I wish there were negative stars to give to this business. Customer service employee was arrogant and dismissive of my opinion and observation as a customer. As a regular for years, today I purchase what I normally do, Fireball 1.5L bottle. After payment, I noticed the price was much higher than usual at $29.51. When I brought this up to the employee's attention, the asshole, that taxes could not add up to that price for an item listed price at $23.99. The employee said, "Not much we can do about that now, all sales are final. That's an old price." You mean to tell me a business cannot give a customer a refund for the difference in price due to their false advertisement and discriminatory practices? I am Hispanic. Then the employee went to the item and removed the price tag of $23.99 from the refrigerator I picked up my item from. Classiest liquor store in Fountain, dare I say Colorado Springs too. Friendly staff. The owners pride themselves on having a great selection already and will take requests to get what you want. They have a points system for their allocated stock so be prepared to earn your ability to purchase rare bottles. The tasting room is nice and spacious for tasting events. The store is much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside, not quite like the TARDIS, in simile at best. Unfortunately the majority of their selection is the same thing you find everywhere else. Just more of it. Lots of beer wine and spirits, but absolutely nothing in Between other than mixers and cocktail ingredients and supplies. Truthfully, I could deal with a liquor store so basic, but "Girl, I'm stoned AF, and I have walked into a realm larger than I expected, I would like to walk around and explore this store on my own, unless you're closing soon?" Nothing about that interaction invited self love intervention therapy. And the second time I come in, "oh, your spirit is looking much more cheerful today, and those bright colors, see I told you you were allowed to be happy." Ok, now I'm pissed. Why in the world does anyone think they have the right to tell a person how they feel? I'M STONED! NOT SUICIDAL! If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. The rules they set for buying liquor is beyond ridiculous. I am a bourbon drinker and I love Blantons. As any bourbon drinker knows, Blantons is a small batch liquor and finding it is rare, and when you do find it, you buy as much as you can. I went into Klix the other day and found out they had a bottle. My eyes lit up and I could taste that sweetness in my mouth. Only to find out that I need to accumulate "points", 4,000 of them, in order to be "eligible" to buy a bottle. Are they serious? I have to spend money to have the "opportunity" to buy what I want? Their reasoning? It keeps people coming back to the store to spend more money. Give me a freaking break. This is the most ludicrous thing I ever heard of!! They won't let me spend my money on something I really want until I spend money on other stuff? If their reasoning was to bring people back into the store, they just lost a customer. What kind of business model is this? You can bet I will be spreading the word that no one should spend their money here. read more
