They canceled on us THREE TIMES. We were without our refrigerator for over a month. If you schedule a repair, they give you 8am -5pm time window, so we had to clear our schedules only to be canceled on the day of. Finally canceled our service request because we had no faith that they would show up. The support is frustrating. After scheduling a repair with original technician for 7/16, AI changed repair date to 7/15 saying the part would not arrive in time? No technician 7/15, no technician 7/16. Now I received an email without explanation partial refunding my service charge but still charging diagnostic fee of $129 + 5.81 tax. and asking if I want to return the part! Called their service center and was told to call back tomorrow morning because repair scheduling was closed and customer service person could not help! In reading other reviews this seems to be a pattern! Tried to call local Sears Service, Lihue and they are not answering calls! STAY AWAY FROM SEARS APPPLIANCE REPAIR until they get their AI act together! Will follow up after trying again tomorrow to reschedule! read more

The very worst!! I've had a broken ice maker for close to two months. Scheduled an appointment for it on 5/7. Cancelled by AI twice finally came one month later on 6/5 ordered an ice maker it was sent to the house scheduled to put in on 6/23 AI cancelled that day rescheduled to 7/14. Really to install an ice machine. Pleeeease. Sears AIN'T what it once done. What a shame!!!! read more

I ordered a part for my Maytag washer back on May, 23 2024 through the link sent by the technician. I paid approximately $420. I have never received any emails regarding the status and when I would call I was told the part order was cancelled approximately 1 month ago. I asked about a refund and keep getting the run around. I even did the chat line via the website and was told 1.5 weeks ago that I should get a status on my refund in approximately 3 business days. I got no communication from them. Very frustrating and I'm even contemplating cancelling the warranty that I purchased after the diagnosis of my washer that I pay for monthly. read more

The worst service experience we've ever experienced. After they cancelled several appointments, without explanation, for several months, I finally fixed the appliance myself. We called them in February, I fixed the problem myself in July. I would've fixed it earlier but it was under warranty. Every time I tried to call them I would be transferred out of country to someone who would not assist us at all.They should not be in business. read more

total incompetence and costly. You be the judge: an electric stove stopped working at one of our rentals last January. We contacted Sears without delays to avoid inconvenience for our tenants, and have one of their technician look at it ( $99 non-refundable for diagnostic only , but applicable to eventual cost of repairs. His so-called "diagnostic" was the control board was defective and these are not made anymore ( Kenmore). We found out later that wasn't true, those are available on-line, but not at Sears, for $235. We took his word for it and paid $103.46 for his service, and proceeded to order a new 24" electric range ($909.43) because there aren't any available 24" on Kauai. We also had to provide our tenants with a couple of electric plates ($100) so they could cook their meals while waiting for the new stove. We also gave them a break on the rent , to compensate for the inconvenience:$200. The new stove finally showed up at the end of February. We delivered it and installed it after removing the old one, which ended up in the dump. We plugged in this brand new stove and then...Nothing, or rather very weak heating. Back with a circuit tester: sure enough only one side of the 240v outlet worked. It turned out it was the two-pole breaker. One side was dead. We changed the breaker: end of the problem. Now, any real electric appliance repair-person knows the first thing you check is the power supply. To summarize: we threw away a perfectly good stove, bought a new one and 2 heating plates, gave a break on the rent to our tenants , and paid for lousy service to start with. Total: $1300 (not including our work). Of course we took the matter to Sears Customer Service. We gave them two weeks to reimburse us for the $103.46 or we would tell this story everywhere and go to small claims. You can guess they haven't reimbursed anything. We will take Sears to small claims for the $1300. we do not have the name of the technician, We guess Sears prefers to be cautious in the business of misrepresentation: the diagnostic bill only list a technician number. Ok, still a joke. After Sears received a claim from our Mastercard, the technician came out and attempted repair. Parts ordered did not work so additional part ordered. New appointment set. Part came, and on date promised as usual the service was cancelled on that day. Recalling to find out what happened found my service order was no longer valid and of course, no human available to talk to. The service men originally did not complete the reinstall as they expected to return. Oven is half in and half out. Using the Honolulu number from the Mastercard denial, found that number was no longer in service. Received response from Sears to our Yelp complaint which tells us to contact website. Same runaround. So again, have part and absolutely no way to contact Sears. Tried corporate, but no one answers and machine directs to website. Avoid at all cost. We had a issue with our oven. Made an appointment. Guy comes a week or so later and had to order the part. Part comes in and he verbally told my husband which day and time he will come over to install the part. . We had already moved out of the house and needed the part installed asap. Well, turns out the guy never showed up. No call, no show. My husband waited for four hours in a empty house waiting for the guy to come. Talk about disappointment. Epic fail. I give the guy a F. Talk about unprofessional and a disgrace. If I knew the guys name, I would add it here. I doubt we'll use this company again. read more

Our washer stopped on spin cycle. Left messages for a call back from several different companies & only Sears immediately took my call & scheduled the very next day. Derek Medeiros was the technician and it took him no longer then 15 minutes to diagnose & change out the part. Sears is a MUST call if you want a pleasant & extremely knowledgeable & courteous technician. We are so pleased w/ the quick & friendly service from beginning to end & will only be calling Sears if we run into any appliance problems. Worst Appliance repair experience ever. Went over a month with a non-working dryer but had to pay up front for the repair. Once my part came in it took another 2 weeks to get someone to come back out. If you call the 800 number no one cares or will give you the technicians name or his office number. You're not a customer with them but just a transaction. No one ever called me back from numerous customer service requests on status updates. Do not get the Home Appliance Warranty. Terrible, terrible, terrible!! The guy misdiagnosed the problem and the wrong part is backordered. They will not send a person out to reassess until the backordered part arrives. This has been 3 weeks without a washer and indefinite until they will actually help. Buying a new washer and cancelling this terrible warranty. One of the technicians does not return calls at all. Ugh! read more
