Great location for making donations, in any weather! They have a drive-thru drop off area that is covered, making it convenient in rainy weather as well. The flow of the entrance and exit from the drop-off area works really well since it's in the back of the building. Sometimes you have to wait in line a bit, depending on how much people are dropping off. Only one car can fit in the carport area at a time. Employees are always nice and helpful. As soon as you drive up, a bell rings signaling an employee that you arrived. They come out with a big rolling cart for you to put your donations in. Very easy process. They ask if you want a receipt, then you're on your way! I haven't shopped inside for many years, so I can't speak to the pricing or condition of items. I used to ride the MAX to work in downtown Portland, so I would hit the Goodwill for books to read on the way. They always had a nice selection and prices were great. I genuinely felt like i was on some sort of prank show when i was in this store. Never in my 20+ years of thrifting have I seen such insane price gauging. Why is everything in thus goodwill priced at 40 DOLLARS!!!!! Charging $40 for dated and worn Banana Republic should be a crime. A consignment store would not even charge such a high price and anyone in their right mind would not and should not pay that price. I know goodwill thinks brands like urban outfitters, zara, and banana republic are some sort of luxurious designer brand but if i wanted to spend more than $10 for something from one if those stores i would rather just go to the actual store instead of supporting this greedy company. Twice in two days we tried to donate stuff. First time, we tried to give two night stands, both painted black, in decent condition. (Side note: we actually bought both from Goodwill in the same condition a few years before.) The man receiving donations wouldn't take either one, because both WERE PAINTED. Second time, a day later, tried to donate a large dog crate in good condition. Same man there. Wouldn't receive because it was dusty from sitting in our shed! Came home and put it out by the street. In 10 minutes it was gone. I will never donate to Goodwill again. read more

They are selling a sweater thats new with tags from marshalls which sold there for 29.99 but they are marking this for $49.99!!!!!!! $50??! Really? For the item that you got for free? How in the world can a person who shops at goodwill afford this? Also banana republic sweater for $39! You can buy new one for $15 at the outlet. This is outrageous!! This should be illegal. Awkward (for me) to start ogling the mittens and gloves right when I walked in the door, only to realize it was part of the line and people were trying to get by me. But again, just awkward for me. If you like bargain store shopping you will love this store! Constantly updated inventory. Prices have bounced up And down last 4 years. Happy to report furniture prices have been on the decrease!! Much more affordable furniture here. Lamps, nicknacks, linens, are all competitively priced. Clothes are very reasonable. Seldom is there damage to clothes, zippers work, no buttons missing etc. Great place to buy artificial floral items and candles. I noticed a very large selection of porcelain type dolls lately, very reasonable. Crafts supplies are vast. Good place to pickup vacuums and seasonal items. Better prices than the local salvation army..surprised me. Very fast checkers most of the time very short waits in line. Plenty of dressing rooms and clean bathroom. Super easy drop off! This is a mid sized goodwill store. The products instore vary, from department store to a few higher end mix ins. It is very well organized, yet there is a large selection of clothing and shoes. Considering the location I would rate it well, some of the employees are a bit unfriendly, but eh. The best part of this goodwill store is their book selection. They have a lot more to offer than the standard romance novel/John Grisham mixup. I like to look for deals on art history books at this store, in particular. read more

We went to this Goodwill on the way out of Portland and it was definitely worth a stop! It's fairly large, clean and well organized, with a nice big parking lot. The donation drop-off area is covered, so you can hop out easily even when the weather is bad, and just pull through and be on your way -- it's not crammed awkwardly at a rear entrance in an alley like many stores. The store is fairly large and seems pretty new. At any rate, it's clean and well maintained, so it's easy to shop. The housewares section is pretty big, but the furniture, books, and men's clothes departments are on the small side. They had some excellent holiday/novelty sweaters at reasonable prices! Many Washington Goodwills are now marking their Xmas sweaters up to absurd prices, but I found a good one here for under $10. I also saw some fun bird and animal sweaters for sale. Prices are typical of Goodwill and there are colored tag discounts and other specials. If you're thrifting in the Portland area, add this Goodwill store to your list! read more

