Best on line ticket service. Colin is so easy to deal with. I live in Florida and buy all my tickets from him. I've never been disappointed!

Somehow, I learned about a children's production presented through their educational wing. I'm not sure if their education & engagement was this strong in years past or perhaps I simply wasn't dialed into their offerings, but that's definitely changing now. We went to see Splish Splash. This was a 50 minute long story about a blue heron and friends who are seeking to repair the moon after it fell into Lake Michigan. There were songs, there was play, and it was highly interactive. The kids--fellow "sailors", along with three of the cast members--learned a song to sing along at various parts of the show. There were several times when the kids were invited onto the "stage" (it was in one of their lab/classroom spaces, so there wasn't a raised stage) to help or participate. It was so well done, and kept the kids engaged. I really loved how this experience was designed. Upon arrival we were checked in and pointed to one of the classroom spaces. I was surprised because I wasn't sure how actors could be safe there, but it was actually a room for the kids to color and read books or play with toys and stuff before we were taken into the room where the performance took place. I've only seen something that was meant to keep kids busy like that before showtime is at Filament Theatre, and we've gone to kids shows at two or three other theaters by now. It was a great touch. This production was specifically geared toward children aged 0-5, which is atypical and felt so special that it was written with the littlest theatergoers. One of the important pre-show reminders was for adults, reminding us that it's a no-shush zone! I'm so excited that one of the most important theaters in the city, and the oldest non-profit theater still in operation in Chicago, is so committed to developing young audiences in an exciting way and meeting them where they're at. We'll be regulars at their Theatre for the Very Young programs.

I like its ornate décor, the stadium style seats set-up which offers good stage view, the acoustics, and the overall aesthetics of this venue which makes it an ideal place to watch live events. On my recent (late June 2026) visit to see The Human League, Soft Cell, and Alison Moyet for the Generations tour, overall, I had a good experience. There were couple of issues that we had such as lack of cool air circulation inside the auditorium (it was hot and sweaty) and a couple of people standing throughout the show to dance, blatantly blocking other peoples' view and not caring about being inconsiderate and uncourteous to people behind them to which the theatre ushers had no problem with it. Otherwise, I have not had issues at this venue. So, 4.5 stars but rounded up to five. I look forward to going back here.

Even ChatGPT knew--Gold Coast is the ticket broker supreme!…read more I had 4 VIP Lollapalooza wristbands to sell last-minute from California when my plans to attend fell through. With just one day left before the event, I was desperate and had no idea where to turn. Out of sheer panic, I asked ChatGPT (no eye rolls please, lol) what to do--and when I inquired about a concierge-level, white glove ticket broker, it recommended Dan Finkel at Gold Coast Tickets. Let me just say: ChatGPT nailed it. Dan took really good care of me on price and walked me through the process step-by-step. It was seamless, and the money was in my account the moment he received the wristbands. But what happened next absolutely stunned me: Two of the four wristbands weren't working properly. I happened to be on the phone with Dan when the issue arose--and I overheard him calmly reassuring the new buyers that if anything didn't work, he'd send a courier immediately with replacements. And then... I heard him do exactly that--dispatching two new wristbands to the buyers on the spot. Even though the issue was on my end, Dan handled everything with grace, speed, and total professionalism. He protected the buyers, took responsibility, and made sure everyone was taken care of. This is exactly the kind of Midas-touch, high-integrity, concierge-level service I had asked ChatGPT about--and I got to watch it unfold in real time. If you're looking for someone who handles both buyer and seller with care, fairness, and human kindness, Dan Finkel is your guy. Whether you're in Chicago or anywhere else--go to Gold Coast Tickets. I'm still stunned. And yes... apparently ChatGPT really does know everything. And no--ChatGPT didn't write this review. I did. ;)

I was charged a $40 shipping fee for them to be shipped when on the website they were listed as E tickets to be emailed. They said they would call me at the end of the business day and guess what? no call back ever. I finally had enough as the concert was approaching soon and I needed to tickets and they decided to just up and cancel my order because I "complained" as any concerned customer would do after 3 months of waiting and the concert nearing would do. Now I'm fighting to have my credit card refunded. (3 weeks later) still nothing on my card. I would stay away from this company. bad customer communication and business practice.

When I contacted the company, all they wanted to do was sell me 2 additional tickets. I was told the tickets were like cash and therefore could not be replaced or reprinted...they were not concerned nor did they try and help me out in any other way including filing a claim with FedEx (claims have to be filed by the sender). I found a way to file my own claim with FedEx because I believed they were the liable party for my lost tickets - until I found out my claim was denied because Classic Tickets waived a required signature!!! If you're sending tickets worth several hundreds of dollars that are like cash and cannot be replaced, why would you not cover your bases and require a signature upon receipt???? It can't be due to cost because the customer pays top dollar in processing and shipping fees. This company only looks out for themselves and how much money they can squeeze from a person.

I immediately received a confirmation email of the purchase to wait for an email with details for the electronic transfer of the tickets. Mind you the show is 4 days away so after 19 hours of no further word from the seller, I worried and found all these frightening reviews so I called my bank to see about disputing the charge which included the insurance in case I needed a refund. By the way when I reached out to the insurance company using the link they sent me, it said they could not locate a policy number with my name and number. So don't bother with the insurance in my opinion- just a way to give them an extra $25. The bank suggested I try to reach out before I perused the disputed so I emailed them using the same email I got with the confirmation number. I was polite, brief and asked for an update. I received a very professional and friendly email reply within 20 minutes suggesting I wait and explaining the process a little better about waiting for the seller to contact me via email. Then not 30 minutes later I received an email with the ticket transfer from Ticketmaster and after I signed into Ticketmaster I was able to transfer the tickets easily and quickly. Looking on their website, there are other torture museum outposts in Florida, California, Branson (MO), and Berlin, Germany in addition to Chicago. The Chicago location is on the compact side, but packs over 100 medieval artifacts into dimly-lighted, macabre space occupying two levels. My timing for visiting was right around Halloween. I purchased tickets online (can get a very slight discount buying online) for a friend's belated birthday. He had always wanted to see this space, and we had scheduled an outing here, followed by happy hour libations. My interactions with the front-desk/check-in personnel (a younger gentleman and a woman getting off of her shift) were pleasant and professional. The young man mentioned that he was studying art. I'm sure this museum gave him plenty of inspiration. To the side of the check-in/welcome area there is a souvenir shop. I didn't really see anything that grabbed me, but there were a couple of promotions taking place and the displays/signage were memorable and lighthearted, considering the grim subject matter. Before making our way to the exhibit, we cued up the audio guide on our phones. The guide is easily accessible through Apple and Android, although I wish I had brought headphones, as I quailed at blasting the sound through speakers with other patrons around. Fortunately, this is more of a selfie and photography-geared space, so there were no dirty looks as I would have expected in a traditional museum or gallery. This museum has something for everyone, whether one is an avid reader of all of the informational material around the exhibits (raises hand) or prefers a more interactive, hands-on experience and photo-ops to capture the thrills and chills. Among the most arresting items are a torture rack from 15th-century Spain and a life-size replica of Joan of Arc being burned at the stake. Over the sound system, occasionally dramatized screams and creaking chains play to heighten the creepy ambiance. All told, it took around an hour to peruse the space, sharing impressions and taking photos.
