Anyways, i'm tanning like normal, and i feel like the bed ends early, but i didn't time anything so i just leave like usual. The next time i go in to tan i went to the Downtown location, and as im paying for my tan she lets me know that i actually get the price half-off for this tan because i only did half a tan last time, confirming that she didn't give me my full time. lazy service tbh. which dissapointed me as i met a manager a day earlier at the Factoria location and she was amazing + super helpful:( read more

Be very careful with the employees at this location. The girl that took my debit card yesterday for payment used my debit card to make several unauthorized purchases at the store so that she can claim commission on things I didn't actually purchase and she lied right to my face about what she was doing with my card info. She signed me up for a package I didn't purchase as well. I called the store immediately when I saw the fraudulent purchases on my card and all they said was to email corporate. I am so happy I came here (factorial location) and met Hailey W. I didn't know anything about tanning and she really broke down the information into understandable pieces while NOT making me feel dumb. She answered all my questions made solid recommendations and LISTENED to my needs, wants and fears from the beginning. The website had better coupons than yelp (sorry guys) and Hailey found the deal that was right for ME and my usage. I was so impressed with her level of customer service as I had not had that experience in other salons. But everyone has been so friendly and the employees I have met have being efficient, happy and engaged. The salon itself was clean well ventilated and had ample supplies. The equipment seemed well cared for and maintained. They sell a lot of products but the staff wasn't pushy which actually made it fun to find what I needed. The prices were comparable to Amazon so SHOP with them and keep the salon healthy. Oh and online booking at all the locations was a breeze! Ok the bad. There has to be something right? I really hate the doorbell. I'm sure there isn't much they could do and I'm sure it doesn't bother a lot of people but I'll bring headphones for my next pod experience. Online booking doesn't let you adjust or cancel your appointment if you screw up. I had to call and apologize for booking at a salon across town. And Yelp directions took me to some random parking lot across the street. I got a text about a rewards program that I know nothing about or I wasn't listening when Hailey told my husband (probably more likely) but I'm sure she will clue me in. read more

The tanning salon is clean and spacious, and I had quick and easy friendly service at the front desk. Monthly membership is not required, option to buy packages is very convenient. It does cost twice the cost of you had membership though. Works for people who doesn't need tan all year around. Loved the products that was recommended free of dye and perfumes, all natural. I am very new to sun tanning and I did not have any idea what a tanning bed would be like so I was a little bit concerned. Thankfully, Emily helped me and walked me through the steps of what to do in the tanning booth, which made me feel a lot better about using a tanning bed. The UV rays felt very nice on my skin and I pictured I was in Hawaii while I was in the tanning bed. It was so serene and peaceful! The workers there including Emily, are also very knowledgeable in their products and levels of tanning for which I know nothing about. SST is the best tanning salon around, and this is my favorite location. Clean salon, open late, fast service. All my tanning needs are met here. I do levels 5, 4, and occasionally 3. Seattle Sun Tan members get great perks and frequent coupons, and I always take advantage of the free tan days. I'm so glad I found a place where I don't have to sign up for auto-monthly and instead can put money down on tans I can use when I want that never expire. This place is fine and gets the job done. The girls that work there are all super nice and seem to be knowledgeable about what they're selling and which bed or spray level/color is best for you. Two stars removed for arriving at 9:20pm for a spray tan. I walked in and saw two people sitting. I was told there's a wait, but I just assumed two people. Boy was I wrong! They failed to mention there were SIX people in front of me. 50 minutes later It was finally my turn. If they'd told me SIX people were ahead of me like they probably should have, I wouldn't have wasted one hour of my night. Haven't been tanning in a while, but I knew what I wanted when I walked in there. I told her I didn't want to tan long term, just a few visits. She initially sold me a package but it wasn't what I wanted. She probably had an idea that I was leaving so she sold me another package with a promo. Everything was good. To make a long story short, corporate changed things on my account without my knowledge. Nobody ever let me know anything, and they basically said "sorry it's our fault, but we're not going to honor what we told you." You guys could've done the right thing and just honor what I signed up for. I would've stayed and spent more money. Now you have a customer that won't ever spend a dime there anymore and one that's willing to tell people her experience. That's what happens when you cheat people Update: no thank you. I reached out to you guys and nothing was resolved. You basically said your worker made an error but it's my fault. Don't lie or cheat people. There are consequences. read more

