This is the favorite local thrift store of myself and all the friends I've told about it. It's currently open Monday-Saturday, with a different special each day, in addition to a discount color tag. We often drop off donations around the corner at Open House Ministries on our way, as they first give donations to the families living at the shelter. The coffee shop part hasn't reopened since Covid shut it down. They're currently building a new apartment building across the street for families transitioning from homelessness, and the thrift store and bicycle repair shop (currently next door, and also providing job training for shelter residents) will move to the ground floor, presumably sometime early in 2024. This is my local charity shop and I love it. I prefer to support local charities that benefit the community and that's exactly what they do. You can find great deals here because every day of the week is a different discount (check the website). In these times of overconsumption I find it's so important to shop second hand. I've found some great treasures here and stop by weekly on my walks. The employees are all kind and helpful and so are all the patrons I've met too. After stopping at Goodwill which is ridiculously expensive for what it is, I went to Second Hand Solutions. What a nice surprise. Every person working there was friendly, helpful and fun. The bonus for today was that every last Friday of the month, everything in the store is 50% off. I came home with exactly what I had wanted at Good will for 1/6 of the price. I'll definitely come back here. (To the person that posted the 1 star review years ago, just ignore that. What a hateful post. It in no way reflects this shop. I would come here anytime I'm in the Vancouver area. Many reasonable prices here. I really wish they had a public bathroom. Also, I don't think there's a coffee shop here anymore. I've never seen one in the times I've been here and I've been on both levels. read more

We enjoy stopping in here every time we visit Vancouver, but note that they are closed on Sundays & Mondays. They have more lower end items but a wide variety of things to see. We actually had the find of our lives here - two beautifully-curved light pink velvet couches for $200, which we will keep for a lifetime. So I think it's definitely a diamond in the rough kind of place, which means I'll be back! read more

When I had to knock down my mobile 5 years ago. I lost all my furniture for black mold. So I had nothing then my daughter Lucy took me to this shop and Evetything to start a nrw adventure came from there. Great place plus helps Open House Ministeries. read more

So not only is the store nothing worth driving to that crappy part of town for, they also offer coffee...with NO public bathrooms. Bunch of geniuses down there. It should be for customers only! "Grab a coffee, shop, but don't ask us where the nearest bathroom is cuz we don't know". Plus, some poor mentally ill homeless woman was screaming at the top of her lungs outside. I did find a couple 50¢ frames. I would give it a half a star for that reason alone. read more

This place is so unique! My guy and I were out driving and going to some garage sales when we passed this place and had to turn around to check it out! I love the idea of a coffee shop inside a thrift store - my two favorite things EVER! It's small but definitely a place to check out if you like either of these things. This is an amazing thrift store. Well worth the trip. It's non-profit, and all proceeds support homeless families at Open House Ministries, a family shelter. There are lots of treasures on the first floor, but there's more upstairs . . . including an antique room and a clothing boutique, and they just opened a beautiful bridal room that has a great selection of wedding gowns, veils, dishes and decor. The upstairs is like a step back in time in this beautiful, restored historical building. The whole store has a welcoming atmosphere with a coffee shop and friendly staff. They always have a nice selection of merchandise and furniture at great prices, and they always have some color tags with 50% off. You can be lost for hours in this quaint little thrift store. A great place to meet a friend for coffee and enjoy some shopping. During Christmas, the whole store is like a Christmas boutique. You can find things to decorate your entire home, including a fully decorated Christmas tree! And the best part, every purchase helps homeless families! read more

Either stop by to buy a few things or donate to help stock their store. I would rather donate here for a local cause than to a bigger corporation like Goodwill. read more
