I thought I was going to going to have problems finding someone who could cut and color my hair when I moved here. I wear my hair in a dark bob that I have it done every four weeks.I have tried stylists everywhere.I was never satisfied. If I could give Lisa more than five stars, I would. I started going to Lisa for color and highlights because she advertises as an organic salon. I am very sensitive to smells, and she promised that there were no odors in her salon, and she was right! I've been promised the no-odor commitment in the past, but they just didn't understand how just a simple smell can trigger my various symptoms. She understands!!! To boot, I found out that she is an excellent stylist, and her cuts are exactly what I'm looking for. (Not to mention that she is a wonderful person.) Lisa Cook has just recently moved to this location, Suite B. The salon shares the parking lot with the Hog Wild BBQ restaurant off of North Main St. She uses all organic products from her facials, nail products to hair coloring. Lisa also does silk shimmers(some people call them hair tinsels) for your hair. She has a wide variety of colors. I got a fantastic hair cut and shimmers at a great price. I have hair curly and wavy hair. It hard to find a stylist that can work with me but the biggest bonus for me was that Lisa listened to what i wanted to do with my hair. I have dealt with to many stylists that do not listen to me. My hair looks awesome. She offers a wide variety of services. I also love the fact that she is on an automated system. I have seen Lisa 2 times now. I asked her to to do 2 things: 1)bleach my dark roots (about 2 inches worth) & 2 add dark to my dark streaks. She did cover up the dark hair, but the product lasted only 3 washings and then was gone. She covered up only the blonde roots on the top of my head and nothing underneath, so when I wear my up partially, it was not done. So then when it grew out some, 3/4 of my head had 3 inch roots and the newly grown out stuff on top looked horrible. I went back a 2nd time because I thought maybe the 1st time I went was to long of an appointment and maybe she got tired or just struggled with the way my hair was when I got there. But, after the second time she still did not cover up all of my roots like I asked and I am left with uneven dark spots in the sides and back. I don't know why she would not cover my roots and leave me looking like this. I am very sad... read more

I started going to Lisa not long after she opened her Cottonwood Salon. She always did an excellent job with my hair. I felt she was someone who truly cared about her clients. I recently returned to the area after spending a year traveling. I scheduled an appointment with her before Christmas. I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized. I was unable to keep my appointment. I called as soon as I was released and explained what happened. She didn't bother to inquire about how I was doing or express concern. I apologized for missing the appointment and asked if she could fit me in. She said she was booked a month out explaining she was busy with a client and would call me back to reschedule. She didn't return my call. I talked to a friend about what happened. She said given Lisa's reaction I should make an appointment with another stylist. I had trouble accepting that the Lisa I knew could be so callous. I was one of the first clients to give her a glowing review. Now she has many and more business than she can handle. I thought perhaps she misunderstood so I stopped by her salon and again explained what happened. She still didn't express concern. This time she told me she was booked six weeks out & never bothered to explain why she didn't call me back. I was so hurt, but I didn't want to show that in front of her and her clients. I waited until I got to my car to cry. Kindness & a good haircut would have meant so much especially after going through such a traumatic experience. read more
