    Sweetcar Named Devour Liège Crepe

Well, it was finally worth the hype! For the first time I finally had the chance to visit Demetres and I was quite impressed with the hype as they really take desserts to the next level! I am very impressed with the balance of flavours especially with the Sweetcar Named Devour Liège Crepe! I cannot wait for the next visit!

Huge portions. Shareable. I enjoy dining here if you need a sweet tooth fix. Hits the spot in the summer

I've come here for years and I love it! If you're craving desserts this is the right place for you. The crapes are absolutely delicious and they have so many dessert options. The restaurant itself is very cute. Ascetically pleasing. The only thing is sometimes is very busy so the waiters are managing a lot but all of them are very kind and welcoming.

Ice cream portion is small now. The ratio to crepe or waffle is not good. Honestly they're really gone downhill. Service is good. Ambiance is nothing special. I'm not going to be returning and I used to come pretty regularly.

Today was a very hot and sunny day, I came here when it just shortly open so it wasn't busy at all. In fact I was the only customer. There were plenty of seatings and the AC was turned on. I was seated immediately and the server was pretty nice and attentive. I ordered the Last Straw Belgian Waffle which consist of vanilla ice cream, strawberry and a strawberry glaze. The waffle was made fresh and kind of melted the ice cream as it was hot. The strawberries were tart and the ice cream balanced it out. Overall I enjoyed this, it was not too sweet and good portion to share between two people.

Demetres is a cute family restaurant uptown Toronto and feels family style! I got ice cream and waffles and the waffles were so crispy and warm- perfectly complementing the cold ice cream. I got creme Brulee banana, which was caramel sweet and a little crunchy from some granola I believe. it's a perfect sharing size! a really big portion. I loved the plating design of the dessert, decorated with icing sugar and the caramel banana- it was almost too cute to eat! I couldn't finish, but it's definitely a cute Date dessert!

What I loved about this place : The ambience and vibe of the restaurant The menu is absolutely amazing (we ordered Blush and Tongue Depressor) Our server was the sweetest person on planet Loved the quantity offered (one dish can be shared by 2 people easily) What could be better: There was a waiting list as the place was busy but it was not managed appropriately. (We went on V-Day) The matcha isn't great (Do Not Order) Cost for 2 ‍ - $30

Unbrûlévable Belgian Waffle is a must to try. This location is super busy. Waiting time is approx 30 min.

I loved the vast options provided on the menu. Even though it was just two people sitting at our table I feel that they have a little bit of everything that will keep people coming back time and time again. We were greeted at the door and then seated quickly. I ordered the last straw on a crepe but substituted the strawberry coulis for Nutella. The food arrived quickly as it was mid-afternoon on a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn't as busy as it usually is. The food looked delicious and tasted just as great. I will definitely be back to order the last straw on a waffle. The customer service was really good. Our waitress came by multiple times to check on us and offer more water. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back for another visit soon.

Came here Wednesday night after work with my husband after craving for something sweet the whole day. This is our go to spot, super convenient from my workplace. The ambience was nice and modern, which made me feel relaxed after a long day of work. Dessert option is incredible, the selection includes different types of waffles, french crepes, ice cream, parfaits, cakes, sundaes, milkshakes & drinks. There is so many flavours to choose from. The service was quick, even though it's unexpectedly busy for a weekday. Our waiter was very attentive and fast. Dessert was great, very generous portion. There is also lots of parking located on both sides of the store, regardless of which side you'll be coming from.

I am a regular customer. Today I tried the seasonal coconut Belgium waffle and it was good. The customer service is always excellent and the food never disappoints. Nice ambiance, good vibes. Not much else to say, this is a staple dessert place for me and the reason my trainer fired me.

Super excited to try the NEW WINTER MENU from Demetres!! I mean who doesn't love Demetres?! They're best known for delicious waffles, crepes, and ultra premium craft ice cream. Pictured: Monumintal served on Belgian Waffle - You can choose either french crepe, liège waffle or belgian waffle. Served with Winter mint ice cream, fudge brownies, oreo cookie pieces, drizzle with french dark chocolate sauce. I really like the soft waffle and the fudge brownies aren't too sweet. Also, the mint ice cream has a lot of chocolate! WOW Splitsonian French Crepe - the ultimate classic crepe with Chocolate ice cream, banana, strawberries, and nutella A chocolate dream lover Fantastic dessert to end this 2021, hoping 2022 will be better

This second location is located outside on the beautifully picturesque cobblestone road named Temperance Street. The building is historic and the calm interiors make you feel instantly at home. The staff was really nice and told me about their menu and seasonal items. In addition to coffee and matcha based beverages, the store offers food and merch as well. Apparently this location is a laptop free zone, offering an incredibly welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of financial district. Today I ordered a cortado. Before you even drink it, the fragrant coffee smell hits you. A bit sweet and almost fruity. When drinking it, the flavours amplify and provide an overall sense of calm, a breath of fresh air. It doesn't just feel like a regular old coffee but that you can take your time with it, like having a conversation with an old friend, it is meant to be savoured. I absolutely plan to go back for one of their seasonal matcha beverages and to get away from it all. 5/5

I did like the flavor of the regular hot matcha latte more, plus they made a very cute bunny latte art on it! Inside is small with minimal seatings but has a cool ambience for hanging out.

Oddly enough, it wasn't the bbt place that responded... I think it was actually the manager for Nonna Lia. They responded within half an hour and was able to confirm the flavours I wanted should be well stocked there. But truthfully, it was a "go there and find out" type situation. Luckily they had all the flavours we wanted to try. The original is fantastic!! Tiramisu with the right textures, rich but light cream, and not too sweet (the ultimate asian praise). We also tried pistachio which was not my favourite personally. I think it could have been more nutty but I know it's one of the more popular ones. I had a bite of earl grey and WOW I want to get that one again so I can really taste it thoroughly. I love the idea of earl grey flavoured anything. I'm so biased but there you have it. Really great cakes in decent portions. It's a bit pricy so definitely more of a rare treat I think. I wouldn't be just buying one for snacking regularly. I understand though that the owner behind the cakes took a lot of time to source authentic ingredients, so the price could be well justified. They also make everything fresh in small batches.
