Plenty of Colorado liquor stores have good selections and friendly staff. The reason I went 5 stars here is just the overall volume of bottles I had never seen, stacked floor to ceiling (and sometimes a few on the floor as well, so watch your feet!). I ended up walking out with a couple of store picks and cannot wait to crack them open in the near future. If you are in Colorado Springs and close to downtown - you must check this store out! I had asked the owner of the store to look into bringing in a special bottle of whiskey I was seeking, and once the owner got it into the store, he elected to attempt to charge me a secondary price to me for the bottle. A whiskey that with a normal mark up would be $124.99-$129.99 max - he wanted $199.99 for after being a regular customer AND telling him about the product. With the current economic environment, your money is better spent elsewhere. It doesn't matter if you support the store, the owner is going to attempt to price gouge you whenever he can. Simply put, being a regular customer here isn't worth it, it doesn't get you anywhere.
