Lived here for 3 years, had to relocate and miss it already! We looked at many apartments in the South Bay and Seacrest by far has the perfect combination of everything! They are newer apartments (built in 2018) and the grounds are kept up so well they still look new. The 2 bd 2 ba unit we had was a cozy type of modern, with the most atypical perfect layout. Ample storage, yet I loved that I can stand in the middle of either the kitchen or walk in closet and reach anything within half a step lol. Plus a washer/dryer tucked away in the patio is brilliant! Parking was a bit of an issue due to my having several motorcycles, but Lumi (owner) thoughtfully switched my spaces and worked out great. There's a maintenance crew on site and any issues (minor) were resolved never later than the next morning in my experience. They work quickly and efficiently, and they're quite nice. The amenities are AWESOME... A beautiful large pool area with cabanas and jacuzzi, full gym(s) which are clean and not packed with bodies, relaxing clubhouse and sitting areas, rooftop BBQ area with an awesome view and a secure package room. I never had any problems with stolen packages or mail. Neighbors are pretty considerate and friends are easily made here, especially during the annual Christmas party which is so intimate, cute and casual. They have snacks, crafts, and games where you can win prizes! The neighborhood itself isn't so bad. Any security breaches we had were addressed and since hadn't had any issues. There's alot of great restaurants nearby and coffee is literally in your front yard! Lumi is a pleasure to work with and will extend herself as much as possible to make sure her tenants are happy. She truly thrives off looking for ways to improve, and is an intelligent woman of grace and good business practice. Pretty much the landlord you want to have! I also think the rent is about right, given the going rate. In my honest opinion get what you pay for in this instance. Seacrest for the win! read more

Prior to following my wife and moving out of LA, I had lived at Seacrest for nearly 2 years. Overall would give 4.5 stars (no apartment is perfect in my experience) but probably the best apartment I've lived at given location and pricing. First a little bit of context. I grew up in/near Palos Verdes and had hopped between cities and states before finally coming back to the South Bay. During out apartment hunting, we really only wanted 2 amenities: a personal washer/dryer and A/C. You'll quickly learn that's a tall order in the South Bay (especially the A/C, since Torrance is near the beach) but Seacrest actually had both. It was the height of the COVID pandemic at that time and apartment prices were dirt cheap, so we locked in our 2 bed 2 bath (floor plan C I think?). In general, Seacrest consists of two apartment complexes. Floors 1-2 contain covered parking while floors 3-6 are the actual apartments. Each apartment complex has 2 elevators and the community is gated. Let's start with the negatives (there aren't a lot). Even though you're in Torrance, the apartment shoulders against a few warehouses located in the back. Depending on where your apartment is located, you can hear workers and forklifts buzzing back and forth during the day. At night, you'll periodically hear this loud bang which to this day I still don't know was due to local industrial machinery or gunfire from "straight outta" Carson. Seacrest isn't located in a sketch area, but just know you are near the border of Torrance. Also, when we first moved in there was a lot of package stealing going on, although we never experienced this personally. I think this has gotten better over time. Finally, parking in the parking garage is unfortunately tandem, not separate. With that aside, the apartments are great. A lot of the tenants are working professionals or young families with toddlers trying to grow their roots in Torrance. We never had those annoying neighbors that liked to crank their bass at night...instead it was more like cranky babies who couldn't go back to sleep. Even though there are 2 apartment complexes, they have their own amenities. Each has a separate pool, jacuzzi, gym, balcony/grill, basketball court, and clubhouse, so you don't need to walk far. The gym itself is pretty decent and even contains a stretch/yoga room with hardwood floors and mirrors. Lumi is a responsive manager and answered all of our questions and concerns that popped up during our time living there. Was super happy too about getting pretty much all of our security deposit back after talking with her during our move out. And last but not least, living in Seacrest means you're living in Torrance! Torrance is a happy compromise between not living in isolated, overpriced PV but also not living in somewhat sketchy Carson (sorry Carson, I do love my Filipino food though). Seacrest is on a major street called Sepulveda, meaning you're 5 minutes from the 110 freeway or 15 minutes from Redondo Beach, the pier, and the strand (basically a long bike path on the shoreline that connects Redondo Beach all the way up to Santa Monica). You're nearby the Del Amo mall, which was recently remodeled and used to be the largest mall in America until the 1970s. You're a short drive to Long Beach, home to the Aquarium of the Pacific, the Queen Mary, and the Long Beach Grand Prix. DTLA is 30 minutes away (albeit on a good day with absolutely no traffic), but the parks and beaches in PV are great if you want to escape the city. I also can't ignore the food scene. This is Yelp after all. Some of my favorites include: - Jus' Poke: Hawaiian poke place in Redondo - Coco Ichibanya: Japanese curry chain located in Torrance (RIP Curry House) - Handel's Ice Cream: best ice cream in the South Bay - Back Home in Lahaina: Hawaiian food in Carson - Nick's on 2nd: American food in Long Beach, but they have one in Manhattan Beach as well - Mitsuwa Market: Japanese market in Torrance with an awesome food court inside (Tokyo Central market in Gardena is also great) - Silog: local Filipino joint about a 5 minute walk from Seacrest So with the exception of some noise issues, Seacrest is overall a great choice if you're looking to getting settled in the South Bay. Just make sure to do your shopping with rent prices beforehand, as my experience was different during the pandemic. read more

