The unspoken expectation is that this location is all about self-service. Most of my inquiries about specific products have been met with puzzled expressions and vague answers. The air of indifference is disconcerting, and makes me feel my business isn't appreciated. There is a wide variety of pet supply stores in Portland, but this store caters to an underserved area in between the retail zones of Hollywood and 82nd Avenue. While I appreciate this resource when I'm in a pinch, I'll likely shop elsewhere if management is unable to address the lackluster customer service found here.

However, it became a huge inconvenience for us to bring a box of food home, prepare to feed our dog, only to find that the food is subpar. We decided to switch to another raw food that our local pet store carries: "Bones & Co". Hopefully, we'll have better luck with this company.

They either received a partial order or no order at all. I've noticed that the food looks stale or freezer burned and dry when I pour it out into the dog bowl or the nuggets are clumped together as if they were defrosted and re-frozen. It isn't an issue with local pet food companies but with the distributor. I took the time to call NN to let them know. Person who answered could not care less. Finally, she told me that Jason (?) would get back to me...of course, he didn't. This is pricey dog food. I buy it because it is the best around for my pups. But, if the quality is substandard, due to distribution issues, I will search for another product.
