The park is known for its stunning views of Cathedral Rock reflecting in Oak Creek. It offers picnic areas, easy hiking trails along the creek, swimming holes, and historic buildings, with an entrance fee of $15 for vehicles and $2 for area map. The park is dog-friendly (on leash) and provides a scenic, family-friendly experience with opportunities for wading, fishing, and photography.  There are paved and dirt trails. We arrived at 11am on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. There were a few parking spots available but I've heard that the area gets very busy on the weekends so try getting to the park before 10am. We enjoyed swimming and recommend bringing snacks, drinks, beach chairs and towels. Also, bring water shoes and floats to enjoy swimming in the creek. Check it out when in the area a must visit!! We literally drove away from one of the most beautiful places around and started our ascent over the nearby ugliness, drifted further and further away, and ending in even further ugliness. (January is a grey and dead-looking in the outskirts of the area, but the beautiful red soil of Sedona prevails year-round and we wanted to see it from the air.) We chose this company after seeing a hot air balloon in the air in the Sedona area...but that's just not what we got at all. Obviously what we saw was a different company and we were seriously disappointed. I would have given our experience 5 stars had we actually been in the Sedona area, as the website implies. The website is unfortunately misleading, especially for hopefuls. Perhaps it is our own fault for not EXPLICITLY asking, "Your website reads, 'Sedona Flagstaff Prescott Hot Air Balloon Rides', and so we will be flying near or over the Sedona area, right?" The website clearly states, "We typically fly 4,000-5,000 feet when weather permits on a regular weekly basis. The views from these heights are spectacular and breathtaking!" I am certain we did not fly, on our trip, more than 2,000 feet at any time. I wonder what breathtaking views we missed. Our pilot, Don, was great. He was fun, a real character, light, and informative. We'd go on another ride with him any day...but only if we were drifting in a more interesting area.

It's embedded within a 55+ living community so it is quiet and very peaceful. We went on a Monday, and they had a BOGO special going on, so I got to join my boyfriend for free! The course was well maintained, but it is a NARROW course with houses lining each side so it's some pressure to execute some NICE swings. There are little arrows pointing you to the next holes as you do have to drive in the community a title bit, but the houses were so sweet that I didn't mind. Lots of hills and water hazards to make the course fun! We can't wait to come again.
