Based on Route 8-10) I took a day off work waited for them until 3pm At 3:10 they text me. 3-5 appointment. They never came. I contacted American home shield ( I have warranty with them ). unfortunately we were forced to use Sears Home (Choice) for AC troubleshooting on 2 separate but subsequent occasions. The required repair remained incomplete after. The 1st technician diagnosed a failed capacitor, replaced it with no effect. We were forced to reopen the case with a choice who dispatched another Sears Home technician (Hung) who diagnosed a failed blower mower. Choice informed us that this component was not "covered" and after 5veeeks we were forced to contact another vendor who diagnosed the component as a relay and burnt wires that preceded the blower motor. Replacement solved the issue; no thanks to Sears! Note: the blower motor had no power due to the failed relay and could not have been evaluated properly...again, thanks Sears. read more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!! We made a claim two weeks ago (Sears collected my deposit), and a tech came out once??!! Ever since then, Sears text me and says they are on their way and they dont show up. They even cancelled a few appts without speaking to me???? I called American Home Shield, and they are asking me to call Sears if they don't show up. I explained that I will NOT be making that call as I do not work for either company. Someone needs to call me and let me know WHY our ice maker is STILL not working?? They do everything possible NOT to REPLACE the appliance!! I am done taking days off work and buying ice!! read more

I used the Kenmore "clean oven" button and it fried the thermal fuse which is in the back of the oven accessible only from the outside. Thank you Kenmore. ATTEMPT 1: Sent photos to Sears Home Services of my double oven to show it is in a cabinet. Will need two men to pull it out, replace fuse, and reinstall. Told them the likely part that is needed. The one guy who came out neither saw the photos nor did he read about the actual problem. I paid $129 for him to diagnose exactly what I suggested the problem was. Part can be purchased from $30-$50 but KHS charges $80. Had to make a second appt and order the part. They charged me $540 and that is with the $129 subtracted to install this small fuse!!! ATTEMPT 2: Part arrived the following Thursday. Second appt was scheduled for Friday. Stayed home on Friday to wait for guys to arrive. NO SHOW. Still dont understand why but Appt was apparently canceled unilaterally by KHS. I was getting emails to resched but the website showed I still had the appt. Rescheduled appt. again. ATTEMPT 3: Waited 12-4 on a Saturday and SHS was a NO SHOW!!! No notification. ATTEMPT 4: Thereafter, I got an email from KHS with a fourth appt scheduled without consulting me as to the time. I now have 8 hours invested in this crap. The only option I have is to cross my fingers. If they are a no show again, I will expect reimbursement. It is impossible to talk to an actual person on KHS's customer service number. Plus, the directions are circuitous. No option to leave msgs either. I'm paying a fortune to get this fuse installed and getting punched in the face all along the way for shelling out my cash. Never again will I do business with this pseudo business. And the thing is, I need other appliance repairs but it wont be a company with such poor business practices. read more

HORRIBLE! After making my appt I was flooded with multiple txt to confirm and I did. Tech came for the diagnostic then scheduled for two days later. I Took off work for appt btwn 7 & 11. NO ONE EVER SHOWED!! Tried to call Sears and there is NO option to speak to a person. 100% AI the only option she gave was to cancel or reschedule! They don't offer any options for human customer service after payin my money. The rescheduled appt was 2 days later btwn 8-12. Of course once again I waited over an hour 1/2 past the window. My main problem w this service is as a customer I should be able to call with a problem. That's non existent. Poor. Never again. I'll buy my appliances anywhere else. Sears postponed my service call 3 times without even calling me nor with an explanation. I called me Warranty Company because I needed my refrigerator fixed and like I said they never called but cancelled on me 3 times. If it weren't for me calling, I would've waited and waited. I told my warranty company that if I put a service request I do not want to be assigned to Sears. Also they do not have live representatives when you call in. The communication process was absolutely horrid. My phone was blown up constant with text messages, even though I confirmed my schedule several times. The person that came to my home the first time ordered a part that was unnecessary. According to the person that visited. The second person that came to my Dante was extremely rude and surly. And Dante told me that he didn't have anything to do with what the other person said he was just doing what he was told. That is probably accurate from his perspective, but totally unacceptable and unprofessional . When he became argumentative about who my home Warranty was with I asked them to leave my home. He said that my Warranty was American Home, and it is 2-10 Home Warranty. I am very concerned that a person representing another came to my home. He was very rude telling me that he didn't know anything about what I was talking about. When I showed him my policy. Absolutely terrible experience. They did not show up THREE separate times and did not even give us notice. They give a timeframe of 8am-5pm so we have to take the whole day off for work just for them to cancel at the last minute. When they finally came they ordered the wrong parts and took weeks for another one to arrive. Now the job suddenly requires two people. That wasn't the case the first time and if they had actually paid attention they would've known that from the start & scheduled accordingly. It's impossible to talk to a real person and get a clear answer. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic professionalism is horrendous. On the first visit I would have given the technician a high score, He was able to determine the problem and order the part. Michael said the part would come to my house, but that it would be a while before he could return, so he showed me how to easily snap it into place myself. He said however, in order to fulfill the contract, he had to return to be sure things were working. I had a 2nd appointment scheduled for today. I waited for over 6 hours and finally got a call from Michael. He was checking how the part and the dishwasher was doing. He was not coming to my home. I went off the deep end at him for wasting my whole day waiting for him. Why didn't he call in the morning and what about fulfilling the 2-10 contract? I attempted to call Sears and complain, but there is absolutely no way to reach a live representative. This AI is BS. You can't have a conversation with AI. Took me half hour to find a phone number to call for a human to pick up (all AI - useless), I had to hit the option "buy warrenty" to get a human, I spoke to 10 different people, they told me that my appointment was moved to Aug 6th, without my approval or consent. They were supposed to call or text me but they never did. I took off from work, and wasted 4 hours this am. Found out my tech ordered new parts to be delivered to my house, they came from AMAZON -and are chinese.
