She was very thorough and detailed, listening carefully to what all of our visions were for the perfect wedding makeup and made them into reality. The makeup stayed perfect even throughout the hot AZ weather and even lasted through some tears of joy from our wedding party. :) Marcy was equally amazing at working on our updos and on the bridal hairstyle. She was great at taking what our preferences were and creating a hairstyle that would look beautiful for each person's style and face shape. I hired Sedona Beauty Team for a couple's photo session on 10/26/21. I communicated my preferences with the owner Liz; however, Gretchen did my makeup the day of the session. I brought example photos of makeup I liked [that Sedona Beauty Team had done] & photos of professional makeup I had done in the past. Gretchen was a very pleasant person (so I did tip her as it's customary to do so), but I was displeased with the end result. The makeup looked heavy in-person, but I thought/hoped it would photograph well. Boy I was wrong. The shade of foundation is too dark & my eyes look ridiculous - too many clumps of individual lashes & the thickest eye liner (and wing?!) I've ever had applied. Overall, it overwhelmed my petite facial features. I'm sure Gretchen is talented, but perhaps my unique appearance was too challenging. *Note to owner: I did not receive replies to the last two emails I sent (I know it's your busy season!), but I'd be happy to share photos of what I'm talking about in a private message. I left a voicemail last night (9/22) advising that I had sent an inquiry request over a week ago with no response and asked "Liz" to call me. When I did the inquiry I got an automated response that someone would be in touch with me "shortly." I haven't heard back and am not going to beg someone to take my money. I understand they're busy, but a call can take two minutes to do, or even an e-mail to say, "Sorry that date is not available" and I'll be on my way. The fact that this team travels to you the day of your wedding is amazing. They care about how you want to look and work with your hair and skin type to bring out your natural beauty. While they need to apply the make up heavy for photos, it still looks very natural and doesn't feel heavy at all. Nicole was my make up artist, and she was fantastic! All of my bridesmaids raved about her, and I absolutely loved my make up! Marnie and Priscilla did the hair for me, my bridesmaids, flower girls, and greeters.
