more

My Wife and I have lived in Studio City, Irvine, and Palos Verdes -- NONE of those apartment complexes come close to Seaport. It's a one-of-a-kind gem in San Pedro. The staff, grounds, facilities, utilities -- I could go on and on. It's just the best. If you're apartment shopping, take a tour, and if you're lucky enough to not go on the waiting list (like we were), put your deposit down right away. Me and my husband moved into seaport homes almost a year ago from long Beach. These apartments and their grounds are not only beautifully maintained but are also reasonably priced. We've had a few requests (that seemed to be a little unreasonable on our end) but Brittany the manager has always done her best to accommodate us and take things on a case by case basis. We could not be more appreciative of seaport homes for being so accommodating and understanding. The women in the leasing office (Shannon and Megan) are also sweet, genuine and approachable. Maintenance crew is always on top of their game and have the requested work done in a very timely manner. We have rented at quite a few properties and we can say, without a doubt, that seaport homes has everyone else beat in terms of their pricing, beautiful spacious units, helpful staff and a very understanding and approachable manager. We have never felt so at home and at peace with a place we have been renting. Unfortunately due to work relocation we need to move in a few months, and we couldn't be more bummed about it. We have been living @ Seaport Homes for almost 5 years & we love it here. The building is really quiet and it has a relax ambiance. The common areas are well taken care off and really clean. The Gym is a great, small but It has all main things you need. The club house is great, and if you like to get together with your friends, it is a great option to host them. The apartments inside are super nice & the appliances are new. The maintenance staff are very helpful and react quick if something needs to be fixed. The Administration staff are really nice and helpful, they are super friendly and polite. The building was originally built to condo specifications and you get a lot of value, amenities, and space for your money. We have lived here 18 months now and we have just renewed. All the previous positive reviews are absolutely true. One will not find a more well managed, friendly, responsive, corporate owned and managed apartment environment like Seaport Homes in the South Bay area. From our resident Manager Lumi down to the maintenance crew headed by Sofia, they are all friendly, helpful, responsive and they will make you feel welcome and appreciated for being a resident here. They are totally unlike a lot of larger apartment buildings where once you move in, they don't want to hear from you. The resident manager, maintenance, and the leasing office will not abandon you. They are always happy for the opportunity to be helpful. The maintenance crew not only will take care of your needed repairs in a very timely and responsive manner, but they are also on a daily basis, continually updating preventative maintenance of the entire premises too. They are amazing! The building is still almost like brand new inside and out. They will even come and replace your burned out light bulbs! The tenants are all very nice, quiet, considerate, and respectful of the property and their tenant neighbors. It's a great building for young families as well as older couples. The rooftop spa and views are amazing. There is a full court basketball court, a paddle tennis court, ping pong, a wonderful community room (great for parties) with two large flat screen TV's, and a well equipped (in good condition) gym. We have lived and moved from Seaport Homes several times because of employment changes but always come back here. Property is clean and well lit. The parking garage has plenty of parking slots both for residents and guests with security cameras throughout area. Yes there have been some cars in the garage that have been had items taken but mostly occurs when owners leave valuables exposed and their cars unlocked. Name a city in the Southern California that doesn't have crime. Location is convenient to Albertson's (walking distance), Trader Joe's, Ralph's, In N Out and others. The staff at Seaport are the best. Brittany the manager, is very personable, professional and listens and acts on any concerns that may arise. Maintenance both on the property and apartments are addressed in a timely manner by Armando and his crew. They are very friendly and make sure that any repairs needed are done right. We have lived in other apartments outside of San Pedro but Seaport Homes is the best place we have found and highly recommend it. Thank you. read more

I moved into Seaport as temporary housing a year ago and recently left to move into my permanent home. I found the complex to be far superior to other apartments I have lived in. The staff is friendly, responsive and professional. Any issues that I has were minor and immediately addressed. The maintenance staff is very nice and always had a cheery "Hello - How are you?" The building is quiet and well maintained. Tenants are respectful. The population is wonderfully diverse - all ages, singles, and couples with young children. I enjoyed living there and would have continued had I been looking for long-term housing. read more

Hello everyone, I am a current resident here and never have I been so disrespected and bullied by the managerial staff at this estate. I have heard stories from other tenants, stating at how ridiculously stict and anal the staff was here but I didn't believe it until it happened to me. I'm a sound and audio engineer and my career is based off of sound and audio... Obviously right? It's around 12:15pm in the afternoon on a wednesday, the sun is out, its extremely hot and I'm playing the music that I produced on my small desktop monitors. I get a knock on the door saying that the music is to "loud" (remember 12:15pm in the afternoon on tiny computer monitors) and that I need to turn down the music and I have to put headphones on in order for me to work. After the staff member made her point very clearly to me, I stated in return, very politely the California laws on sound regulation. I know the rules of when my music can be played and cannot be played. The manager gets upset and starts threatening eviction, (which in court can be used as harassment and mistreatment and misconduct towards tenancy, you cannot bully tenants around just because you assune you have power, everything has rules). She started to refer to me as a "guest" implying that I wasn't allowed to sleep in the apartment because my name wasn't on the lease. I am here living with my family... I am not a guest. I am living with my mother and father and I am their son. For the manager that was on staff to directly attack me by saying that I wasn't allowed to technically sleep in the condo my mother is leasing out is absolutely unreasonable and was a direct attack to try and hurt me and can be used in court as harassment. If there are 0 stars I would give them. If you're trying to find a place to stay and want to come here, I'd advise you to look elsewhere, the staff here are very strict and extremely controlling, for what everything is worth here, it isnt worth the hassel to go through people who are as strict and as unresonable as they are. (The name of the manager who spoke to me very disrespectfully will be placed here once I find out, to give a heads up for anyone who wanted to know) Update: not 3 hours afterwards, the manager who spoke to us very disrespectfully (I will get the name), decides to evict my entire family over ten minutes of music playing on a Wednesday afternoon. I advise everyone to definitely not come here. If it's not one thing, it will be another. This place is all bad news and gives off a very unchristian like vibe. read more

