I took my teen daughter, I paid $14 or $15 per person to be in a room with cats for 1 hour, and left after 10 minutes. Given that it says Cafe, I assumed there would be food available, at a minimum I thought I was going to get to hold a cat while drinking a latte. There were a few concessions you could buy, like M&M's. There are rules such as you cannot pick up the cats. I don't know about other cat lovers, but if you can't snuggle a cat I don't know how to tell if it's a fit for you or not lol. My daughter was the one who asked if we could leave, but I did not hesitate to do so. I couldn't help but think we could have been at the humane society holding cats for free. My little guy is a bit timid, but I think he has gotten comfy with her over the past few years and so I don't feel too nervous when I leave him. The store itself has a ton of toys, treats, foods and snacks for all types of pets and Baxter will always leave with at least 1-2 new treats as a reward for being a good boy at the groomers! The cashiers are usually very helpful and whenever there are coupons to use for items or grooming they have offered to scan the coupon or enter the code which is super nice. Since I was a recent adopter, I filled out some special paperwork and The PetSmart Foundation will make a donation to Needy Paws Rescue. It is good to see a Big Box retailer supporting local charities. Not only do they make the charitable donation, they give the new dog parent a coupon book worth over $350. While I was there, I shopped for a new food for my, Sophia. She had just had an appointment with her new vet and got some new food recommendations. It was good to see that PetSmart carried all three. All three had good pricing, but I chose the brand that is located in STL. The store was clean, well organized and the staff was helpful and friendly, making for a pleasant shopping experience.

It did not take long, we found the perfect one here at TU in Kirkwood. Sophia's signature color is pink and we found one that is a medium pink with paw prints on it. She tried the collar on and it was a perfect fit. So we got the matching leash, too. She is going to look so stylish walking in our neighborhood. I'm making her wait till the end of the month on her actual day, before she can start wearing it. We also picked her up a, Princess Crown cookie. Of course, TU does them in pink, so it is as if they made it just for her. The staff here is always super friendly and makes over all the dogs. They're also very knowledgeable in the premium foods if you need assistance with that, too. When you shop, be sure to sign up for the rewards program. There's lots of perks for your fur-baby. We tried one other that seemed ok but you know when sometimes something just feels off? So I asked & our vet recommended Silver Maple instead...best thing ever. My first glimpse of how genuinely they care for our dogs was how nicely he goes in (tail is still down but he readily goes in after being greeted like Norm from Cheers). One time he got sick just before our Xmas vacation. He had only been on his meds for 2days before I had to drop him off but they have their system down to a science. It's simple but it's one they are clear on so there are no mistakes. Pam even called me to tell me she found throw up in his crate but wondered if giving him his meds with food would be less caustic & help him feel better...thoughtful & considerate problem solver & diplomatically explained! During that same boarding we were snowed in on the mountains in CO & couldn't get back on time. Not only did Pam accommodate but she also made sure he had enough of his meds. She genuinely loves animals & will go to bat for them. Communication & planning is key. If you'll be traveling over the holidays, book early. Always pack extra food & Rx in case it gets dropped or don't pack enough food. They took a Chewy delivery of food bc I stupidly didn't count out the correct numbers of cans. Cost-wise, we have found it to be very much worthwhile bc we absolutely know he's in good hands. When I pulled up to the farm you didn't hear any barking. When I walked in to the office there wasn't an aroma of urine or bleach. They took me back to the kennels and there were blankets and beds in them and the dogs were calm and again no smell. Regarding water feature service: I shimmied over to PondMarket in South County to figure out where…read morein the world to start with a problem I had on a newly acquired waterfall in my backyard. They filled me in on all the possible reasons my water feature could be losing water and gave me the number of Chad at Gateway Aquatics to come look at it. We are handy. My husband is in construction. We both stared at the water feature and had no idea where to even start troubleshooting it. I was SO grateful when Chad came by. Now, it's not free to have him come by...but it's helpful. He was very informative in explaining all the possible issues and how they could go about fixing it. He texted me an estimate that day or the next and could start the work the following week. I waited about a month to schedule but he was on it then. A 50% payment is required before the work is done and it can be paid by credit card with no extra fee. Chad and the helper came by on time and did a great job fixing it. In my case, the water feature was leaking water. They dug up the hillside, replaced the hose, replaced one pump, replaced the waterfall box, and a few other small things. Total was around $2,500. I was shocked to hear him tell me how much people pay for these things. SHOCKED. I inherited it in a house purchase and it better be good for a while with no calls to Chad needed!
