After being away for nearly 17 years nothing fills the void quite like a feed of Fish and Chips (with dressing and gravy of course). The service at Leo's is what you'd expect at any down home fish and chips; friendly and quick! Everyone is "me love", "darlin", or whatever sweet pet name the waitress feeling like calling you! The food is great! Albeit greasy, but maybe you should know that before coming in to dine. It's deep fried, all of it, so it's well... going to be greasy! The chips are friend to perfection, crispy and fluffy all in one. And the fish was in a nice light batter that carried the fish just so. I prefer the dressing and gravy here over the competitor, but over all it's on par. Oh, and the paper place mat adds to the nostalgia that this place represents. I'm excited to come back soon!

It was SPECTACULAR in every way. The gravy was delicious and exactly as it should be and the chips are fresh and look hand cut. The green peas were something I would never ask for but was a very pleasant addition in my opinion. There is usually a wait since the restaurant is small but it's usually just 15-30 minutes. They offer take out as well and both times we were there it was booming. I have already told my cousin that Keith's is our first stop on my next trip home lol. The staff were so sweet as well which always heightens any dining experience.

So where else would I suggest other than Ches's. I didn't catch the name of our server, but boy was she ever friendly. A very approachable individual with an excellent attitude. Even the lady who offered us a mini cupcake was very nice; making jokes and teasing us with cheerful banter. My colleague enjoyed speaking with the ladies so much that he opted to purchase a desert. We both ordered a two (2) piece fish and chips with dressing and gravy on the side; plus a can of Pepsi and an Orange Crush to drink. We took our meal to go and it was about twenty minutes or so before we actually got to eat, but neither of us were disappointed. Although I have tried to stay away from deep fried foods recently due to high cholesterol, my meal was a pure joy to eat. It was as good as I remembered from the last time I ate at Ches's; even if I did feel a little guilty about eating greasy food late in the evening (it was a little past 9:30 pm before we got to eat. If I were to complain about anything it would be nothing about the food or the service we received. I enjoyed my meal, but I don't remember the price being as much as it is now compared to the last time I ate at Ches's. Personally I think $20.00 plus change was a little steep for what we ate.
