Safe House Tattoo is an exceptionally welcoming, cozy, and professional tattoo studio. Upon finding them through social media, I stumbled across one of their artists, Hendy Gaia. The booking process was very smooth and efficient for explaining the tattoo I wanted, setting up a time and date, and working with Hendy to figure out the best placement. She also was a pro at what her specific artistry could do to elevate the tattoo I wanted. She thought of adding small touches that really brought the tattoo to the next level! I would have not thought to add these details, so I'm forever thankful Hendy did. She is a true professional. The studio itself is very clean, well run, and non-intimidating. The decor also adds a great feature to make you feel comfortable and less anxious if you're nervous! I have already booked another appointment with Hendy, but a quick scroll on the studio's Instagram will show you the vast amount of talent each artist holds at Safe House. This is a must visit studio if you're wanting to add art to your body. Hendy specifically is great at bold black traditional art.

I could not be more grateful to Will Campbell at Safe House Tattoo for my new piece. It's perfect. Will and the folks at Safe House were exceptional to work with. I cannot recommend them enough.

I could not be happier with my experience at Safe House with English! Everyone was genuinely welcoming and friendly, and the environment is very clean and high-end. My tattoo artist, English, made me feel so comfortable the entire duration of my day session and throughout the process in general. She really listened to what I wanted and made my vision come to life in the form of a perfect tattoo. Highly recommend and already can't wait for my next tattoo!

    Thank you Chip!!!

Chip Harbin did my tattoo this week! I wanted feminine flowers with lots of pink and he made it so beautiful! I love all his watercolor work, which is why I wanted him to do my tattoo. He was also super easy to talk to while he was working, which kept my mind off it hurting. :-) Safehouse is a very comfortable place. All the artists are super cool and everyone was fun to chat with. When I'm ready to get another tattoo, I'll come back!

This is fantastic shop in every aspect! My husband and I were coming to Nashville to visit friends and both booked appointments with Zane. The shop was fantastic and the entire staff could not have been more friendly to us. Zane did a phenomenal job on both of our tattoos though they could not have been more different - I wanted a watercolor style lilac and my husband a Simpson character. It is clear that Zane can handle ANY type of design you throw at him! Both came out wonderfully! Even strangers have come up to me to comment on what a beautiful tattoo I have. Zane is a true artist and came up with a unique design that is exactly the piece I have always wanted. I would recommend him (and this shop) to anyone and everyone!

As stated on their website Danelle is the artist doing walk ins so we just stopped in to see if she was available. She happened to be working on someone else but was available in an hour so we left and came back a little later. She was great! So nice and very informative. I have another tattoo so I was familiar with the process but she provided 2 difference sizes as well as some background info about what she thought would look best as it was a thin line tattoo and I wanted to see all the details. I'm super happy with my end result and would totally go back. The shop was also very very clean and the girls at the front desk were super nice as well! They seemed really happy that I mentioned I was from out of town as they usually just get locals but that also did make me feel more confirmed with my choice in knowing they seemed to have lots of reoccurring local customers. Overall great experience!

Looked up the IG page and found an artist, and was able to walk in on a Tuesday afternoon. Danielle did our tattoos and I love it! That was the I Lu confusing part of the whole thing. We love our tattoos and would def recommend this place!

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my experience with the tattoo itself. I do not recommend Tim Peterson. A friend and I came in for matching tattoos. Her design ended up being slightly larger than mine, but they were otherwise very similar. The quality of our tattoos, however, looks like they were done by two completely different artists--even though Tim did both. Within 3-4 days, I noticed part of my tattoo already looked faded and unfinished. I waited nearly a month before reaching out because I wanted to give it time to heal. When I contacted Tim, I told him I loved the design but felt part of it looked incomplete. He did not dispute my concerns when I showed him a photo of how the tattoo looked after nearly a month of healing and simply told me to come back so he could fix it. The problem is that I live over 4.5 hours from Nashville. Coming back isn't as simple as making a quick trip--I have to take time off work, drive several hours, and pay for a hotel. Despite staying in contact and trying to plan multiple trips, Tim never once mentioned there was a six-month deadline for complimentary touch-ups. It wasn't until I reached out recently about pricing for a friend who wanted a tattoo during an upcoming girls' trip that he mentioned his hourly rate is now $200. I then asked whether I'd have to pay to have my original tattoo fixed. That's when he informed me that because it had been over six months, a small touch-up would cost $100. Had I been told from the beginning that there was a six-month limit, I would have done everything possible to make it back sooner. But that was never communicated. This wasn't a tattoo that faded from age or sun exposure--it looked unfinished from the start. I assumed an artist would stand behind work that needed correction due to the original application, regardless of when I was able to return. His response was: "I'm not sure if you were under the impression you had unlimited time for a touch up. But unfortunately we can't offer that. If you were unhappy with the tattoo from the beginning I'd hate to solidify the unliked design further for you, and you may want to seek out another artist that works for you." Instead of standing behind his work, he suggested I find another artist to fix a tattoo he acknowledged needed to be touched up. That response was incredibly disappointing. I have several tattoos, and this is the first time I've encountered an artist who wasn't willing to stand behind the quality of their work. My issue isn't simply the touch-up fee--it's the lack of communication about the policy and the unwillingness to take responsibility for a tattoo that appeared incomplete from the beginning. If you're looking for an artist who stands behind their work and clearly communicates expectations, then do not book an appointment with Tim. I'm sharing this so future clients can make an informed decision before trusting someone to permanently tattoo their body. In my experience, I was left with work that appeared incomplete from the beginning and was then expected to either accept it if I couldn't return within six months (and was never originally told this time frame) or pay an additional $100 to have the original work corrected.

I drove 45 mins, to this god forsaken city of traffic, just for her to tell me that the shop owner had left and only he could do it because the other artists weren't comfortable. No one there, now that my former artist Matt has left, can fill in an inch by half inch space in black? Not to mention I told her exactly what I needed done and she said walk ins were cool until close. I got there at 4PM and NO OTHER CUSTOMER WAS THERE. It was completely dead. No one in the lobby, no one in a chair. No actual artist could come over and speak to me and see that im not asking for anything crazy?