This apartment complex leaves lots to desire. Leasing staff is rude and often lacks knowledge of anything going on at the complex, when touring the community I was forced to wait until my appointment time while the front desk person sat and did nothing. Seemed as though she just wanted to make me wait for the time slot. They are very often sitting all together in the offices on their phone or at the front desk chatting it up ignoring anyone that walks in. I have friends who live here who have said good things, but others who have experienced horror stories. When it rains there are leaks from windows, sky lights, and even flooding coming from the ground up! Vehicle thefts happen regularly, catalytic converters, broken windows, even entire vehicles stolen from their "secure" premises. The grounds are well maintained from an outsiders point of view, but fire alarms are going off constantly at all hours requiring full building evacuations. Elevators shut down or have issues all of the time. There are residents who are permitted to scream, yell, and start altercations with other residents and guests for using the amenities with no repercussions at all. The manager is extremely cold and rude unless you are one of her "favorites" - if you are on her bad side, good luck getting any resolution at all! Seems to be a roll of the dice here, you either get lucky and get a good unit and have a good experience or you don't. Good luck to anyone who can even qualify! read more

I been living here for 1 Month. The amount of friendly people you encounter and communication from Lumi the manager directly to tenants is fire! You can get almost anywhere you need to be in LA in less than 25 minutes. Some people complain about noise but I guess it really depends on your unit location. I face the pool and it's not that bad. She is the best. Lumi has also been a huge help throughout our stay here. I really enjoy the amenities the pool, gym and upper deck. The maintenance workers are some of the best I've met. Very happy clients here. We lived in Seacrest for a little over a year and I could not say enough good things about Seacrest. My hisband and I inigtially fell in love with how extensive their 2 fitness gyms with 1 gym located in each building. The fitness gym truly helped us improve our health. There's enough space that gives each resident privacy and convenience to finish their workout routine smoothly. Lumi, their manager is also very proactive and sends constant communication on any update or important announcement that residents should know. She also connects residents to each other by sending job openings, services being offered by neighbors, and any activities that could unite the community. Although we are not much involved due to our busy schedules, we are observant of and appreciate that we live in such community. I also didn't want to forget to mention how pretty and visually engaging their coworking spaces are. It always inspires me to do focused work when I I'm there. My husband also played with his friends in the basketball court which was close to our unit which was awesome. I think the only thing that I would have loved to see in Seacrest would be an indoor or an outdoor playground for residents will little kids. It would even have been extra wonderful. We also thank Brittany for assisting us on our very last day of occupancy and making the process smooth - it came full circle since Brittany also welcomed us into Seacrest last year. We also met John, who is such a friendly and accommodating neighbor, whom we will be keeping in touch with even after leaving Seacrest. Safe, Clean, Quiet, and fancy apartments. All the utilities/facilities are great. Packages are always safe here even if you pick them after few days. Leasing staff is helpful too. Lumi (Manager) from the Leasing office is always helpful and ready to answer all the questions. The only issue is, Rooms are a little smaller in size, and no play area for kids. But I knew these issues before moving in, so can't cut down my stars because of these factors :) Overall nice experience!! read more

