We decided to work together to try to improve my mother's prognosis at her late stage of Alzheimer's. I had arrived from my home abroad, to be with my mother during her last weeks in Hospice care in an assisted living facility. I had pretty much bought into the idea that there was nothing anyone could do to change the inevitable. I just wanted my mom to be at peace and was going to do everything I could to enable this. Lisa had a pragmatic approach and really wanted to help. Her belief that there is hope and that there are things to do to improve my mom's condition gave me the desire to try. I have witnessed a dramatic and positive response to these treatments and my mother is now graduating from Hospice care! She is much more present, alert and participative.