I had a great experience at Seattle Sun Tan--specifically the Factoria location. I'm new to the tanning membership world and the associate who helped me was SO patient and explained their various membership options to me (several times because I was struggling that day). It's also really helpful to have someone who isn't naturally tan give you recommendations. I'm super super pale so I appreciated the fact that she gave me honest feedback about which beds to use and for how long. I also got a spray tan on my first visit and it lasted awhile! I am an avid tanner and have been to both Desert Sun and Seattle Sun tan. I have to say I am, by far, in favor of Seattle. Abbie, who I believe is the manager and employee Kieran did such an excellent job walking me through the steps of what I needed to know for my first time at there salon! BEWARE of their membership deal because in order to cancel that you have to make an appearance in the store AND make it in about 2 weeks before it charges your card again so that "corporate has time to process it". At this point I wasn't really upset with their bushiness, they seemed like a company that would make you do a run-around like that so I came in, signed the cancellation paper AND even paid for an additional month that I wash't going to use. Fast forward 5 months. I notice the membership wasn't cancelled so I called them and after about a week of back and forth, I got corporates phone number. Come to find out "Corporate" is just ONE girl name Jesse. So your big bad corporate needs 2 weeks to cancel my membership, I would still love an explanation as to why it takes someone 2 weeks to cancel a credit card payment? But moving on. Because I didn't have a copy of my cancellation paperwork (from 5 months ago) they weren't going to refund my money. She was even the one that noted that I hand't used any of their salons for about 5-6 months and had a credit. So then why is it so difficult to refund somebody their money for services they clearly didn't use? I get your in the business of making money but you should also CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS because this is one that will NEVER be back to Seattle Sun Tan. Sure, if I had a membership knowingly, I would use it but your staff seems incompetent enough to process paperwork and I feel like i'm not the only person you guys have scammed into paying not just 1 additional month but MULTIPLE. I know I am partly to blame because I didn't double check their work and check my account at the end of the month but I have multiple EFT accounts and its very easy to miss a $25 charge. It was always the same two girls who were very friendly and professional, but now, I'm not sure if they had a change of staff or what, but I have gone multiple times to tan this week and they weren't open despite the fact that it was during their "open" hours. This was the first tanning place I had ever been in and an extremely friendly, small, orange, blonde girl gave me a tour and explained the packages and different beds to me. Starting a membership, adding money to the account, and buying lotion and eyewear were all really expensive but she was so... convincing. I came to this location only my first couple months and only used the level 5 bed (which they only had one of.) At first there was never a wait, but soon there was always a wait of a couple people, so I decided to try the DT Bellevue location. Having not been to another location, I thought the Factoria store was good. But now I see that the rooms are ridiculously small, the doors are weird, the wait is lame, and the selection of beds isn't very good. The girls working there seemed to get less friendly as well. I'll still stop by here if it's most convenient and looks empty, but it's not my go-to SST location. read more

I've been going to tanning salons since I was 22 years old--at which time I worked at one myself (QuikTan at Northgate). I am now 63 yo, and needless to say, I've been to LOT OF TANNING SALONS!!! But my last experience at the Factoria Seattle Sun Tan was by far THE BEST!!! And I owe it all to HANNAH, who told me about a new machine that they ONLY HAVE AT FACTORIA...in Room 6--the best kept secret in the tanning world! It combines a level 3 with a level 5, for an overall FAST.DARK.TAN. I had not been exposed to sun in a few weeks (since our last Seattle sunshine was out) and it brought me back to life. (lol) I had to wait just a bit to use it, so Hannah and I hung out had a great chat. Hannah is so full of beautiful spirit and energy--I would go back just to have another conversation with her! I started to come here over the summer when there was a livingsocial or groupon special that was $10 unlimited tanning on level 1 and 2 for a month. I decided to go for it since I have been wanting to start tanning again. When I came here w/ a friend the girls that work here are very friendly and helpful. Especially, the girl Jael, she helped me a lot w/the questions I had about their Versa Spa Spray Tan. I got pretty dark after using the level 5 bed a couple of times. Lately, I have not been able to go tanning as much as I use to but I defiantly still have the color. read more

DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM ANY OF THEIR STORES. A lady recommended me buy a $100 tanner there during their 49% off sale. While the sale sounds amazing and because of it, I decided to "treat myself" to such a high end product, they also price their products double what they're worth so might as well ignore the sale completely. I'm pretty sure other establishments have gotten in major trouble for marking up the price so greatly and making the sale price as regular market price. Just something to keep in mind. The workers are usually very kind but this is NOT okay. Not to mention they don't accept returns, only exchanges. read more

I opened my account in Redmond but this location is closest to my home. This location has the nicest girls, and quite possibly the cleanest location. There is never a wait for anything and the girls are very understanding of your needs . Althought I did have to cancel my account i will continue to purchase packages for the awesome effectiveness of the level 3 and 4 beds both for the vitamin d and color they produce. "Vanity, definitely my favorite sin..."- John Milton (aka satan) prolly i would say 3.5 stars. i had never tried it before. i did the clear tan. the one that goes on clear and darkens over time. shade #1 at first just to try it out. then a week later i did #3 (the strongest one). and both times i turned out just fine. no orange either time for me. unlike most girls, i did keep a layer of undies on me to see the different shading and it was definitely more noticeable with #3. #3 was definitely stronger and better for being in the sun soon, and trying to not glow of white (or yellow in my case) so much out there in oahu. i would get it prolly 1 or 2 days before a trip so as not to lose so much color. on a related note, my friend did the bronzing tan. it starts dark and stays dark. but she did think she looked orange during the waiting period. but after the 1st shower she said it turned out much better. i don't think there was an orange issue after that cuz she never mentioned/complained about it again. read more

For one this place has never cleaned the standup tanning bed where everyone's feet touch the same plank, it is completely gross. Yesterday I tried the new red light therapy and much to my surprise I think I liked it and it appeared that the inflammation went down in my face. So today when I visited the salon I asked if I could try the red light therapy one more time and make my final decision on whether I wanted to sign up for it or not. I was requesting a free session. After all I want to make an informed decision and I have spent thousands of dollars at this place in the past couple years. The managerThat I have never seen before turned to me and said no and then she offered to sell me a small package for 2995. I was in complete disbelief, she didn't even look at my account to see how much money I actually spend there and how long I've been a member and instead just attempted to sell me a package. This place will not be getting another dime from me. If she would have been a good manager she would have honored my request and then after the session I'm sure I would have purchased a package. read more
