The education center was very clean, open and bright. The main area easily held all of the girls plus adults with one wall of floor to ceiling windows overlooking Lake Pleasant and the desert landscape. There were clean bathrooms & a few classrooms for education purposes. One of which had several large glass vivariums for snakes, iguanas and other reptiles & insects native to the area. The girls were split into large groups according to age and classes were led by knowledgeable and friendly Park Rangers. We had so much fun playing games from Native Americans who live/lived in the Sonoran desert, learned about and tasted edible plants, saw wildlife up close & personal as we learned about "Poisonous vs Venomous" creatures & plants. We learned how to keep ourselves out of an emergency situation and what to do if we found ourselves in one. How to build an emergency shelter & fire and how to track all different kinds of animals!!! I highly recommend this place for a team building workshop, field trip etc.

I was a bit reluctant to go again since it's not really my thing. The drive was about an hour from Chandler area. I believe we went to the 10 lane boat ramp area which has a pretty wide ramp which made it easy for them to get the boat and jet skis in. It was a super hot day but the water was pretty nice. We were out there at 4pm and didn't get back to the boat ramp until after 8pm. Long enough for me! Some of them tried wakeboarding which looked fun! Unfortunately, due to some joint issue, I wasn't able to try it. It didn't seem super packed that weekend so that was nice. I did kinda wanted to checkout the Marina area but we didn't get to do that.

We arrived before check-in but had trouble finding the exact location due to unclear directions. When we found Betty in person, she told us it was "too late" and refused to let us participate--even though we still had time to make the ride. We also tried calling multiple times beforehand with no answer. The lack of flexibility and customer service was frustrating, and our kids were very disappointed. Betty SUCKS!

We waited around two hours the rain was still active so we chose to get a refund. A refund wasn't available since it was through groupon so i disputed with my bank. The business owner then told the bank that we had completed a ride with them which was a lie. They also tell you, you HAVE to be there 15 minutes before or you won't be allowed to ride since they have to teach you how to be on the horse and sign paper work by when you get there you will be waiting for around 40 minutes for the ride that was scheduled before yours to be finished and there will be no one on sight to tell you what is happening.

This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite courses in Arizona…read more The course is absolutely beautiful -- incredible desert views, huge elevation changes, and some seriously memorable holes. It's challenging too. Quintero has a way of giving you an amazing view from the tee box right before you launch a perfectly good golf ball into the desert. What really impressed us was the service. Everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely seemed happy to have us there. For a course this nice, the whole place is surprisingly laid-back and unpretentious. No stuffy country-club vibe at all -- just great people and a really relaxed atmosphere. We came out for a birthday round, laughed a lot, hit a few great shots and several that will never be spoken of again. Beautiful course, awesome staff and just a great overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

Great workout with 360 views at the top and lush cactus. This hike is 2 miles each way and is very…read moregradual for the first mile as it winds up and down the desert and through a few washes. There were no wildflowers despite it being late March with some rain the week prior, but there were seas of teddy bear cholla, ocotillos that were starting to sprout their showy red blooms, and healthy saguaros. I think this would be fantastic in mid April when the cactus flower. The upper half of the hike is the thigh burner as you pick your way up the rocky, steep slope. Good hiking boots are required to keep your grip, especially on the way down. If you normally hike with poles, you will find that they are not useful in the upper half due to the rocks and narrow path, also I often use my hands to assist with climbing the rocks. Gloves are helpful for keeping your hands safe and improving your grip, though not necessary. The views at the saddle are endless. If you want to go to the top of the peak, be ware as it is treacherous.

There was a lot left to be desired with this experience…read more We arrived for our 8:00 AM reservation, and it was pretty clear the staff had also barely just arrived. Our boat wasn't ready, and we didn't get launched until after 8:30 AM. The young guy helping us was nice enough, but he could really benefit from moving with a little more purpose. He still had to clean the boat, grab the safety flag, and initially told us he couldn't technically launch us because he had only worked there for a month and a half... even though he ended up launching us anyway. At one point, there were three deckhands working on tying up one floatie for another reservation while we were still waiting. Have we heard of delegating tasks? The boat itself was also disappointing because it was not the boat shown in the photos online. I reserved the Canyon Comforter based on the photos, so that was frustrating. Not having the lounger and table was disappointing and the cushions were torn up. I even took a second look to see if they were just using stock photos, but each boat listing appears to have different photos, so it didn't seem like a generic image situation. To be fair, the safety instructions were solid, and the kid explained things well. However, he talked about the anchor multiple times, and then when we were finally ready to anchor, there was no anchor on the boat. Luckily, it was a calm day and we found a cove without much wake, otherwise that would have been extremely frustrating. When I told the woman up front about the missing anchor after we got back, she said the person who gave us the safety information should have taken a photo before launching us. So I guess after a month and a half of working there, that part still hasn't made it into the training manual. Thankfully, the boat ride itself was smooth, and we still had a wonderful Father's Day with the family. But between the late launch, the boat not matching the photos, missing equipment, and general lack of organization, this experience was definitely not worth the cost.

The Pontoon Boat we rented was in terrible shape beat up all over. Big safety risk in the front and…read moreback gates had the stop missing , doors swung open and closed . Would be very dangerous if you had small children in the boat. I'm guessing that this boat was at least 10 years old.
