Awesome service in my fridge. They knew exactly what they were doing and were in and out right away.

Called Jerrell at Olympus and explained the problem with an LG Refrigerator that has cooling problems. He handled diagnosing the problem found that the compressor had failed. The part was under warranty from LG (10 years) but the labor was not. He dealt with LG to get the part. He then installed it and it is working better than ever. I have a temp probe that I have been monitoring it since I first had a problem. I attached the graph from when he worked on it and within hours it was down past 0 degrees. His work was very neat and took great care to protect the floor with a protective plastic sheet. Replacing the compressor is a BIG job with discharging, cutting, brazing with torch, programming circuit board for new model compressor and charging the sealed system. He was very reasonable and quoted exactly what was needed and a flat rate for the labor. No surprises. Considering the number of hours involved, specialized gear and delicate work, it was a bargain! If you are looking for a good repair man this is your guy. I was not looking forward to calling a appliance repair service as you all know how the normal goes. However, this was a very pleasant experience where I was able schedule his visit for the next day. He quoted me a very fair price for his visit...yes I was skeptical but when he came, did his diagnosis his actual cost was less than his quote. He told me I needed to replace a part, the problem with the part...but what he also told me was that it wouldn't be cost effective for him to come back and put it in as it was something that I could easily order and put in myself. He gave me the part number and showed me how to put it in. He did ask if I needed for him to come back, but I figured I could do that myself. He wore his mask the whole time, and wore covers over his shoes. It was a very pleasant experience and I will use him again if necessary. read more

I own a Whirlpool refrigerator with the freezer on top made over twenty years with no problems other than the icemaker about 10 years ago, The freezer section recently became loud and noisy with symptoms of a bad evaporator fan. I checked with a parts place in the area. Whirlpool has quit making the OEM part for it but aftermarket evaporator fans for my unit are available from different manufacturers for less than $30. Refrigerators were simpler and better made 20 years ago so I decided to get it repaired, especially given the lack of models that would fit my space well and the current shortage of new refrigerators and resulting lack of selection and high prices. I called the appliance repair company that I had been using and they gave me an estimate of over $300 to repair the unit which I thought was excessive. I used yelp and got multiple bids. Olympus was by far the best in terms of price and their reviews while few were excellent. The repair person was dedicated from the beginning in getting the repair right. The first evaporator fan failed shortly after he put it in so he got another one from a different manufacturer and the refrigerator is now working fine. The repair took multiple visits but the owner came back each time in a timely positive manner. He fully honored his warranty and got the unit working right. This whole process was incredible from beginning to end. Jerrell was the first one to respond to my yelp request on a weekend after my dishwasher leaked all over the place including my basement. I waited for a few more responses from other appliance repair companies that had more reviews but decided to go with him because he was able to come out that next day. Which was great because I had dishwasher full of dirty dishes and was unable to use the kitchen sink to clean them. Also, if I waited until Monday, I would need to take off work. Jerrell was punctual, tidy, and quick to repair. I also had him look at my stove and asked about my microwave and fridge. I had gotten other estimates on repairs for these three appliances that were several hundred dollars more than his quotes (despite being the same scope of work and repair). Additionally, he explained that my cookie sheets in the storage under my oven were pushed so far back they may be interfering with the spark and also cleaned something behind my stove which resulted in my stove working 100% of the time. Previously it only worked about 50% of the time and ruined many a dinners. Looks like I won't even be needing the repair after all!
