With the loss of these doctors, this practice has steadily declined over the years. thankfully as my kids get older, the less we need a doctor. Today, I needed to schedule a follow up appt for my son who was in a major car accident. When calling there have been over 30 callers ahead of us so we have waited only to be disconnected after waiting for 30 minutes each time. This has happened 4 times now and I am currently still on hold waiting for the 5th time with 19 callers ahead of me. I have wasted over 2 hours trying desperately to make an appt with our doctor and still can't get through to anyone online or on the phone. This has been unbelievable for a doctors office. I am currently shopping for a new doctor for my children.

For the most part the care here is good: I feel like the nurses are great but sometimes the doctor…read morepartners are cycled through since it's pretty busy all of the time, some doctors are better than others. Some are a little less personable and seem very cold and just not much of caring for my little toddler. But we have also had some great ones, I really just depends. Usually the wait time isn't that bad either which is good since waiting with a sick toddler is no fun. Overall the 4 years we've been here care has been pretty recommended!

Since last year, I have had frequent appointments with Dr. Maria Streck, one of MUSC's immunologists, who fortunately for me, practices out of this convenient location. What a pleasure ... park right outside the storefront (lots of free parking) and walk right in. Check in is quick and Dr. Streck is always on time. Pre-visit check in is completed on line, prior to my visit, so review by staff is quick and easy. I've had some major and still emerging health issues over the last year and Dr. Streck has been wonderful. She is patient, supportive, compassionate and explains terms in a manner that is easy for me to understand. She quickly responds to questions I send to her through the MUSC mychart portal, unfortunately, a rarity these days. While I'm not sure where my journey will take me, Dr. Maria Streck, is a constant I can count on.

Their is two sides to the waiting room, one for the sick, and one for the healthy. They have a great fish tank in the middle so the kids have something to look at! I have Dr. Smith as my sons Dr. and I just love his personality and professionalism. He likes to make light of everything and I truly appreciate that. His nurse Bianca is so awesome as well. She always has the biggest smile on her face and is so caring. I am so happy I found this place and as long as I am in Charleston I will forever bring my children here!

They don't know how to use it or it's AI generated so the last person that picked it up the next person won't see the message so that way you have to send it again and again then you call the and then they you straight to a voicemail and then the nurses that callback they don't leave a detailed voicemail so then you gotta go through this all over again for hours just to get a answer from first thing at 8 AM in the morning!! it's no wonder they have the worst reviews!! they need to do better and pick up a better texting system and get a much better call center!!! if I had a sick child and I had to go through all this with this doctors office I would rather go to the ER or urgent care!! also when you're trying to get a form filled out or any kind of information they also do not know and you get two different answers from the text and from the nurse. DO BETTER!!! what's worse you can't even call to speak to a manager because they are magically unavailable. and if you have a problem to address with them, they never address it with you or follow up! We love the doctors care there but we cannot even get in or get questions answered before we go see the doctor. That is a huge issue that has not gone away. It's getting worse.

From top to bottom - intake, nurses, doctors, etc. - the experience was amazing. I didn't catch everyone's names, but The Kenzies and Dr. Roth are two I remember. There was minimal paperwork (likely due to the transfer), everything was well-explained, including the risks and possible side effects of the medications he received, and very little waiting. Literally my only complaint is that the 7th floor vending machines don't work right and do I even CARE when my kid got such good attention? I am so grateful to everyone here that my boy is OK and I feel confident that they gave him the best possible treatment. J.Ja

I am a single mom and have been unable to catch my bill up. My daughter could have died the day before and when I went for the appointment I was actually turned away due to my non payment. I could not believe it... money before a child's well being. I left in tears and thank goodness the hospital saw her. I am now going to Coastal Pediatrics.
