The first time we went in with my just turned 7-year old, the dentist (still have no idea who that guy was because he never introduced himself and apparently he was NOT Dr. Wagner) recommended pulling 4 baby teeth and basically scared the crap out of both me and my child. She cried when we got back in the car. I was fairly shaken myself. I expected to be told she needed spacers or something like that to make more room. Not that we need to rip 4 teeth out of her head or suffer the consequences of horribly crooked teeth forever. He told me the adult teeth about to come in were already crooked. (They have since grown in and surprise - they're NOT crooked at all.) I get that this stuff is routine for the dentist but it was seriously poorly done from my perspective. The next time we came in a few months later (after having teeth pulled) a different guy saw her and said we're ready to do the lingual arch. (I think He was Dr. Wagner, but he didn't introduce himself either.) I very much dislike not being able to go back with my child when she is getting whatever done. The lingual arch requires 3 visits. They said I can't come with her because of HIPPA and OSHA. I don't entirely disagree, it IS a violation of privacy to have an open clinical environment and to treat multiple patients in front of each other - regardless of whether a parent is present. Maybe for putting on bands or small adjustments this is no big deal but it's still a violation of privacy. However, for a nervous 7-year old who was already brought to tears in your office to have no choice...I just think it's really inappropriate to not have an option to provide her care in a way that allowed her to be at ease by me coming with her.

If I could give zero stars I would. I had called prior to scheduling a consult with them to see if…read morethey could do cash or check without a card needing to be on file, I was told that wasn't and issue if I was paying by cash or check as I do not have a card to place on file. Had the consult and was scheduled for scan of teeth to be able to get aligners made. Was then told I could not start treatment until I had card on file. I explained multiple times I don't have a card and I'd be paying with cash or check. They then try to ask me for banking checking and routing number again explained I asked before even scheduling consult with them if I needed card on file and did record my conversation when I had it with the rep that told me I didn't need card on file. They then try to offer me after maybe about a week of going back and further that I could do 1 set of aligners a month once I pay in cash or check. Uhm no too late. I'm not the one who made the mistake and gave out incorrect information. If someone makes a mistake good customer service is honoring that mistake that was made but obviously here they do not care about good customer service.

On October 28th, 2024 the day I received the new account info I went into the office to update the EFT info. It seemed all was well. Flash forward to today. I called to make a follow up appointment and they informed me my account had gone to collections. Excuse me? I have never received a phone call, voice message, email, or any other form of communication period. They claim to have called sent emails and letters but unfortunately the inbox and phone records tell a very different story. It's extremely frustrating and disappointing to not only be overlooked but also left to sort out what to do next with my treatment. Both of my daughters have been patients here in the past for orthodontics receiving their full course of treatment, over the course of several years, paid in full with no issues what so ever. In fact last year I encouraged my nephews and sister in law to also seek treatment with these folks which they have also done with no issues. Now I'm left sorting out what do next with this process its a big issue to be sure. I will be sure to share this experience with all my friends and family and those who are already patients should perhaps consider a move to another office for their ortho needs. I would encourage anyone looking at this office to think twice. Their communication is non existent and evidently they have no issue at all creating a narrative that simply isn't accurate and removing you without any compassion or concern for what comes next. I will follow up with what additional steps we take and their outcome. STAY AWAY!

They take the time to work with their clients to identify a treatment plan with a gentle and kind approach. Dr Miller is honest and genuine, and will provide you a program that works for you, because he does care. Some orthodontists make recommendations that may not be needed or perhaps fit a person's budget. Most importantly, everyone is very experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. The level of care and orthodontic expertise you receive will be superior. Let's be honest, having work done on your teeth could cause anxiety. Dr Miller's office environment is comfortable and welcoming. I can honestly say that I looked forward to visiting the office, and I miss it now that my teeth are straight and healthy!

Dr. Miller and his staff are STELLAR…read more I have researched by and far for the best orthodontist north of Arizona and he is by far, the best! I had a horrible trauma to my mouth several years ago and have had hours of research and numerous consultations that I'm familiar with not only what I want but what to expect. I recently moved and I failed to make my initial appointment (sorry Dr. M and Jan, my faux pas) and called back a few months later and I was able to get right in. Dr. Miller and I had a brutally honest chat and we were in total agreement about my treatment, plan and duration. I've been a patient of his Portland office for about three months now and my smile is looking more radiant than ever. Thank you, Dr. Miller for not only providing exceptional service but providing those minor details that make me delighted as a patient.

I wanted to set my bite so that my top teeth were in front of my lower teeth allowing me to prep for veneers after treatment. Doctor Pritchard and his team have been fantastic to work with. They are friendly, caring, professional and more importantly, they achieved exactly what I was looking for in an end result. From start to finish it has been a pleasure and I would absolutely refer them to anyone looking for an orthodontist. I assure you, you're in great hands. I'm looking to continue this relationship for future years to come.

After my braces came off, I developed TMJ symptoms that I had never dealt with before treatment,…read moreincluding headaches, jaw clicking, muscle tension, and needing to stick to a soft food diet. My bite felt off, my teeth would squeak together, and eating became uncomfortable, especially on one side. When I brought these concerns up, I felt like they were minimized. I was told to take ibuprofen and that I was likely chewing too roughly or just adjusting to new contact points. Over time, I started to feel judged and frustrating to deal with whenever I brought up ongoing problems. I also had trouble with my teeth shifting. Even with consistent retainer use, I would develop gaps easily. After retreatment and about a year of TMJ problems, I tried again to discuss my ongoing pain and bite discomfort. The suggestion I received was Botox every few months, which would have cost thousands of dollars, along with working on clenching/grinding. The frustrating part is that I had none of these jaw issues before braces. My teeth were also polished in an attempt to adjust my bite, but I am still unsure whether that helped or made things worse. My bite is still uncomfortable, I developed gaps again after returning to nighttime retainer wear, and I still cannot eat comfortably on one side. It has been honestly depressing to spend over $5,000 on something I hoped would improve my life, only to feel like it made my quality of life worse. I expected some discomfort with orthodontic treatment, but I did not expect long-term jaw pain, bite discomfort, food limitations, and feeling uncomfortable advocating for myself afterward. I eventually went to a medical doctor and was prescribed muscle relaxers to reduce strain on my jaw, which helped with the clicking and headaches and cost me about $2. I still deal with muscle spasms and bite discomfort, but I no longer feel comfortable bringing these concerns up at this office. At this point, I'll be seeking help elsewhere. I wish my concerns had been taken more seriously, especially since these problems started after orthodontic treatment.