My family and I have been residing at Seaport Homes for 5.5 months and absolutely love it here! The leasing agents are friendly and informative from our initial contact even until now. The maintenance crew is great. They work tirelessly to keep the grounds beautiful and feeling like home. And the manager is amazing. I want to start off by saying I absolutely hate apartment living, however it has been an absolute pleasure to live here. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to the residents. Our first few weeks of living here we thought we lived in a empty complex, thats how quiet it is. The residents here are very respectful, we never hear any loud noises or music blasting. IF YOU THINKING ABOUT TO MOVING HERE PLEASE READ THIS. CONS: 1. The apartment is located less than 3/4 of a mile from an oil refinery that emits toxic pollutants 24 hours of the day. When you open your windows any time of the day, the smell of sulphur and toxins emanates throughout the apartment and you are never able to get fresh air. When I asked the community manager what the smell was one day, she told me it was a skunk. I didn't know that a skunk could make a 136 unit apartment complex smell so bad. 2. Despite its appearances, the apartment complex is old and needs major renovations of their plumbing and appliances. In the few short months I lived there, the following issues occurred: First, both elevators were not functioning for weeks at a time during the holiday weekends of July 4 and Labor Day. At three different times the elevators broke down. Secondly, the car garage gate failed to open and 10 residents were forced to wait until maintenance staff manually opened the gate to let the cars pass. Third, the garbage disposal and bathroom sinks emanate a raw sewage smell that never left even after I cleaned and dumped some clorox down the drain. Fourth, the spa on the rooftop broke and flooded the units below for the second time this year. 3. And then there is the crime. Again, I was only there for a few short months, but within that time there were two break ins to the garage to steal bicycles. The thief's picture is hanging on the entrance of the garage and side entrances to the apartment in case you are wondering what he looks like. 4. The maintenance staff although super friendly and super nice, left their dirty booties on top of my clean kitchen counter and left all the lights on after they serviced my apartment. I contacted the maintenance manager, Sophia, who apologized but later texted me telling me it was my fault that the lights were left on. 5. If you leave anything out on your balcony, it has a really bad odor. The balcony is also filthy and covered with a black dusty film (probably from the oil refinery). 6. The walls and floors are super thin. I heard my upstairs neighbors walk one too many times (which sounded like a loud thump all the time) and you can hear people walking by your apartment. My apartment was facing the interior so I always heard people playing basketball echoing throughout the complex. 7. The land next to the apartment is set to be developed into condominiums/town homes beginning December 2015 or earlier and will produce more dust and toxic hazards that are right next to the apartment. Not only do you have to contend with the dust but with the noise level too. 8. The washer/dryer that's included in the apartment which I thought was a plus was so small, I was forced to do three loads to my usual one load. 9. What they advertise as upscale amenities it's actually pretty run down and outdated. Most days there is a friendly retired couple playing pool or ping pong. The gym is next to the community managers office in which she has a window that views directly into the exercise room, a little awkward. There is no pool. The rooftop does have a nice view of the harbor and the Oil refinery. 10. I rented a third floor interior apartment which got absolutely zero natural light and was always really hot like over 80 degrees without the air conditioning being turned on. Pros: 1. Leasing staff, especially Jennifer, are super friendly! 2. Neighbors are friendly and will tell you the truth about the refinery. 3. Next to a grocery store haggens, but still a good 5 min walk. 4. 15 min walk to east view park. read more

Thank you for your reply, Nancy, but Seaport's pet policy is not only a deterrent to my living there, but after the recent change stating that cats are now accepted, the policy is also blatantly unfair. The first time I visited the leasing office, I was told that no pets of any kind were accepted. A few weeks later, I saw online that the complex now accepts cats but not dogs. To make things at least somewhat equitable, perhaps your Board could consider accepting dogs up to a certain weight limit. As the owner of a very small dog, I cannot think of any special facilities the complex would need to add or provide to accommodate cat-sized dogs. read more

We lived in seaport homes for about 13 months. I must say that it was certainly the best apartment complex we ever lived in. The apartment building is very well maintained and high levels of cleanliness; the elevator bars, button panels etc. are sanitized several times a day. The club house, gym and corridors are immaculately clean too. The apartment handed over to us was spic-and-span. The complex is nice and quiet. We never heard anybody screaming and shouting. Since its a recently built complex, the apartment units are in excellent condition. The stainless steel exterior of appliances and granite tops make a perfect kitchen. Most of apartments have a nice view, ours had rolling hills visible from all the rooms. The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The maintenance crew is very prompt and skillful. We love Seaport! It's beautiful, quiet, and very well maintained. Everything from the barbeque to the courtyard is kept so clean The staff is absolutely wonderful! Especially the girls in the office. The apartments are luxurious to say the least. We've only had one maintenance request when we first moved in and it was taken care of immediately. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. it's walking distance to the grocery store and starbucks. We would definitely recommend this place! it is perfect! read more

Home is where you feel comfortable ,welcome and safe. Seaport Homes fits the bill perfectly. My family has been here over one year and the place is just as fresh and clean as the 1st day that we moved in. Sofia and her maintenance crew are the best, Tony and the guys work quickly and hard . Lumi is always available and responsive to the clients needs and concerns Brittany Jennifer and the rest of the staff do whatever it takes to everyone happy ,they are always courteous and professional.
