My cat was dropped off for a scheduled 8:00 AM spay appointment and was required to fast beginning at 10:00 PM the night before. I was instructed to return at 3:00 PM for pickup, but after arriving on time, I waited approximately 90 minutes while six customers who arrived after me received their cats first. Throughout the wait, I repeatedly asked for updates and was told someone would be "right out." It was not until I went inside and insisted on answers that I learned my cat's surgery had not even been performed yet!!! The procedure ultimately took place around 5:00 PM, nearly nine hours after her scheduled appointment time. Communication was poor throughout the entire process. There was also confusion regarding my bill, and I was initially charged for the wrong package. While I understand that delays can happen, customers deserve honest communication and timely updates, especially when their pets have been fasting all day and undergoing surgery. My cat is home and recovering, but the lack of organization, transparency, and respect for customers' time made this a very frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I would have chosen my local veterinarian instead.

She was adopted once before and brought back because the family had too young of kids for a 4 month old kitty. We found Meeny at a PetSmart event that Bonner Animal Rescue was at and I fell in love. I couldn't stop thinking about that sweet kitty that I knew I was going to bring home some day and be her forever home. About 2 weeks later, we called the shelter, set an appointment, and went to the appointment ready to give a kitty her forever home and the volunteers were very nice, passionate, and most of all they loved volunteering! We were there for about an hour visiting with Meeny making sure she was the right fit for us and 5 minutes later we were signing papers. After we signed papers, we left without a cat knowing that the next day, we would have a spoiled-rotten cat that loves chicken, and went to the store and got everything she would need and went home to get everything set up for her to enter her new life! When we went back the next day to pick up our kitty, she was all ready to go and all that was left was to pick her up and get things finalized. Meeny had a little bit of a scare, she thought I looked like a dog with my hat on and she got so scared she hissed and peed on one of the owners. When I took my hat off, she was all lovey again and she was ready to go. We also had another scare with a bell she was unfamiliar with and we went all around the shelter trying to find where Meeny, a tiny kitten, had gone. We brought out some "cookies" (treats) and she came right back. Meeny was our perfect match for our small family. It seems like a lot of extra charges now and one of my dogs got hurt there. I know it was an accident because I witnessed her jump up on the park bench in the front waiting area and her leg went through it because there was no cushion on the bench. I ended up having to pay $200 for my vet to look at it and do x rays. Luckily it wasn't broken, but I feel like a simple precaution could have prevented it. Whenever I would pick up my dogs lately, they would be so nervous and acted like the couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm wondering what is going on there that I don't know about. They would also reek when I got them back, so I doubt there is very much cleaning going on there. I really hope they can improve.

I asked for 3 days for an update on my foster dogs whom boarded here and once I did get an update it was snarky from Christy the owner (text below) . I've used boarding facilities before & the facility has always been kind and happy to provide an update every couple days & they are very busy facilities as well. When I picked them up besides Lunas allergy medication nothing was removed from their bags as indicated at drop off, their treat balls for their kennels were still full with the same treats and none from the treat bag had been used. At pick up I was handed both wild excited to see me dogs at the same time & they are both very strong dogs, & before I could get spun around with their leashes thinking I would be provided an update Christy had went back into the office. No greeting of hello, goodbye, zilch. There are many boarding facility's to choose from just do your homework before choosing one especially if you need to leave town for 10 days as I did. Dogs seemed fine at pick up overall. This was the 2nd time they've boarded here (my fosters) and my experience prior was similar retaining to communication. I'm out of town for Christmas from 12/24-12/26 and found another wonderful place in lees summit to board my own dogs & fosters. Thank you Suzanne

