Thus far, the process of rebuilding my credit with the help of SCF has been wonderful. Of course, when I had researched a company to assist with credit issues, I was extremely hesitant. When I reached out, I have had the pleasure of being assisted by Karen Molina. She has always explained the process of disputing items and the goals for rebuilding credit. As many of us went through challenges of life post 9-11, I too had a few "dings". I'm human! Let me just say that my car sales guy who looked at my record just 18 months ago looked at my record recently and his jaws dropped to the floor. He asked me how I did it in disbelief. I of course, patted myself on the back and said, "I know people" and my secret is 2nd Chance Financial. But you have to send in your reports promptly. I've been using them since 2000 (13 years) and I've referred many people to them in confidence. When the crisis hit in 2008, I called them again and they delivered. Look, here is the bottom line, don't waste time trying to figure out how to fix your credit, let the professionals do it. Smart people use CPAs to do their taxes and people in trouble use attorneys in a court of law. Why would you try to represent yourself when you are not the expert in this field? Okay, so I know that you can't be all things to all people....as evidenced by the reviews here. BUT....they worked MAGIC with my client. I had a multi million dollar mortgage refinance for an owner of a multi-million dollar international corporation, that was never going to happen because of a couple hundred dollar collection account that showed up on my client's credit report for an account from another family memeber. Since it was already paid off, we had no leverage to negotiate....we were up a creek. I inquired with 2nd Chance and got a call back a while later from Wayne. He said he might have a contact who would listen to the whole scenario and maybe give us a fair shot at correcting this. BOOM! My client called Wayne, she paid up front (why is that so bad?), then 3 days later we had a letter from the collection agency verifying they were removing the derogatory record, and deleting the whole account. This person's mortgage is currently $11,000 per month, so being able to refinance now, instead of waiting at least a year for her credit to go up will mean that she will save $2,800 per month for 12 months that she would otherwise have been able to do. My client had already paid a lawyer over $1,000 to "look in to it", with no luck, so I know this was no small feat. Basically because of what 2nd Chance did, my client saves $33,600 in interest this year....not to mention it created a loan with 5 figures of profit for me. Best $200 spent EVER! Thanks again to Wayne and the crew at the San Dimas office. Again, I can't comment as to every single transaction, just the one that I worked with them on, but I can tell you that they obviously to do the service that they claim, and if you are dealing with loans and it can be a huge diamond for you, as it was for me. I always take reviews with a grain of salt anyways, so whatever you decide, my take is that it's VERY worth your time to check them out! p.s. If you're not happy with their follow-up, then call them and do your own follow-up with them. It amazes me that people complain about this. I called once to push them because I felt it was taking a bit longer than expected....the manager called me that night, and we were done with everything in two days. You would expect that at best they can pinpoint your score, especially if they claim they can increase your score! So far I've been pretty happy in 2 yrs my credit has gone up almost 200 pts I can't give all the credit to them I've done everything I could to get on the right track with credit cards, cars, house etc but having them work on it and checking credit karma gave me the motivation to get all my ducks in a row. Incredible company and a legitimate business! My credit is not bad nor excellent but enough to purchase a condo for my daughter's. The interest rate on the loan is considered average but I would like to refinace at at better rate within the year. I wanted to improve my scores and had negative remarks for so many years that just stayed on credit profile like glue. I didn't know how to make contact with the credit bureaus regarding how to remove them, etc...so my scores can improve. I have been speaking with Karen Molina and she knows her profession because became the conduit between the credit bureaus and my inability to iniatiate contact with the credit bureaus that often prove disconcerting because, I honestly don't know how to start the process of credit repair. Karen knows the process and is looking out for my best interest and I believe the process won't happen overnight but something is positive happening. Over the 4 or 5 months of listening to Karen, my wife just recently got approved for a $ 4000 credit limit with Wells Fargo Cash Savings Credit Card Program and my wife was shocked and very suprised! My wife, honestly is becoming to be be a believer of this company. In addition, just last week, I took a chance to apply for a Bank of America credit card just like the Wells Fargo Cash Credit Program my wife applied to, I, too got approved with Bank of America Credit Card Programs. Something positive is happening and I am believer now. As for now, I was advised not to apply for anymore credit cards due to the "hard hits" as they say in the credit industry that can harm your credit points, another advice from Karen. Let time takes its course and results will be noticeable. I am convinced already and anticipate better credit will eventually occur.
