Seafood chowder
Lydia C.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I finally had a chance to visit the very enticing patio at Project Social Kitchen over Memorial Day weekend. It was chilly out but the patio was warmed by heat lamps and blankets were waiting for us on our seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the midnight cocktail, a beer, the seafood chowder, prosciutto toast, patatas bravas, and duck tacos. I enjoyed all of the items, if I were visiting again I would reorder the tacos and the patatas. I know tapas typically are served as they're ready, not all at once, but each of our items were pretty spaced out so we were only eating one plate a time. I wish they were served a little closer together. I would love to come by again on a summer night to try a different cocktail and some of the other menu items. As other reviews have stated, the drinks and tapas are a little pricey, even for the area, but worth the splurge for a romantic evening or special occasion.

Fantastic culinary experience. Each dish was different and unique from each other. The flavors took you on an adventure! We tried the beet salad, pork belly, beef skewers, mussels, patatas bravas, bruschetta, and tiramisu. Our server was excellent as well. I can't remember her name but she has a floral sleeve (tattoos). Super knowledgeable and warm personality.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a nice time having dinner out in their garden. Gorgeous night and beautiful ambiance with great lighting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I had the Mediterranean Mezzo for my meal and if you'd like it gluten free you can ask for extra cucumbers instead of the pita bread. The waiter was nice enough to bring me the cucumbers after he brought out the dish as there was an abundance of pitas in comparison to the rest of the items. They give you 3 dips which were all delicious. Tzatziki, olive dip and a Muhammara which is a red pepper dip. We then got the Oysters Rockafeller to split. Lots of tobiko. Heavy sausage flavor. I would probably skip those next time. I will say regarding drinks, they have a beautiful cocktail list but my stomach wasn't feeling great so instead of a normal spicy margarita or something similar, I asked for a dirty martini and it came out with a funky flavor. Most likely too much vermouth. The poor waiter took at least ten minutes before returning with a new martini without vermouth. He or the bartender clearly did not know how to make this. If I returned to the area I'd definitely return for a funky cocktail and something a little more adventurous on the menu.

Great drinks and friendly service!! Will was our bartender and served up some awesome cocktails. We didn't try any food, but can definitely recommend for some drinks.

Carne asada tacos

My family and I got dressed up to enjoy a nice meal at the Project Social Kitchen & Bar. For drinks beware of the "The Whey It Should Be" and "Sesame Street" both drinks were not good by themselves or with a lot of the food combinations. Both would be better as a sauce on a steak than a drink. Be prepared to order multiple dishes. If you are planning to get full on a budget then this isn't the place for you. For food choices, the scallops were either over cooked or under cooked. My favorite dish was the butternut squash curry soup. It was delicious with a little spice at the end. Also the beef skewer was tasty. My family also had the tacos which they said were good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our waitress was very nice and added a positive mood to the all ready beautiful atmosphere of the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Based on the food and drinks we had I don't think we would come back. This may be your cup of tea though.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Intimate, cozy little restaurant located inside an old house very well updated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had tapas for a late dinner. Started w a Tempranillo red wine, kale & Brussels salad, butternut squash soup delicious homemade taste, scallops (not pictured) & patatas brava w the typical white & orange suave tops. Service was quick & accurate, attentive. Parking is challenging but clears up on this pretty downtown location. I rate 4.5 stars

My drink was super good! Not too sweet but refreshing. We ordered 4 plates which was enough for 3 of us to feel content and each dish was great! The mezze came with lots of pita, mussel sauce was light and very tasty, ceviche was tapas size but enough to get a few bites each. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall a cool spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here to get some drinks at the bar. Great service, friendly bartender. We ordered some Chardonnay and two whiskey sour and it was really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bar looks really nice, indoors lighting was dimmed in the evening so this would be perfect for single person dining or couples.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The low lighting gives it a little touch of private dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoor decoration is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu looks amazing. I did not order food but want to try their banh mi sandwich next time!

Kale and Brussels salad

Fast, delicious food in a beautiful outdoor setting in Bar Harbor. All three of the vegetarian dishes we tried were outstanding, with deep and complex flavors that felt warming on a fall evening. The spice on the mayo in the potatoes and the curry in the butternut squash soup are examples of how common dishes are elevated. There are plenty of heaters on the patio to keep folks warm on a colder fall evening. Our server was so friendly and gave us genuine advice on things to do around Maine and checked in with us at just the right intervals. I would definitely recommend this place after a hard day of hiking in the park. The only hiccup was that it took almost 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged when we first arrived at the restaurant... though many servers walked by, not one stopped for a second to say "sorry, the host just stepped away." This bordered on rude, which is unusual given how awesome the rest of the service was. Hopefully just a bit of training if the staff will resolve this issue to make waiting feel less awkward.