My fiancé and I were strongly considering renting at Seacrest Homes Apartments. We took a tour of the facility and really thought we could call this place home. After turning in our applications along with the required documents we were approved. We were ecstatic, and the following day we went to sign the remaining paperwork and turn in our deposit for our unit. Days after placing our deposit, my fiancé received a call from management requesting additional information such as his "upcoming pay check" and W2. When we asked why they would they need this information, the managers response was that he wanted to see a paper trail as additional proof of income. This frustrated us because they had already ran a background and credit check, which came back positive. Positive enough for an approval days before. We had also already provided multiple pay stubs. Now less than a week later, management is requesting additional documentation. We have both rented before and we have never encountered such a request post-deposit and paperwork finalization. To take matters a step further, I received a call this morning from Seacrest Apartments asking who owns my families home. We have never received this type of treatment and skepticism from an apartment complex before. My fiancé and I are two young, African Americans who make a relatively decent living for ourselves and the impression from the apartment that we received is that they do not trust the validity of our income. At this point I feel they are discriminating against us. We no longer wish to rent with Seacrest Homes Apartments. We will take our business to a company who promotes growth and inclusiveness. Note: I have edited my review to accurately reflect how well the management team has handled the situation. Seacrest Homes Apartments is a very clean complex with great amenities for people who work from home. The tenants are all extremely friendly and seem to really enjoy the complex as well. These are all the reasons why this apartment complex drew us in. With that being said, after we moved in, the staff members that conduct leasing tours have not exactly been very inviting. I want to specifically mention the leasing team member Kristen who has constantly been extremely rude to my girlfriend and I with communication that I as well as others consider to be verbal harassment. As you could understand, this wouldn't exactly make us feel welcome or safe in this community. After speaking with the management team, I've been told that they are very sorry for how things happened and would work to getting this figured out. I honestly believe they will take steps to making things right. The last thing I want is for someone else to go through the same situation as we did. read more

I recently took an in person tour of this property while in search for a 2 bedroom / 2 bath apartment. I had 3 specific goals in mind for my search. 1. Price/affordability 2. Clean and newer property with w/d and AC in the unit. 3. South Bay location. The Seacrest Apartments fit all 3 of those criteria for me. Very spacious apartments, upscale interiors, clean property and facilities, great amenities, and very competitively priced. Unfortunately I had to push back the time table for my move and won't be able continue my application process. I'm writing this review however because I was thoroughly impressed with the property, and even more impressed with the leasing staff who worked with me. Rachel and Charlene were polite, knowledgeable, professional, and a complete pleasure to work with. They answered all my questions truthfully and made the entire application process smooth and worry free. I definitely plan to revisit this property when I'm finally able to move. read more

