I went to my first event with this group last night at historic Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores, AL. established in 1834 Fort Morgan has stood as the guardian of Mobile Bay. They can be viewed on social media as well as regional TV and have been fearured on the CW, NBC and Fox. My personal commentary regarding interest in the paranormal is simple. As a teenager I got to know someone who had some extraordinary abilities to know things about me, my family and stuff in general that were private and personal that I just couldn't explain. He wasn't a professional "psychic", in fact very few people had any idea that he had those abilities and he was VERY reluctant to tell anyone. It didn't result in my pursuit of the paranormal but it did cause a paradigm shift in my thinking because I my mind was wide open to those possibilities. Many years later I encountered fellow radio people, who I respected, and were very involved in the subject and well it just has been a thing. Belief in the paranormal and subjective paranormal experiences are as old as civilization itself, from the Egyptian Book of the Dead to Winston Churchill's conversation with Abe Lincoln at the White House there's a plethora of accounts everywhere. In fact, YouGov published an article that states that 45 percent of Americans express a belief in ghosts, so it not surprising that organizations like this have an important service in the community.
