I had no expectations and wanted to tell me story and see what can be done. After telling him my situation, he was very honest and open and said since my charge off is so recent that there was nothing he can do to help. He even gave me some tips and how to deal with the creditor. I give props for honest and helpful people. I've used their service twice in the last 5 years to improve my credit from horrific to a current 750. They were honest from day one and delivered what they promised. It does however take a little effort on your part to stay on top of your reports as you get them and send them back. Anybody on here who gave them a bad review, clearly was not fulfilling their end of the deal and expected their credit to magically just go up without lifting a finger. I was referred to second chance financial a few years back. I hired them to help clean up my credit. They tell you exactly what they guarantee to get off. You only pay them for what they guarantee but they work on everything. They got things off my credit that they didn't guarantee & stuff they did guarantee. I've been working with Wayne & he is great! dont use these people!! if i could give no stars i would. i signed up and they took my first momth plus down payment. then a few weeks later i thought what am i thinking i should cancel. i called and they refused to cancel my "contract". they send me a bill everymomth which isnt even accyrate. they missed a month on it so they told me on the phone iowe even more. they told me in order to cancel i have to pay half of ount owed which seven months later is of course more than what it was 4 months ago when i tried to cancel it. she kept running in circles aboit how u have to cancel 3-5 days after deposit. yet i can cancel now if i pay half!! these people are con artists! dont use them read more

LOVE this company!! Not sure what happened to the folks here that rated them a 1 star... I wholeheartedly disagree. My credit was LOUSY because of stupid mistakes I made a while back and I hadn't received any kind of credit card offers or loan offers (or anything of the sort) for YEARS and I was getting turned down for purchases I wanted to make (e.g. car purchase) as a result of these mistakes. Since I turned to SCF about a year ago, I'm getting those credit offers again, I've been able to re-fi my house at a decent rate, and I have become a responsible person that has been given the privilege of using credit again... not only that, it didn't take them long at all to fix what took me years to destroy AND it didn't cost me an arm and a leg either! I am a current client of Second Chance and although I am still working to clear up my credit report entirely, I thought it would be a good time to review my experience so far...As are most people, I was concerned with all the negative reviews and experiences that are often associated with companies like Second Chance Financial, however, my personal experience could not have been better! Since signing up in March of this year, Wayne has worked with me from the beginning. I have been able to pick up the phone and call him directly every time I had a question. If he was not available, I ALWAYS got a return call immediately and if not from him, then from one of his capable office assistants. We were referred to SCF by our accounting firm. Wayne has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion. This service is legit, NOT OVERNIGHT (so keep that in mind with expectations going in) and absolutely worth it. My husband and I were victims of identity theft by a family member. It was impossible for us to remove some of the negative items on our own. Wayne has been diligent and most importantly honest from day one and he continues to work on our case. Like a couple of people said, it takes months if not years to do this legitimately and permanently, so don't expect a miracle overnight. What I can tell you is that without Wayne's help there is simply no way that we would have both received prime lease rates on both of our cars or been approved for the credit cards we were approved for after our disastrous experience with identity theft. I referred my mom to him(same problem) and Wayne is now working on her case, ad well. My husband' score is back up in the mid 700's. by the time we're done he should be back above 800. If you are willing to do the work to get them the original information they need, they'll stick with you until your credit is clear! About 3 years ago I discovered that my credit report had erroneously recorded real estate and vehicle loan inquiries against my credit. In addition, I had a 30 day report from a vehicle loan that I was hoping could be removed. We also had a nagging ongoing report that kept renewing itself as well (about 12 years old and from a previous marriage spouse). The team at Second Change Fiancial never stopped trying to get the items cleared. That last item took two years of attempts and it was eventually removed. We never paid for an item until it was removed from all three credit bureaus, just as they promised. If you help them by forwarding updated reports (that they'll request for you), then you'll get your credit fixed eventually. I was surprisingly impressed with what they were able to do for my credit! To put is simply = WOW! I had some issues with my credit that I thought were going to be permanent marks, and I would just have to deal with those. I figured they could clean up the other miscellaneous stuff, and even if it improved a little I would be better off. They improved Everything! This company is fantastic! I have had bad credit for a long time, due to old credit card debt, mounting medical bills and student loans. It was in the 500's a couple years ago when a buddy of mine told me about 2nd Chance Financial. I called them and they couldn't have been more upfront, honest and hard working. First, they looked over my credit reports to see what they thought they could reasonably do. Then, they gave me a time period over which they thought they could improve my scores and the cost was more than fair. In the 2+ years they have been working with me, they took my scores into the 700's and, even though I'm finished paying them their fee, they continue to work to get my scores even better. I am mystified by the good comments...they must be from friends who haven't actually used the company or paid them money to help with credit problems. I contracted with Second Chance Financial over a year ago and I have yet to receive any written report or even a phone call on my status. I receive a monthly accounting of my payments paid and payments due and it has NEVER been accurate. Even after speaking to Wayne and verifying the payments with copies to them in the mail the bills are still wrong. As far as I can tell they took my money...did nothing and are billing me again and again for services I have never received and that I have already paid for. This problem makes me feel threatened because they know and have access to my private and personal information. I am thinking about pursuing legal action to get my money back and making sure they do not abuse my personal information. read more

My credit was a dark cloud over me for a long time. Years of not being able to purchase a new or even used car, home or just have a simple credit card. I can't say enough about this company! In less than a year they have cleaned up my reports. Two of them are completely clean and the other only has one negative item that they are still working on.