I lived in Seacrest for a little over 2 years (first in a 2 BR, and then a 3 BR to get a little extra space). I initially lived on the 6th floor on the 1311 side but actually ended up really liking the 2nd floor unit on the 1309 side overlooking the driveway. The 1311 side is slightly more lively since the leasing office is there and the gym is bigger. No complaints, the property is new and clean, but the best part was the management. Staff kept the property clean and safe, and were extremely responsible and friendly and addressed any maintenance issues very quickly. Moved out because of life changes and to go to a house, but I will look back on my time at Seacrest fondly. Convenient location - close to the 110 freeway and Sepulveda (the downside being Sepulveda can be a little busy). Numerous restaurants, Coffee Bean, and CVS closeby. I went to the CVS nonstop. Even during the COVID pandemic the staff kept the property clean and safe. Prior to that they had nice amenities and occasional community events. When I moved to the South Bay and was looking for a place to stay, there weren't many new modern complexes close to work but Seacrest was what I was looking for. The Managing Director named Brittany discriminated against me as a person and my application for unlawful reasons. To start the Seacrest website says it does a "soft credit score check " however Brittany according to her ran a hard check on mine without cause. The holding deposit portion of the application allows for 48 hours for all documents to be completed. I completed all documentation submission the same day which included 3 bank statements, pay stubs, a tax summary for 2022, qualified credit rating, a rental history from a previous landlord of 9 1/2 yrs(Brittany refused to call and check nor did she send email), a email from my prior landlord and had a qualifying credit score with my roommate. I have no evictions, no bankruptcy, no foreclosure and no criminal background. Despite ALL of that Brittany on the same day we applied sent email saying our application would not move forward. I immediately called and questioned that we have 48 hours to get any additional documents if needed and I would work on it if required (even though I had already met the income requirements). I asked why I was not given the full 48 hours. She then changed the reason for denying us by saying she divided the income over a one year period which made us short 1400 per month. According to there application a applicant only needs to show the last 60 days of income. I showed more than 60 days. I then informed her I was getting a bonus at work tomorrow Feb 8th for 2900 which is more than 1400.00. She changed it again and she the bonus is in February which doesn't apply to the whole year. I was not only disappointed but frustrated that Brittany keep adding reasons and I kept overcoming with more proof and she still refused to reconsider. Finally she said that Seacrest would have to charge me 2 months rent and a full security deposit. I informed her CA Civil Code 1950.5 prohibits any landlord from charging more than 2 months for any unfurnished apartment in totality. The Seacrest website also states 2 months. It was unclear why she was telling me I would have to pay 3 months. Despite the law, Brittany claimed that that is their policy and no exception could be made. That all applicants are treated with the same level of scrutiny and procedures. Yet, it goes against what there own website says. She had bank statements which clearly showed I had enough to cover all move in fees and yet she refused denied our application. I HAVE NEVER BEEN REJECTED WITH THIS LEVEL OF BLATANT DISCRIMINATION nor will I tolerate it. I do sincerely hope that the property owners rectify Brittany's unjustified behavior with a full written apology along with our application approval which should have been approved from the beginning. I don't want to pursue legal action but I will if this matter is not corrected ASAP. read more

For the area this is way overpriced, neighborhood behind these apartment complex is really awful. These prices are really close to Redondo beach rent, Id rather be close to the beach then between mulligans and a very bad neighborhood. I don't recommend moving in this community. We were here for two years. It was great at first especially when RICH was down in the office but after he left our experiences living here went downhill. Not only did the neighbors above of party all night long even earlier in the week we legit heard every footstep like they were intentionally stomping. So many compliments about the noise and with us having a newborn it was unbelievable even after supposedly being warned they were making too much noise the only then that was done was the property manager Lumi purchased rugs to try to eliminate the noise which when I say didn't help at all it was pointless it was almost like they got worse with the noise and when I say we heard everything, they would drop stuff on purpose, they would vacuum at 1/2 am, they would drag furniture all during the time where it's supposed to be quiet hours. Living here sucked. We then began to get picked on/ridiculed about marijuana smoke coming from our unit which I won't lie my partner did it once after his surgery but went out front every time after. It got to the point to if anyone near our unit smelt marijuana smoke we would receive a email from Lumi stating if it didn't stop we would have three days to vacate when it wasn't even coming from us. The new neighbors that moved in above us were even worse than the first people who lived there. Heavy steps all through the night, drilling noises. Finding ashes on our balcony from their unit but we got ridiculed for smoking when the ashes were coming from there. People who live by the pool complain about how loud kids may tend to get during summer and having fun on a hot summer day. They are kids so every laugh, every giggle, every light scream that wasn't consistent I'm supposed to tell them to be quite. IF YOU HAVE KIDS PLEASE THINK TWICE this community isn't KID FRIENDLY!! everyone in the office is rude/don't speak including the property manager who you would think would know better than all the other employees there. When I tell you Rich greeted us by name every time we would enter the leasing office his customer service was impeccable. The girls that replaced him sucked big time. You would walk in they would look up and continue on their phone wouldn't speak and you have to walk right by in order to get to the package room. As well as Lumi the property manager you will see her in passing (stairwells/parking garage) & again she will make eye contact but wouldn't speak, so why are you managing a property ? Like I said this was my dream please initially moving in being I grew up in Torrance bur that ended quickly. I have friends in both buildings that have said the same thing I am saying about the noise from upper units, the unfriendliness of all employees even a friend who left a bad review on yelp and Lumi called her husband and asked her to remove it lol this is just a sad place AVOID by all means NECESSARY!! read more

