The friendly staff here went above and beyond great customer service. I wish I could give them 10 stars. I highly recommend this auto shop.

I was told I needed a wheel alignment and agreed to have that done since there was one car on the rack and I was next. Four hours later the car was ready. As I was getting in the car, I saw a greasy hand print on the light colored fabric on the drivers seat. My radio station had been switched and no more than a block away my check engine light came on. I returned to Grease Monkey where I stayed for another hour as they tried to figure out what happened. After over an hour and no one making eye contact, a tech came out to tell me all of the screws in my air box were stripped and a new one would be ordered. They said they would order a new one and call me. I called the store mid week and asked if it was ordered and they said no. Was going to get ordered, I asked. We're talking about it was the reply. So, after five hours in their waiting room, over $250 spent, I have a car with a check engine light on, stained upholstery and a ruined airbox and the 4th of July weekend coming up. Things happen, but the lack of respect Grease Monkey has shown me as a customer and my car is unacceptable and disappointing.

The first time I had to use them there was a little bit of wait but they still got my car in quickly. They are honest with the pricing and are straight to the point on what needs to get done. Moving to a new city is scary, especially when I need car repairs and my car is not new, so I will need repairs. Someone recommended Wally's as honest, very good, but not the least expensive. I checked out their reviews and they were excellent, so I gave them a try. I had the car in for an oil change, front end alignment, and just look around to see what is what. I had a small leak which I photographed and showed them so they could check this out. My car is nineteen years old and is great shape all around with low mileage. I'm holding out on replacement because I really don't want another car. My Toyota Sequoia is amazing. Well, they diagnosed a major problem and one I suspected was present. I needed new axles in the front of my car which was causing an issue with steering. The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn and on a road trip back to Boise we suspected something was wrong. The leak was something totally different and I will mention this later in my review. I found Jack at the main desk was very willing to explain things to me and I had a lot of questions before spending major monies for repairs. I decided to have the work done, they found me a loaner, and when I picked my car up the next day it was amazing how much easier the steering wheel turned. Definitely the difficult steering problem was fixed. But now I had a leak of black grease on the garage floor. So I photographed the leaked black fluid and they took the car back. Again they provided me with a loaner and they found some grease which could have been causing the leak. So after the cleanup I drove my car back home. But the next morning the leak was still there. So back in it went. Now I don't blame Wally's for this need to be looked at again. It turns out they were being cautious with my money. I truly appreciate this! Again they could have wracked up a lot more charges and they didn't. During the replacement of the CV Axle one of the seals began to leak. This was not a cheap fix, and they could have upped the charge initially and replaced both in the initial work. As it turns out they only had to replace one seal, not both, and that saved me a lot of money. I like a cautious mechanic! Definitely saved me money and repaired only what was needed. As to the leak I initially took the car in for...turns out it is an air conditioning fluid leak and can wait until Spring time to fix it. So again they are a cautious, but careful repair shop. I will continue to use Wally's as my repair shop. And grateful that they are able to work on nineteen year old cars!

They said the battery was dead and they couldn't do any further testing without a new battery. They send me an invoice with several parts that needed to be replaced. I was confused so asked for clarification-- on one hand, they said they haven't done any testing at all, on the other, they wanted to replace several parts - total bill $2300. I ask and they reiterate that they need to replace the battery to do the testing. At the same time, they admit that they aren't sure if all those parts need to be replaced, but still asked for me to approve the work. I authorize the battery change and testing on their online app assuming that they'd replace the battery and we could continue with the testing... I did NOT approve the part replacements because they made it very clear that they weren't sure what needed to be replaced. A week later, I've heard nothing, so I text them back. They closed the ticket because I wasn't a good fit for them -- I guess asking questions about your vehicle is too much for these guys to handle. End result - we've been without a car for a week. When we arrived to the lot to test drive the car, the guy working in the lot that brought the car up to the front also confirmed that we price for this vehicle was $1,495. We test drove the Yaris and it died while we were out so we had have it jumped and we came back and told the lot about the problems we discovered with it - in addition to the battery it needed and alignment and the windshield needed a fix. The guy at the desk confirmed that they would fix those issues and it would still be the same price out the door. We then proceeded to test drive one other car and decided that the Yaris was best. When we got back the guy at the desk then proceeded to tell us the price for the Yaris was $2995 (THE PRICE DOUBLED IN THE TIME WE TEST DROVE AND CAME BACK TO THE LOT) As a buisness Owner myself I have never seen such a lack of integrity. We were excited and ready to do business with this lot but the experience we had was the complete opposite of what we had expected or have every experienced! We brought this issue to the owners attention and they gave us lies as excuses... saying that it takes 24 hours for the price to update - which we know is a complete lie because we saw the price online that day and that is the whole reason we came to test drive that car because it was in our budget. Be very careful when dealing with this lot because based on our experience - we want to make sure know one else has to experience this same thing... if you do decide to do buisness with this lot and see a good price online - take a screen shot of the price and protect yourself. Good luck!
