First, let me start by saying the adoption process went great, but things went downhill after seven…read moremonths of having our new baby home. We adopted Tally Roe in June with paperwork and them stating that she was spayed. This, however, seems not to be the case, as we have just recently found out. Our $400.00 adoption fee has now turned into almost $1000.00. We are on our fourth bag of diapers at $25.00 a box and a couple of washable ones that were $30 for two, and dealing with a dog in heat. Unleashed has offered to spay her, but we did not get to meet the vet when we went in, and at this point, I will make sure my baby is taken care of properly and take her to my vet and pay for it myself. It is unfortunate, Unleashed does not do a better job of ensuring these dogs are spayed before adopting them. They said the TX shelter they retrieved her from told them she was, but when I asked the lady at the desk at their vet clinic if this had happened before, she said it indeed had. I gave three stars because, as I stated, the adoption process was smooth, but I will not adopt from here again. I am not a breeder, and I've never dealt with a female dog in heat, but let me tell you, it isn't fun!

While I was waiting they were baiting a big German Shephard with a cat behind the counter to see if the dog got along with cats. That was when I decided "I don't like this place." In this day in age, I would think most people would think twice about tossing out a friend's private info to a business that you know nothing about . Perhaps over time that would be appropriate, but not simply to meet and greet. They rejected my application because I did not provide references and left a couple of other questions blank. I have no idea if they are a reliable shelter or not, or if their pets are healthy and a good investment for a family. After reading a few of the reviews below I suspect there are issues with those areas as well, but I have no personal knowledge of that. Please proceed cautiously with them with regard to submitting references.

We adopted our dog from a shelter and were unable to take her on walks because she would aggressively charge toward other dogs. We were taught distraction and other techniques to decrease her dog aggression. Our goal was to simply be able to take her on normal walks around the neighborhood and have her ignore other dogs. Initially, trainers taught us various distraction techniques, then they brought in "peer" dogs to desensitize her. We worked with different trainers sometimes but all were excellent. Within a few months we had a different dog! Of course we were different too. But, don't plan on letting the trainers do all the work. You have to put in time and effort to see results. If you care about your dog and you're willing to use the tools you're given, which are ample, your dog will learn quickly. We're so glad we found the Pet Connection and decided to take our dog there for training. Our dog loves her walks and now we love walking her! Thanks Pet Connection!

We found Pam upon a recommendation from a client who said she was amazing. We soon learned her…read moreknowledge of training pups was more than we could have asked for. We purchased her puppy package for in-home training sessions with our French Bulldog, Greta. Not only did Pam teach us how to interact with her, but Greta LOVED her and learned so much from her visits. At only four months, Greta is now potty trained, comes on command, sits on command, gives, 'hi-fives,' is crate trained, started to learn how to go on walks with a harness, knows command, 'up,' and 'off,' can fetch, and we learned how to calm her when she gets over stimulated. She even began some skateboarding with her! Of course we have to put in the work to continue to in grain these things in a puppy, but I can't even begin to convey the wealth of knowledge Pam imparted on us, so that we could acclimate more into puppy life and so Greta fit into ours. Pam teaches the human as well as the dog giving you a wealth of information, going above and beyond so that you know why a dog does the things they do, how to manage the behavior, and how the dog will absorb the training. She eased my worries and I was pleasantly surprised how expertly she worked with little ones. I can't recommend her services enough.

We were fortunate to find her listing for our pup right before Christmas. We had all of our paperwork and have a great relationship with our vet's office. I submitted an application on 10/7, Received an email response from Nancy on 10/8 morning, and then a phone call that evening to set up a meeting. Everything went well there and we picked the puppy up 10/11. There was a volunteer we were working with, so Nancy isn't alone anymore (assuming she was based on previous reviews). Fee for the puppy was $650 which is reasonable for a puppy (especially of this breed). Couldn't be happier with the process and the puppy is absolutely amazing in every way.