This is one of my favorite Goodwills in the Portland area. It's really clean and organized and I have found a lot of brand new items from department stores with the original tags still attached. I agree that there is plenty of parking and the staff here are exceptionally helpful and friendly compared to other locations. If you are a thrift store aficionado like me, definitely come here often for great deals on higher quality items. I come to this location a lot for my girlfriend/diva items which are abundant here. Don't miss out right now on these brand new, shiny plastic clutches featuring a pair of bejeweled lips on the flap for only $7.99 (pic 1). Don't worry, dozens are available. I recommend this pink crown lamp for your little diva princess (pic 2) for $3.99, it even works! And how about this entire gift package for your girlfriend? Show her you appreciate her feminine side with a pair of unworn 4-inch ankle spike heels for $7.99, a sparkling silver scarf for $2.99, and a pair of perfume bottle-shaped trinkets marked "Frivolous" and "High Maintenance No. 5" for $1.99 each. Back in my old burg, you took your chances shopping at the local thrift stores. They were always permeated with the stank of B.O. and dirty feet. The shelves also appeared to be stocked by poorly trained lab monkeys on crank. That's why I'm so AMAZED by the quality of the Goodwill stores in this area. They all look pretty much the same, inside and out. They're reasonably clean, well-organized and the smell doesn't bring up my lunch. AMAZING! I've had the best luck finding great bargains at this particular Goodwill. Yesterday, I found two AWESOME pairs of Levi's 501's that were just my size and in perfect condition. Those suckers usually take months to break in properly. With these jeans, somebody already did the breaking in for me, and they were only $7.99. I also scored a wool London Fog top coat for $39.99. I looked on-line and the lowest price I could find for the same coat was $175.00. AWESOME! The jeans and the coat would have been enough to make my day, but I also found a miniature German beer stein for only $2.99. It's the perfect addition to my collection, and I recently saw the same stein go on eBay for $20. AWESOME and AMAZING! read more

The employees are nice, but it is so hard to get attention when You want to use a dressing room. And don't you dare have more than six items to try on. There is a really grumpy manager there that seems to stress other employees out. I feel bad for them. Still, it's a good will. I have found some great treasures here and on other trips haven't found anything. read more

Staff at drop off was quick, helpful, polite, and also kind. I've recently lost a loved one and will be bringing load after load here as it is close to the deceased's home. I will try to come in the morning because the guy was so great and also he says morning is a slower drop off time. I was able to get a receipt for my taxes. My son wanted to go inside to look for Nerf guns. They had what he wanted. A Nerf gun for $5 seems reasonable enough to me. Compare for yourself with prices elsewhere, but I felt it was a fair recompense to the teen who carried all the bags and boxes of donations out to the car for me (and will be doing so again and again and again...) The store seemed clean and products were well organized. A Wii video game system with "all but one cable" (per my teen) was $20. I didn't check any other prices. Checkout was quick. The cashier had an accent that was a bit hard to understand, and it wasn't the most efficient checkout process (at the register itself) ever, but it was well within normal limits for reasonable time-to-pay. I would shop here again if in the market for used goods. It was a solidly fine, if not marvelous, shopping experience. Drop off of donations, however, was exceptionally good. read more

Like others I have my thrift stores ranked and honestly this is in my top 2! I can always find a parking spot, the organization of items inside is incredible compared to the other stores located near by, the staff have always been efficient and handle questions and problems promptly! We have a goodwill closer up, in salmon creek, and I will drive further to this one as it is so much easier to find things I want. I don't want to spend hours digging through shelves of items that will most likely fall on me if I'm not careful! My only "con" is that there has been some questionable activity in the bushes as I've walked out to my truck more than once. No one has ever bothered us personally though, so only taking once star off for that. read more

I want to put a plug in for Goodwill stores in general. We have furnished most of our house with goods from there and other stuff as well. They are always clean and seem pretty organized. The prices have gone up considerably though. I frequent Value Village which has better prices. read more

Clean, spacious, and well lit - which is a nice perk when thrifting! In addition, a lot of the stuff is pretty high quality without being high priced. It's hit or miss whether I'll like a Goodwill, but this one is definitely on my come back again (and again) list. read more

I had a working Quichie electric wheelchair with a tilt seat worth several thousand dollars, in great shape that I was going to donate to the Goodwill in Salmon Creek, Vancouver WA. I called them last Friday and was told that they would accept it. When I got there I asked them if they had a ramp to unload it and they said, "No". I asked if they would help me unload it and the supervisor again said, "No", Even though there were two strapping young men, employees there, they wouldn't accept it because they wouldn't help unload it.The supervisor said she wouldn't accept it, implying that the reason was because it couldn't be unloaded. I'm 73 years old and I managed to unload it myself. Then she told me she still wouldn't accept it after telling me on the phone that she would and they wouldn't even help me reload it on my truck! They went back into the store and closed the doors leaving me with a 150 lb. wheelchair to try to figure out how to load back in my truck! A lady parked behind me came over and helped me load it back on my truck. There is no excuse for this incompetence. I will never donate or shop at a Goodwill store again and I will tell anyone who cares to listen about this incident. You just got yourself a lot of bad advertizing because of this incident.
