Sorry to say I can't recommend this place. Normally I don't write a review at all if bad experience - but as I've been here several times now over several yrs, with several different people- I feel I need to write to recommend ... go elsewhere. The Friend I was w/this last time said usually everything is fine here for her... & others in restaurants ea time seemed to be ok w/their food & service...but they seemed to (intentionally?) ignore my party, food was not good each time I came (in fact was sick this last time... could have been the dbl order of fries (for bday) but I suspect the egg on the Cobb salad was bad? I kept a star for being local, for having a good variety on menu, & for being welcoming to all w/variety of indoor & outdoor seating. Maybe just order their ice cream? read more

Worst food experience I've had in a long time. They got two out of four orders wrong. And the food that was right was not as described in the menu. The waitress said they did a veggie burger, but then brought a salad. The corn dog (we ordered a hotdog) was cold. We asked for napkins before we ordered drinks, and we didn't get them until we'd already eaten. Our waitress rung us up at the register, so we didn't actually see a check. And after we paid, we saw on the receipt that they'd overcharged us. Absolutely awful. read more

literally slayed like they booted the house down. cinnamon rolls slayed, chili slayed, chicken strips slayed, fish slayed. The cinnamon roll was buttery and delicious, great with a side of fries . They forgot tartar sauce with the fish but made up with it with the scrumdidilyumptious batter . The restroom and dining area was very well maintained and clean literally yassss We came here with 7 people and the staff was very patient and friendly. The environment is nice and it's a great place to go if you're looking to eat in Idaho City. (also the silverware was very nicely shaped) :) read more

Went there for lunch during a ride on a busy Sat weekend. Service was a little slow, seemed like family working there, but staff was very friendly & it was a busy July 4th weekend & by time food arrived definitely worth the wait! I got the club melt with tots. Huge portions & the club was made with in house meats cooked there. Delicious! The tots were hot & fresh with a side of terrific fry sauce & ranch on request. The boys had the burgers & said best they ever had. For dessert, a yummy Huckleberry ice cream. Overall, service was slow , but forgiven. The staff was nice, attentive & the food down home cooking , delicious & huge portions. Definitely somewhere I would go again. read more

I have had the good opportunity to eat at this establishment 3 times in the past year. 2 times for breakfast and 1 time for lunch. The portions are outstanding. The omelets are huge - I only order a half and still have lots to take home. The Idaho omelet is awesome (I get it without potatoes because you have house fries or hashbrowns on the side). I also ordered a glass of orange juice - it came in a regular large drinking glass! Lunch - the BBQ pork sandwich is to die for! It is so huge and full of all the BBQ flavors you'd expect. The fries are made to order and are cooked to perfection. This place is definitely worth the drive - and what a beautiful drive it is! read more

Five of us in town for Idaho City Days. Seasons is more or less at the end of our walk through the city so we stopped in for a late lunch. Lot's of people in town and restaurant was somewhat crowded....got menus and drinks, but food was 30+ minutes out. My finger stakes were rock hard. Fries were ok. Beer was cold. My friend's burger was burnt and so was the bun. Other meals at best we're so-so. Took forever to figure out that we needed to go up to the counter tp pay. Also...no fry sauce with the finger steaks.....I was given A1 instead. read more

$5.29 for fries...a little ridiculous and nothing special just fries. The new owners have completely redone the dining area and added arcade games. And the staff well not very friendly so nothing has changed there. Go across the street to toms for food. read more

Mediocre food, poor service. Pretty sure the entire restaurant is run by teenagers with just enough training to scoop ice cream. I wouldn't waste your time with this place unless you want semi cooked food and poor service. Come hungry and leave with a belly full of disappointment and anger. read more

