We came here on a girls trip dinner and it was the perfect spot! Located in a really lively and hip area with lots of other bars to explore. When you walk inside, the interior is breathtaking - really beautiful space!! We had an early dinner so were one of the only groups but were lucky enough to witness a proposal just as we were walking in, so that really started the evening on a magical note. For a large group of 12, we had emailed ahead of time for a tasting menu and with most getting drinks, was under $100 per person, which seemed very reasonable for all the courses we got! Service was particularly excellent, very attentive, timed courses, giving that real fine dining feel. We had 12 courses and get item tasted good. I have no complaints! Its not so much that the dishes were gastronomic or really unique per say, but each one was cooked experly, seasoned well, and left us feeling full, but not heavy. The fresh ingredients really shined through. Of the courses, I ended the miso salmon, salmon tataki, and the burrata a lot. Had this place booked marked for a while for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam. Was skeptical at first because it seems like they put all of their resources into the ambiance and location, but the food was actually really good.... pricey, but good. The atmosphere reminded me of something out of Alice and wonderland. Peacock cages, dark walls, interesting lighting, vibrant chairs and booths, etc. I can't remember the cocktails we ordered, but the drinks were good. To eat we shared the rib eye dish, sweet potato tempura, tuna tartare, and a shrimp dish. Everything tasted good and surpassed our expectations. I recall they said to get 4 items between the 2 of us, but in reality, we agreed 3 items would have been enough - portions are big! Menu reminded me of asian fusion with tapas portions? The food was mediocre at best. The cocktails were lovely. That Rose Martini with an actual rose floating in it was very pretty. It tasted like vodka with roses floating in it. The waiter was a douche. He spent the evening being condescending and, apparently, appalled that we hadn't seen their weird bathroom on instagram. This was after he informed us that women are impressed by that bathroom because we like to defecate together. Not gonna lie; I was not expecting that to be a part of the conversation. This restaurant is so cute! It is decorated with lots of greenery, the front area is more intimate with plush seating booths and a bar, perfect for date night. The area in the back is table and chair seating, during the daytime you can see the sky through the clear ceiling. Service was fast and the wait staff were attentive and recommended what to order. My friend and I ordered a few items each and shared. Food was really delicious, pricey for sure but good. Drinks were tasty as well. Reservations are recommended. This is my second time dining here, first time for lunch and second was for dinner. Next time, I think I would like to try to sit near the bar - the vibe just seemed different in that area. read more

A unique dining experience in Amsterdam. Pricey yet worth it as the experience and the food were wonderful. Our server was Spanish and incredible!! She made the evening even more magic. The ambiance is like a garden. The food a fusion of Asian and Peruvian. Much like a tapas experience. We selected the Jaguar group meal which is many courses. We had a wonderful meal and great dining experience. Everything from the drinks to the food to the ambience and the service were spot on. Our favorite place to eat in Amsterdam-definitely recommend making a reservation a couple days ahead of time to get a good time slot. This review is based on my experience and I hope others can have a more pleasant visit. I made a reservation weeks in advance ahead of my trip at the end of June. I showed up for my reservation only to be turned away because I was wearing shorts (in 80 degree weather). I was told the dress code was "smart casual." Being a college educated professional, I assumed a button up shirt and shorts in the summer was smart casual. But, when I arrived I was turned away. Highly disappointing given we planned ahead of time and obviously had no backup plan. read more
