Years ago I started drinking Starbucks with the cold frap when I was just a high schooler-having chilled cold coffee in the fridge was awesome for a someone who had just discovered the addiction to caffeine.Later I become a fan of their Caramel Macchiato and Pumpkin Spice latte in the fall but soon this phase become history as I started to pay more attention toward calories than taste and now I happily settle with the dark roast with a splash of milk! I love the idea that Starbucks has kept up with the changing customer needs..I love their lunch box meals and sandwiches and one of my favs there is the tomato pesto and mozzarella sandwich.The cake pops are a hit with the kids, my daughter absolutely adores them and I on my cheat day can totally gobble the birthday cake cake pop in less than 30 seconds! The baristas are friendly and quick in service, something I have always noticed at mostly all Starbucks locations .In fact they are the only baristas who know what a ZARF is.Their bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Overall a pleasant experience always-and this location is my home location.You guys here a doing a fantabulous job and I love coming here almost every morning!

I'd like to meet the designer who thought this would sit well a block away from a Starbucks and a Tim's, not to mention the dozen coffee shops inside Square One as it is. I would have never found this place were it not for the fact that I was attending a show nearby at the LAC and wanted a quick coffee and snack. I made my way over here and found the experience to be pleasant, though the rough edges are definitely showing. The first thing I noticed was the service. As others have said, the servers are a bit aloof but cordial. I ordered an Orange Spice tea and a slice of banana loaf, and one of them wished me goodbye and seemed to be expecting me to leave the counter while the other woman was getting my food. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, but the service is decent enough. I was surprised by the amount of seating tucked away in the place (you definitely can't see it all from outside), but the padded seats I perched on were fraying and had definitely seen better days. Couple that with the existing power outlet problem (did no one bother to rewire/renovate when they opened this place? Did no one expect that?), and you can see why this place only has a middle-of-the-road rating. That said, the tea's solid (can't really screw that up) and the loaf was fine. This Second Cup is fine for what it is, but it's not a place I'd go out of my way for again, especially with so many other options in the area.

Here is a hint always ask for light ice they still give you plenty of ice, even if the cold brew comes out cold. Otherwise you get a cup full of ice. De Mello coffee is expensivei. However, in the scheme of things it is a good value because the coffee beans they use have a good solid caffeine kick and it tastes good! (My overall favorite place is still across the street a couple blocks North at Himalayan coffee. It's folksy, a lot less expensive and I always feel happy there, especially after I get a cute latte art on my drink.). The Coconut island cost $8.50 plus tax or $9.60! De Mello Coffee is creative marketing their coffee beans. They have crazy names by cotton candy, lolipop, birthday cake, dead, man, walking, etc. however, a small bag of beans is super super expensive. But their marketing makes you wanna try it and then afterwards you're like oh I guess I taste something but it's still not worth the cost. I'm sorry if this review leaves you puzzled to go or not. My husband's Chicken Pot Pie and Frappuccino were very good and his side of Lentil Soup was excellent. The custard tart was okay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that fortified our afternoon. Bravo to their side dishes and coffee. We would return.