Steer clear of Seasons! The only reason I'm giving Seasons even one star is that our server was great. The food however was awful, just awful. On March 30th my sister and I were in Idaho City for the weekend to celebrate her birthday. Our first clue should have been that on a Saturday night at 6pm Season's parking lot was empty except for one other car. I ordered the chicken strips for dinner. When our chicken strips arrived the first thing my sister and I both said to each other was "those are burned." The chicken strips were very dark brown to completely black. I said I was going to take a bite to see how bad they tasted before returning them to the kitchen. Not only were they burnt I commented "I'm going to need a gallon of milk to wash these things down they are so dry." I asked my sister to take a bite to see if she agreed. Her reply "Nasty. Send them back" When our server returned I politely explained the situation and asked that the chicken strips be returned to the kitchen and replaced. She apologized and said she would return them to the kitchen. 2 minutes later she was back with the burned chicken strips. She informed me that the cook said the chicken strips were not burned. It was the oil causing the dark/black color. I was shocked at this reply. My first thought was (directed at the cook) "Then why don't YOU come out here and let's see you eat them." I chose not to pursue the matter (though I really wanted too) as we were on vacation and I didn't want to ruin our fun over chicken strips. I also didn't want to place the server in the middle of this situation. If it really was the oil (which I'm not buying) then the oil used at Seasons was beyond old and should have been replaced a long time ago. When the server returned at the end of our meal, my entire chicken strip dinner sat there untouched. The chicken strips were NOT removed from the bill. I didn't fight it. We just paid the bill and left vowing to NEVER return. p.s. On a funny note....when leaving we saw a sign in the window "Cook Wanted". Let's hope so. read more

This place surprised me, it was better than I ever expected. First off my burger was big and really tasty. The waffle fries were great. And to top it off the ice cream was excellent. When a relative told me this place was just as good as one of the higher rated places in that town. She certainly was right. read more

thank you for a wonderful dining experience. your new chef bob hit a home run with his marinated rib eye steaks. it was honestly one of the best steaks weve both had in years! cooked perfectly to order. my wife ordered a medium. i ordered medium i ordered medium rare. the loaded baked potatoes were awsome. the clam chowder delightful. the steamed vegetables aldente.the service was spectacular. the lady who served us was the chefs wife. a great experience! great food! all very resonably priced! iidaho. city the seasons restaurant is idaho city's best kept secret. thank you idaho city! thank you seasons! read more

Stopped in for a quick bite. The service and music was great. Best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had!!!

We had high hopes after being told by a local that they had a good grilled cheese - sadly I never got the chance to find out. We came in on a Friday afternoon at about 1pm. There were a couple other small groups inside, but nothing that suggested there would be a long wait. We ordered drinks and were served those fairly quickly. Then we waited for about 45 minutes for a grilled cheese and a Reuben sandwich. We noticed the other groups who were there ahead of us also were not being served and the kitchen seemed to be in a general chaos. The only person who was moving with a sense if urgency and who seemed to care was the nice woman working the front end, Jessie. The cook seemed to maybe be producing one item at a time, and the other people (possibly the owners) weren't doing anything to help speed things along or keep customers happy. Maybe offer to give refills at least? We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Jessie didn't charge us for the drinks and she was very apologetic, which was nice. They need to get their kitchen situation figured out and get some people in there who care a little more. read more

Good food, service not so much with the girl at the cash register with piercings. She was very snarky and acted like it was a burden we were there. She freaked out when we told her there'd be 6 of us and sighed and instead of serve us and treat us like customers, she complained about it as we were standing there and it almost seemed like she wanted us to say never mind and leave. Everyone else was helpful and nice, but she clearly doesn't want to work. The bathroom was also super disgusting. Unfortunately, one terrible employee can ruin a good place to eat. Our whole party felt the negativity from her and you could just tell that she was upset anytime people came in and made her do her job. It was really unpleasant. read more

I'm not a disgruntled employee. I'm just speaking out of honesty. I was opening 4-5 days a week and was immediately dropped to one day a week with no explanation. I have 2 kids and stressed that to them for two weeks and had to get anoyher job. I explained I'm working another job during the nights and can work in the morning like they had me originally doing. I was told "we do not hire people from the gold mine". It was a great excuse to fire me. There goes more money to support my kids. The kitchen is honestly the worst most unkept place I have seen in my time of being a server. Barely anything on the checklist gets done from other employees. The food is great, but I'm honestly in shock how nobody has had food poisoning. Most items are not labled and not dated. I had a great time there, I just have never worked for such a two faced company. The owner is great, he just is letting the wrong person hire and fire like it's going out of style. Again I am not angry, I am just upset at the lack of sanitation and communication between this business. read more

Overall this restaurant is certainly not the worst I've ever eaten at, however the service and management were poor enough to really put a damper on food that, while not particularly exciting, was actually okay. There was no manager and only three sixteen year olds and a grumpy cook who did nothing help the teens who were try to serve us. This restaurant could be better it really needs better management. You can't leave three new to the job teens to run a restaurant. read more
