They filled me in on all the possible reasons my water feature could be losing water and gave me the number of Chad at Gateway Aquatics to come look at it. We are handy. My husband is in construction. We both stared at the water feature and had no idea where to even start troubleshooting it. I was SO grateful when Chad came by. Now, it's not free to have him come by...but it's helpful. He was very informative in explaining all the possible issues and how they could go about fixing it. He texted me an estimate that day or the next and could start the work the following week. I waited about a month to schedule but he was on it then. A 50% payment is required before the work is done and it can be paid by credit card with no extra fee. Chad and the helper came by on time and did a great job fixing it. In my case, the water feature was leaking water. They dug up the hillside, replaced the hose, replaced one pump, replaced the waterfall box, and a few other small things. Total was around $2,500. I was shocked to hear him tell me how much people pay for these things. SHOCKED. I inherited it in a house purchase and it better be good for a while with no calls to Chad needed!

My Havanese was smelling everything - the vibes were nice and not chaotic. We ended up with bag of new kibble, and a dental chew. They have grooming in the back of the store, and a self dog wash center which is pretty cool. They also offer vaccinations every Thursday, as long as you sign up in advance! Near the register, they have shelves to donate goods for animals in shelters and little bios in case you are interested in adoting them! It has a really good local feel to it, and I think we will be back to try grooming for our hairy dude.

Instead of being understanding, the staff simply pointed to the cleaning spray and paper towels and told me to clean it up, not too big of a deal. On her last visit, the grooming took over six hours. When I asked if the dogs are given bathroom breaks during such long stays, I was told it is against corporate policy. Concerned for the well-being of the animals, I called corporate to politely suggest they reconsider this policy for pets left there for extended periods. Instead of taking the feedback, Petco chose to retaliate. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment today, Jada had to inform us that corporate had canceled our appointment and blacklisted our dog from being groomed because they "weren't comfortable" anymore and feared "other issues could arise." It is deeply disappointing that a massive pet care company would ban a loyal customer simply for questioning a policy that keeps dogs crated for six hours without a bathroom break. If they are this defensive over a basic question about animal welfare, it makes you wonder what else they are trying to hide. Take your pets elsewhere.
