First you grab a shirt, then you grab a tray, then you figure out which art project you want to do. Once that's done, you go to the counter and tell the girl. She gets you all set up with your canvas, your paints and your instructions! They have a drying station so that you can dry your art in between the different stages. I would highly recommend and I would go back in a heartbeat! I think our total for 2 paintings was $54, so it's not a terrible price when you consider how much you have to work with! It's perfect for anyone who enjoys crafting and painting! Oh and they have take-home kits. Take home kits were $28 each but you get everything in them!

What a great idea for kids! Took my kids here as I thought it would be a good rainy day activity…read more Apparently everyone else had the same idea. We came on a Monday morning not knowing it would be crowded and were quoted a 45-60 minute wait. The art studio is upstairs and there is only space for a handful of families to be up there at a time. We got on the list and waited until it was our turn to go upstairs. It did end up being about that long. The staff here were super friendly and helpful with explaining everything. They provide smocks to wear and all of the supplies you need. They have a variety of projects to pick from. The price range of the projects seems to be about $10-$35 dollars. My son we had do the cheapest one because I knew he wouldn't take it very seriously and was just trying to occupy him. I let my daughter do one of the small canvases which I believe were $28 because I knew she would take it seriously. She picked the unicorn canvas and loved doing it. They give you the instructions on how to do the project and things to trace so it is easier for the younger kids. She loved it and my kids were entertained for over an hour. I would defintley come again and I know my daughter already wants to come back.

I would give Redbird Art Experience ten stars if I could. My mom and I were vacationing in the area…read moreand found this online when searching for some art classes. Redbird Art Experience is nestled within a really cool and well organized antique shop with many interesting booths. I made a reservation with Robin from Redbird via text and she was very accommodating and kind. When we arrived for our reservation, Robin explained the process to us and encouraged us to let our creativity go wild. There were many substrates to pick from including rectangular pieces of wood, frames, wood cut into shapes like mermaids, stars, hearts, and more. Once we picked our "canvases" we explored the hundreds of materials Robin has in jars, buckets, and bowls around the studio. The materials were incredible. They ranged from glass, to seashells, beads, broken jewelry bits, glass doll body parts, scrabble letters, collage paper materials, and so much more. It was so exciting and fun to dig through jars of different materials, looking for the most peculiar and interesting piece to include in my artwork. I was especially intrigued by the glass doll body parts and Robin was so encouraging and excited for me to use some! Any additional materials needed like glue, scissors, or paint were also provided by Robin. We arrived for our reservation at 12 pm and left at 4 pm and let me tell you, time flew. I had such a blast creating my artwork using materials that I've never worked with before. During our time there, Robin played some great music and offered us water and snacks which was lovely because we were there for so many hours! If you are a creative person, I strongly encourage checking out Redbird. It is totally child friendly as well. I am so bummed that I live all the way in NYC and can't come do this at least once a month. Robin is awesome, the space is fantastic and so inspiring to be in, and the prices are unbeatable. It was $25 for the picture frame I chose to make art with, and all the materials are included in the price. There's literally no better way to spend a day than at Redbird!

As a terrible artist, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Robin, the owner, is so hands-on and helpful…read more Such a joy be around and very accommodating. Her collection of materials is impressively vast. A terrific experience for families on vacation, couples on a date, and individuals looking for a cathartic activity!