I am heartbroken by the decline and know that many of my local friends have also expressed concern over it. All the staff who used to work there left soon after the new management took over a few years back. It's become so much worse recently in my opinion, especially the last couple of times I've boarded my dog. First off, you are blasted by a strong urine smell when walking in the front door, which it never had before. After that, I was told by the front desk attendant that my dog peed her bed the night before. She then brought me all of her stuff, including the soaked pee filled bed in a trash bag that reeked 1. My dog has NEVER peed on anything in the house, for the 10 years I've had her, no matter how long I've left her. NEVER, not even after 12 hours! 2. It definitely smelled like more than one accident the night before. I asked the front desk attendant what happened with her the rest of the time and was told curtly that she guessed it was fine since she had no other notes on her. She also said that she only handled the front desk and never offered to get anyone to talk to me about it, even after I said that she had never peed on anything in the house, ever. I regret not asking her to get anyone else, but wanted to get myself and my dog out of there ASAP as the smell was only getting worse. Finally, she brought out my 11 year old pitbull-boxer mix who looked really unhappy. She just seemed like a different dog the rest of the evening and through the next couple of days. Not the normal, so exhausted she only wants to sleep, but more like she was not happy. I noticed when I unpacked her belongings that they didn't follow all of the instructions by what was sent back home. She didn't get her lunches most days or her bedtime snack every day I was gone. The longer I've been away from the situation, the more frustrated I've become wondering what happened to my poor girl while I was out of town. I will NEVER be bringing my dog back to Pooches Paradise! I also know quite a few neighborhood friends who have also stopped using Pooches Paradise in the last couple of years. Sadly not the place it used to be.

In the heartbreaking days following his death, I heard nothing from the clinic. No word, no email, no card, no sympathy, no acknowledgment of his death whatsoever. Even when the clinic contacted me to let me know his ashes were ready to be picked up, there was not a single offer of condolence or even a simple, "I'm sorry." Nothing. Literally with his ashes! The absence of even the most basic expression of sympathy was hurtful and frankly shameful. I would never have expected such indifference from a veterinary clinic, especially one that had cared for my pets for decades. As awful as the indifference to my pet's end of life was, Dr. Benschoter has always been exceptional in caring for my Cavaliers, as have Dr. Tate and Dr. Sam. Makes my experience even more bewildering.

After a stressful and scary weekend where he had bloody diarrhea and vomiting along with continued hives, we finally saw a great vet in an ER who gave us IM steroid and Benadryl to break the cycle and a steroid taper. He said he never gives just Benadryl for hives like what our dog got. In addition, there is no after hours number to call at this clinic- you're completely on your own. We spent $600 to take care of the reaction from a $20 vaccine since this clinic did not have the appropriate knowledge to treat a common reaction.

I interviewed several dog trainers and Sit Now Stay is the best by far. It started with the free consultation with Brianne. We felt so comfortable and confident with their philosophy and training methods. The training provided the building blocks for the puppies and for us. All the trainers were wonderful. Scout and Skylar worked a lot with Sierra and Laura. We received daily report cards, pictures and videos which helped us stay connected and watch their progress. We were able to visit and see their progress too! Sierra was patient and kind with our lesson to go home. Plus when we called with questions. We highly recommend Sit Now Stay. You will not be disappointed.

It was a "trust me bruh" but they gave no explanation of what they had worked on whatsoever. Her exact quote was "it seems like you and your husband aren't communicating very well". Absolutely crossing the line. . Not only is that completely unprofessional as an owner to question a customer's marriage but to flat out lie is unacceptable. The owner is completely out of line and a scammer. They gave us zero information on what they worked on with our puppy and no report cards. We have no idea what he did all day while in their care. The report card we were told before hiring them would be DAILY. We got Monday's. Tuesday we didn't get one so on Wednesday I mentioned it to the morning staff. He stated they were down a trainer so we would get both today (wednesday). My husband mentioned it to the evening staff at pickup and was told the same thing but stated the delay was due to a sick trainer. Thursday morning we still haven't gotten a report card and haven't been told anything about what has been worked on. The owner tried lying stating they always had told us that we wouldn't be getting daily updates when that is a flat out lie. We had a call with the owner before hiring them where she stated we would be getting daily updates and SHE told us the class she thought would be best based on our goal. I can't stress enough how much of a liar this owner is and now she's trying to twist the narrative. We did not expect perfection we made it very clear we know he's a puppy. However, we have not been told a single thing of what they worked on with our dog. Nor has the biting even slightly gotten better. This was supposed to be a longer course, so the owner falsely framing this as if we expected a magical difference in three days is not only misleading but it is another lie. A complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend. They will tell you what you want to hear then change everything after you pay