Lots of outdoor seating (beyond a porch, not sure there was indoor seating). The yard was beautiful with blankets and heaters to keep you warm and comfortable. No reservations and we were seated immediately near a lovely pond. Service was attentive and the staff worked together well bringing and clearing plates quickly. For two of us, we had 5 plates, bruschetta, Caesar salad, crab cakes, potatoes, and beef skewers. They all were excellent! The potatoes were popular and I saw them being delivered to several tables. I loved the crab cakes, beef skewers, and potatoes. I probably would have skipped the Caesar salad and would have gotten the prosciutto bruschetta instead of the regular bruschetta. Everything was great tasting, but those were my favs. It was one of our most expensive meals in the area. Something to think about if that is important. We loved the variety and ability to share so many dishes.

We ordered several dishes and were thoroughly impressed. We started with the tostada, which featured wonderfully smoky brisket with a richness reminiscent of pork belly. Our summer salad with whipped feta was also delicious. The "Gambas" shrimp appetizer was probably our favorite of the night, full of layered buttery, spicy flavors reminiscent of an Indian curry. We also loved the mussels appetizer, served in a briny broth simmered with smoked pork and chorizo. The seasoning and flavor profiles of every dish were surprising and exceeded our expectations. We all agreed that Havana is a must try for all foodies!

We were sat in a romantic back space near the wine cellar wall and it was beautiful. We both enjoyed drinks as recommended by the very friendly sommelier and loved the bread and dips that started our meal. For my entree I ordered lobster moqueca which was amazing- like the best seafood stew I've ever had served with fluffy rice. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the dessert was disappointing compared to how delicious the rest of our meal was. We ordered the tart and it was pretty mid. Also- we visited for his birthday and they had a handwritten birthday card on the table which was very sweet.

He personalized our experience, helped our youngest de-shell his very first whole lobster, kept the conversation fun with his friendly banter, and made sure our drinks were never empty. His genuine hospitality made the evening even more special. The food was absolutely delicious, and as an added bonus, they have plenty of parking, a huge perk in an area where parking can be incredibly challenging. From my first time here five years ago to 2 weeks ago when I was last here, it has not changed. I came here with my family and dog, and like many places in the area, it is dog friendly when sitting outdoors. Shortly after taking our orders, the appetizers came out quick. The clam chowder, lobster stew and calamari all great choices. I also liked how there was a big portion for appetizers. For the entree, I had the lobster carbonara and the portion was so big I only ate half of it. My son had the Lobster Newberg and he said it was excellent. Overall, the Chart Room is an excellent choice for dinner. The views, food, and service are all worth it. Only comment I had is parking is limited. Besides that, this is a great choice to get food at after hiking at Arcadia. If I come back to Maine, I will absolutely come back here!

Now if you are in search of seafood and/or lobster during a visit to Bar Harbor you could throw a stone in any direction and find numerous options. Some family recommended checking out this spot. Both my wife and I started out with a blueberry margarita that was fantastic. Then for food we both decided on the lobster tacos which comes with an order of two. They did not skimp on the lobster at all and this spot created such a tasty taco I would return for them. Granted the appetizer of a lobster poutine sounded delicious too! The ambiance and overall vibes is good, outside they have many picnic tables to enjoy the sights/sounds of Bar Harbor. Inside they have a couple different areas but a welcoming atmosphere overall. Despite the heat and the fact Bar Harbor is busy during the summer, service was quick as well as friendly. Had no complaints for our visit! Great first visit here!

We did get food to go, but our hotel was just steps away. So not a long journey from the restaurant to our room. We ordered the lobster nachos. It was not edible and they were so expensive. I was looking forward to getting some lobster, but didn't want a lobster roll and thought this would do it. First of all-- everything was mush. Not even soggy, but like all mush and disintegrated. I can deal with soggy-- it's take out so I don't have high expectations for fresh food. But the chips literally dissolved. There was also no cheese? I don't understand how you can have nachos with no cheese. Also, was advertised with sour cream and there was no sour cream. Lastly, I had lobster earlier today at a different restaurant. It tasted so fresh. This lobster was different. Almost like it was bad or even like a little gamey. I didn't eat but that one piece because I'm afraid I might get food poisoning-- something was just off. I'm not very hard to please and will eat pretty much anything from anywhere. The fact that I wouldn't eat the food (especially after paying $32) says a lot. I literally told my husband I would've rather had McDonald's Giving 2 stars only bc the guy on the phone who took our order was super nice.