Seacrest Homes has been so welcoming to my husband and I from the moment we got to look at the models. I want to specifically direct the attention to one specific girl in the leasing office Kristen. All though all the girls are absolutely amazing, Kristen was the one who took the time to show us around and explain everything in great detail. She is extremely friendly and welcoming and is so knowledgeable in regards to the apartments. She always has a smile every time we cross paths and asks how we are doing and if we need anything to not hesitate and to stop by the office. Like I said all the girls are so amazing and helpful. I literally love every single one of them. It is so hard and overwhelming when is comes to moving especially to a new area and I have never felt more welcome by any group until I came across these wonderful girls!!!! Huge plus, everything is always cleaned and always smells so clean and fresh!!! We love it here! read more

My wife and I just moved out of Seacrest after living here for the last 2 years and only left because of some life changes, but otherwise would love to have stayed there longer. We moved in just after they opened and can honestly say that its the nicest complex we've ever stayed in. Our apartment was very clean and modern, and the the kitchen was what sold us on the apartment and one of the things we already miss most about it. We never had any issues with pests like roaches or bedbugs or anything. The facilities were beautiful and well-kept by the maintenance/facilities staff. We loved having a gym right downstairs that had almost everything we wanted in terms of equipment and was always clean. It also wasnt crowded most of the time. We used the sundeck on the top floor often, just to lounge or have drinks or to grill. Like with everything else, they do a good job of keeping it pretty clean up there. I think when I was looking for an apartment i looked up a lot of reviews and the main things i wanted to know were: Safety: they do a good job of addressing any issues that people bring to their attention and we never had any real concerns about safety at all Cleanliness: couldn't have asked for better maintained facilities. We had no problems with pests at all. All apartments were just built right before we moved in 2 years ago so the units should be like new still. Noise: we faced the pool and occasionally people would talk really loud down at the jacuzzi late after pool hours at night and it would echo through the whole complex, or fire alarms would go off sometimes , but it wasnt often and noise wasnt really anything that would keep me from living here. We would have happily lived here longer if we could have! read more

I am very happy with my new 2 bed/2 bath apartment but this review is more for the staff that helped me learn about and ultimately choose my new home. I first found out about this place on apartments.com and subsequently set up an appointment to view the place. Charlene was very professional and showed my family and me the different models and was very patient with the many questions that we threw at her. She had a very positive demeanor and was very keen that we were limited on time and was very accommodating to our schedule as we wanted to check out several different apartment complexes around Torrance. The property was great but it was partly because of the way we were treated by Charlene that we decided to go back for a second look about a week later. Unfortunately, Charlene was not available to show us the property that day as she was off but Rachel was available to take her place and was aware of my situation. We actually set up the last appointment of the day and as a consequence, I felt so bad when Rachel stayed about an hour after she was supposed to get off work to show us all the models and answer our questions. She understood that I was coming from out of town and that my time was limited. We signed on board in the end, not only because we liked the apartment complex, but because we appreciated the staff affiliated with Seacrest Home Apartments and felt that we could trust that they would help us resolve any potential hiccups that we may encounter while living here. read more
