I like how hygienic she was. Obviously, that should be the first thing that should be taken into consideration. Avenging Art Tattoo took pride in ensuring that hygiene is at the top of their list. Heather was extremely sanitary with the handling of the needles, washing her hands, and glove-wearing. It is a really relaxed atmosphere without any pretentiousness. I felt that was important for the next place I get my tat. Often times, you find yourself in a place and they make it seem like they owe you something when you are there to get a tattoo. I can't do those types of places. I like it where I feel like I can shoot the shit with you and feel comfortable enough to get something done without the artist feeling like they're above you since what you want isn't an elaborate request or a $400 tat. I got mine for $80 minus tip. A great attitude goes a long way with me. Parking is a bit weird. Park in the front of the establishment or on the side. Do not park in the neighboring parking lot since you might get towed.

A friend recommended Jason. I contacted him, explained my situation. He was replying to me after midnight via Messenger and came into work early the next day to fit me in. I was able to get scheduled for about 1.5 weeks later. I had initially thought of a different design and sent in two photos to essentially combine, and Eli both delivered exactly the requested design but also another that I ended up loving and choosing which was so exciting! Eli, and the nice guy at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. Was a very relaxing and comfortable experience. Highly recommend!

Kristen Kooster was the artist whose line work caught my eye, and without a doubt her precision and meticulousness made the tattooing process so wonderful. The scheduling was seamless, all digitized through text and email which made integrating into Google Calendar a breeze. It was lovely to see how supportive everyone was of each other in the suites. Love seeing solidarity and friendship amongst women doing amazing work! When I arrived about 10 minutes early, I was greeted warmly and given some paperwork to fill out...and then I sat...and sat...and sat, as artists and the receptionist gossiped and I was ignored. After 45 minutes, I had to leave. I had already arrived an hour later than expected and I had places to be. When I told the receptionist, I was asked if I would like to reschedule. No thanks. Maybe if there had been ANY communication, but no. I asked for a refund of my deposit and was laughed at. I understand the point of the deposit, but considering I paid to waste a couple of hours of my life, I thought they might have a bit of empathy. Will not be going back. I'll stick to my usual artist, even thought it's a much longer drive.
