Worst moving experience I've ever had. I wrote them about my experience. Zero response. I do not recommend them.
My email to them...
I used your services last month, and I wanted to let you know that my move with your company was an absolute nightmare. I'm just now reaching out because the move has been so upsetting that it's been so difficult to process.
Philip was the lead in our move, and he was plain awful. He's arrogant and has a listening problem, which is a horrible combination. He wasted so much time thinking that he knew best based on his experience. He was argumentative when it came to me giving him input on certain pieces of furniture and how it should be moved out. He blew me off a few times as well as my son when we mentioned the best ways to move furniture through doorways.
While they were packing up the first day, I told Phillip that I was afraid that my stuff wouldn't fit in the trailer. I mentioned it to him as well as TJ and Logan. Phillip kept reassuring me that it would all fit and that he knew what he was doing. Guess what? I needed another full sized trailer! But I took his advice and waited until he came back the second time, and that lost me so much time with my move.
Logan was very rough with my belongings. He was slamming boxes onto his cart that said fragile on the side. My son (18) pointed out that the boxes were fragile, and Logan shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal.
The time blocked for our move wasn't near enough, and my children and I all pitched in. My furniture was damaged. Phillip literally stood on a kitchen island that my late husband had made me and warped the top. My son mentioned to him that he shouldn't step on it, and Phillip wouldn't listen. I eventually had to tell him that he was warping the top before he'd even get down. And what's more upsetting is that it's a food surface. He had his dirty shoes on the surface of my kitchen island. Why wouldn't he at the very least stand on one of the many moving blankets that I supplied? My anxiety was through the roof!
Also, the movers came unprepared. I had to loan them my ladder. It's a good thing I had one because they weren't prepared to stack things very high. Also, the movers asked me for drinks. Why? Why is bringing food and beverages not a thought? I don't know of a single job out there where workers are given free food and drinks. I did supply some food and drinks for them. But why is it my job to make sure they have these needs met?
I ended up having to rehire the movers to come back on Saturday, and Phillip show up with his son. Phillip asked me if my son had the chance to take his bunk bed apart. Well, no, he sure didn't because Phillip said that he was be showing up with power tools that day to make the process quicker. Well, he didn't bring tools, so he and he son took their sweet time taking it apart. They both smelled absolutely disgusting. Deodorant is a magical tool that they should consider, and given the level on stench a bath every day would be extremely beneficial. It took them 5 hours to load about 8 feet of trailer that day. They disappeared several times and moved slower than pond water. Phillip's son, Maverick, seemed to think moving was fun and games and little work. He was quick to tell corny jokes but not quick with moving anything. He also made it a point to make sure that I knew his father was the lead for the company. ??? Phillip had told me that he only needed a couple hours that day, but that time sure got stretched out. I paid over $500 for very poor performance that day. What's worse is that Phillip wouldn't hurry up and leave when he was done. The smell was bad enough, but dealing with his obnoxious behavior longer was the worst. I had to tell him it was time to go.
I ended up having to hire another moving company to finish the job because I couldn't deal with Phillip anymore. You need to realize that he's not helping your company at all.
Once we got the trailer to my storage unit, I got to see just how poorly the packing job was. Fragile boxes were smashed and even packed in sideways. A shelving unit had boxes shoved so tightly into it that it took tons of efforts to get the boxes out. Shelves were busted. A leg on a shelving unit that I specifically told Phillip to turn to get through the doorway was ripped off because Phillip thought he knew better and blew me off. My island is bent on the top. (I'm especially upset about that because my late husband built it for me and Phillip KNEW how special it was to me because I told him.)
Several other things happened with my move, but that's the gist of it. I'm very upset. I'm angry even. I feel like Philip took advantage of me as a woman. He mansplained everything and wouldn't listen to my concerns. Phillip and Logan disrespected my family by treating our belongings that we worked so hard getting like they didn't matter. I'm not happy at all. read more
