I was completely new to Tarot when I went to Seven Star's Saturday workshop last fall. I didn't even have a deck. But I found it fascinating and was immediately hooked. Since then, I have taken her level I course TWICE, level 2 course, and am getting ready to start the level 3. I have also gone to almost all of her one day workshops, which she has fairly frequently. Seven Star has her own very clear approach to the Tarot. She is very articulate, interesting, and explains the spiritual in a no-nonsense style, which works for me very well. She has her own views, but encourages discussions and is very open and accepting of all of her students and their ideas and viewpoints. I have gone to some other tarot classes since, but they do not compare to Seven Star's at all. While others seemed to be more focused on memorizing the meaning of specific cards and their symbols, etc., Seven Star goes way way deeper. She encourages us to trust our own intuition, and shows us how the Tarot can help us to really look at and learn about ourselves and grow into the authentic selves we wish to be. Every time I go to her class, I come away with many new insights and feeling really good about myself :) And of course, she teaches us how we can do this for others through the Tarot. Seven Star is deeply knowledgeable in the field of Tarot as well as other related topics such as astrology,, and she totally loves what she does. She is also a very patient and level-headed teacher. I am new to Tarot, and have always wanted to learn how to do my own readings, yet thought it would take allot to learn. In my first class, i was surprised to find myself reading with confidence! I did not need to know the "meanings" of all the cards to get started. with Seven Stars coaching, i realized i could trust my own intuition, and I started to see how the cards spoke for themselves, and told their own story, And how that related to my life in a real way. The classes are designed so that beginners and experienced readers can both expand their skill to the next level. I really got, that where ever I'm at is perfect, and there is no where to get to. Taking the introductory tarot class with Seven Star has brought me a level of peace I don't think I could have imagined possible prior. She has a wisdom that goes beyond card meanings, beyond fortune-telling and band-aid "solutions." She is offering real, meaningful insight into truth, which involves no mystical spirits shuffling the cards and whispering cryptic riddles, but as she says, the understanding that "the truth is, you are free." Driving away from class one night, her words somehow "clicked" for me, and I saw myself in a way I never had. In the course of a second I went from a constant state of desperate sadness to a place of peace, understanding my experience in a wholly new way. Though I haven't yet had the opportunity to have a private reading with her, I think anyone could benefit from her perspective. If you are attracted to the tarot form, the poetry of archetype and image, and looking for deep-reaching insight (which isn't always easy), I believe you can get as much from Seattle Tarot School as you are willing to put in. I've had my tarot cards read before and rather than relying on others to provide insight into my life, I wanted to begin the inner journey of connecting to my intuition with tarot cards. I googled tarot classes in Seattle and Seven Star Tarot School came up. I immediately registered for the class and I am so glad I did; it was the perfect fit! I signed up for the first level class looking to learn detailed but rote information of the meanings of the cards and some basic spread patterns. I got so much more. Seven Star has a very interesting approach to Tarot that is as much about how we create our own worlds as it is about how the cards reveal that to us. It has been fascinating and has done so much to inform my own perspective on how our experiences unfold around us. She uses wonderful personal examples that are very helpful for illustrating her approach. She was patient with students getting oriented to a different philosophy, but I never felt bogged down or held back by anyone who was struggling with it. Toward the end of the course, I met with her privately for a reading and got to see how this dynamic works in my own life. I've learned at least as much about myself as I have about the cards. SevenStar Tarot class level one i took last year was great! It was intended for Deaf and hard of hearing in ASL. I am so glad she offered us this class since it isn't easy to find these here in Seattle. She is unique with her great experiences in counseling and tarot combination as she has a good background in therapy with people and using tarot cards for years which is neat to learn from her. I enjoyed learning from her in ways to understand ourselves and we helped each other by knowing we are all mirrors of each other. I am looking forward to learn how to play tarot cards in level two. This is a must class for those who want to learn how to use tarot card. I wasn't planning to learn tarot card use for business but it is more for my personal gain in awareness and developing intuition. I am so glad I took her classes! I began my experiences with Seattle Tarot School by attending the twice-monthly Practice meet-ups. These were a great first experience to joining a community of learning Tarot readers and to gain insight from someone who does this as their profession. Seven Star is a great instructor. She uses her personal experiences with Tarot and the real world and provides insight in how to own Tarot as your own tool to help yourself and others. Her level 1 course is great for absolute beginners and people who have a history with Tarot (I'm self-taught since 2008). And a great plus about the school is that you network with OTHER Tarot students who come from a variety of backgrounds and approaches to Tarot. I had an initial reading with Seven Star that ended up being way more insightful than i had ever expected. Direct. Precise. Smart. Focused. She doesn't give you answers or tell you what's going to happen next; she looks at the cards, interprets their meaning, and asks the right questions. A serious skill. Immensely helpful. Seven Star is an awesome and patient teacher. I have learned so much from the classes in the basics of Tarot, its history and how to read Tarot.
