This place really doesn't look like much, but the food is excellent. Probably the best Chicken Fried Steak in the world. They have a very extensive menu with everything from steamed clams (a big winner for my husband) to mouthwatering steaks. Since the COVID outbreak the salad bar has disappeared, along with my favorite: pickled beets. This is a family owned & operated restaurant that should be listed in Sunset magazine as a "best places to eat in the US" (but I'm kind of glad it isn't). read more

I would not even give this place a 1 star. Service was horrible. We came in as a party of 9 there was only two other people in the restaurant. The food took an hour to get to the table. They never came to refill drinks. One persons chicken was frozen and when it was returned it looked like they just microwaved it. One of us never got our meal. Great "home-cooked" feel! Vast selection of food at great prices. Can accommodate huge parties of people. Food tastes great, service is personable and people are friendly. From what I know most foods are made from scratch. Bacon waffle is to die for on the weekends. Nachos were the best appetizer I have had in a while. I like the salad bar and the chicken fried steak is a definite favorite for dinner. Sitting at the bar and starring out of the window with a tall glass of Angry Orchard is definitely worth the view. Basque dinners are amazing here! The owners are easy to communicate with and there are a lot of regular customers (I guess they don't "yelp") I believe the "back" of the restaurant can be rented for small events. The restaurant is active within the community and they host a lot of events. We wanted to take a scenic drive from the Boise area, and headed out past Emmett, and found this place. It was a great place to stop and grab a bite. Service was wonderful, very friendly. Prompt, and attentive. Welcoming smiles made us feel right at home. We loved the rodeo, cowboy, and other fun decorations. Food was very good, and such a diverse menu! Very well priced too! The salad bar wasn't fancy, but everything fresh, and really good. My husband really enjoyed his soup. I had homemade fingersteaks, with a side of rustic delicious mashed red potatoes. My only suggestion to management would be to pay more attention to cleanliness. The tops of booths' backs were covered with dust, and cob webs hanging from the ceiling. Made me wonder what the kitchen looked like. We weren't deterred though, and will definitely be going back. read more

We had the prime rib and salmon, and clam chowder with mushrooms and fried zucchini for an appetizer. The prime rib was "okay" and the serving of salmon was quite small. The chowder was really good! The mushrooms were great and the fried zucchini was also good. We ordered the huckleberry cheesecake to go and it was awesome!! Gone from good to terrible. We arrived at 5pm as everyone was leaving on a saturday. The salad bar was out of cheese. Our drinks were all empty and not much food for the price. No BBQ sauce because no one was in the resturant but the quiet starving people. After we arrived, all the tables filled up, we felt sorry we them because it took one hour for 8 of 9 of us to get food. The 9th left hungry after driving all day. Management must have changed we will never go back due to the short staffed, bad service, and lack of quality food. read more

This is our second time here, the wife and I drive out for a date. We had the prime rib, and ribeye, both were real good. The garlic fries had fresh pressed garlic and the shrimp platter was awesome selection of four different type of cooked shrimp. Friendly service and a fresh salad bar. Then.... The cheesecake and blush something was amazing, almost need to take a nap before leaving there was so much food. Found this restaurant owner at a local high school football game in Emmett. They were making Paella which was pretty good. For my 50th birthday went with wife and a friend to give the real place a try. It was a Sunday and only one other table. Service was great and prices were reasonalble. Food had a few quirks, ordered last cup of pumpkin/curry soup and it came out as a paste. The steamed veg was fresh but the carrots still really hard. Steak was good but way to much salt in the seasoning. Pies were great. Will give this another chance, hoping better next time. read more

Went to the Triangle Inn in Sweet for the first time today and will not be back. We were not acknowledged when we walked in. It seemed that updating the specials or desserts signs was more important than greeting and welcoming the customers. It was not clear whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We did follow suit of the people who came in ahead if us and sat at a booth. We watched other tables get waited on. The customer service was poor. When tables for a large party were ready, the man (presumably the owner) who finished just waved his arms at the group waiting. He didn't even speak to them. We waited for at least ten minutes, all the while watching other customers who had come in after us get waited on, before we finally left. And they weren't that busy. read more

Triangle is a great way to sample true Idaho country culture. People are friendly, the food is good. A lot of it is home made, such as the salad dressing. There is a hitching post out front. And a lot of the time, local cowboys inside. The owners are Basque, so there is a lot of Basque food on the menu, however their burgers are awesome, and if you want steak, this is the place. I am pretty sure the meat is from a local ranch. If you like paella, look on their website for when they serve it. Sunday night is a huge basque dinner night. Went there 6-8-14 as I heard they served a good breakfast. Won't be back. It wasn't very busy but the lone waitress thought it was very busy. Had to ask three times to get her to wipe the spilled jelly and butter off our table and waitress got a bit snappy. Very slow getting the food out of the kitchen. Breakfast Burrito had way too many onions in it. My omelet was pretty good but hash browns were blackened and toast was dry or stale. Not impressed with the food, service, or decor. read more
