They sent me a brief questionnaire via email to narrow down the specifics of my cleaning, as well as the key features of my home. I was worried they'd do a "one-size fits all" approach and leave stuff behind, but nope! Zoya arrived on time and got to work immediately in my bathroom. Every part of my bathroom was cleaned, including my toiletries within the shower, as well as my stuff on the bathroom shelf. Cleaned and organized! She dusted my ceiling fan like I noted in the questionnaire, vacuumed and dusted the entire living room, and even cleaned out the mildewy window sill I'd been putting off forever. She easily could've skipped over that, but didn't. My kitchen was also left spotless. She vacuumed the kitchen carpet, wiped down all counters, and even arranged the spices I keep on top of the oven. I'd never even thought to do that myself and it made my kitchen look so much better. She even rearranged my fridge magnets after she cleaned off the outside of the fridge. I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the work she'd done. I wanted to know how worried to be, how I might go about fixing things, how urgent those fixes were, and what permits and rules I needed to be considering. Marc gave me that advice and more. In an hour long appointment I learned about what it means to build on fill on a slope, he evaluated the stability of the house, yard, and front and back retaining walls separately, and gave me best and worst case scenarios for various fixes. He also talked me through both professional and DIY options and the pros and cons of each. He was very knowledgeable about permitting and also gave excellent advice on a sliding deck and what to fix soon because it was pulling on the house siding vs what I could just avoid safely. I felt no pressure to buy or spend money or contract his firm at all, though I did end up asking for recommendations because I was so impressed by his expertise. As someone who likes to do their own research and understand exactly what I'm getting into this approach was perfect for me and he was happy to explain and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel like they were silly or basic. He then gave me some unsolicited additional advice on drainage and a few small house projects I should do sooner rather than later to save myself problems long-term, which was worth the cost of the consult all on it's own. Very very highly recommended. I might book him again just to get his very sensible thoughts on future yard and landscaping projects. I was originally looking for a used bike but they only had two in my size that were both road bikes. I tried them both but ended up going with a new gravel bike that was a bit more all-purpose! They have a lot across the street where you can try out the bikes for as long as you need. I ended up testing out four diff bikes, and they were super nice about all of it even though it took me forever. They didn't have the color I wanted, but they let me know how to order it online and have it shipped there so they could build the bike for me. They said doing it this way is the same as buying directly from the store! I still get all the benefits like 30 days of free accessories installation and such. My partner also got a used bike that was in great condition!
