We ventured on the rocky, bumpy trail called "Lil Outlaw". Ian most expertly managed our Jeep, sharing with us Sedona's history, culture, scenic points incl. canyons, climate influenced rock formations and geological makeup of this amazing terrain. We brought bottles of water and chicken salad tortilla wraps (homemade by The Lass and GranTyke; The Lad acted as a culinary consultant..:) This was mid level tour which included a few mild drops and plenty of bumpy off-road riding. This was a very enjoyable experience we will cherish. Thank You Ian!! A MUST TO DO IN SEDONA! This would be the third time visiting Sedona in the past three years. Before we had our personal vehicle, we used to go off-road to the trailhead for the Devil's Bridge Trail. However, as the driver, we don't normally get to enjoy the scenic views like our passengers can. Today, we had the pleasure of riding with Lee. SHE IS AMAZING!!! Lee was full of energy and had a lot of knowledge of Sedona, its landscape, and G-wiz. Definitely made this private tour an awesome event this Christmas vacation for our family. At our party were just two adults with one three-year-old. Lee wanted to ensure that we had the proper booster seat or child car seat that would work best for our son. This tour that we had gone on was the Red Rock West. She did brief me that a portion of the trail would be the same route that I had taken a few years back when we drove to the Devil's Bridge Trailhead. I was honestly fine with it, like how I mentioned that I drove that trail before. This time, being the passenger princess, it was nice to actually learn more about Sedona and its beauty. A big benefit was that I could fully enjoy the roller coaster without strategizing my lines going over this dirt road. During this trail, we did have a part where we got gotten of the Jeep and walked around, even exploring the preserved log cabin from the first pioneer of Sedona. As a bumpy-rated trail, it had enough bumps, challenging climbs/descents, and beautiful scenery to keep all parties happy. We are definitely looking forward to going back next time to go on another tour! Thank you, Sedona Offroad Adventures, and especially Lee, for this memorable trip! We had such an amazing time for this family adventure. We specifically chose a mild off-roading tour since we had two little ones and my mom who is an older. Everyone had such a great time. Carson was our tour guide and gave us some fun facts and made it fun for everyone. I love the fact that we had the hummer all to ourselves although it seats 12 and we were a party of 7. Check in process was super easy and your started and ended as advertised. The tour takes you on a mild off road path, gets you close to the red rocks and has one stop for a cool picture with a beautiful view. The tour was SO much fun! Shep was our driver and absolutely amazing - knowledgeable, friendly, and an experienced driver (which is needed on the roads we took). Be aware that you will be bounced around a ton and probably think you'll tip over in the jeep...but you're safe. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and there's so much history about the area to learn. We went on the 10:30am tour (just my husband and me), and it was great weather and not too crowded. We were given recommendations on where to go on Sedona after the tour, and we made the most of our afternoon via those recommendations even after the tour ended. Highly recommend! read more

My daughter and 2 grandkids came to visit me in Sun City AZ. We decided to spend a few days in Sedona. Always hearing about 'the other 'Jeep tour' outfit, we decided to go with the lesser commercial option and could not be more impressed. This outfit has been in business since the 1940's (the original) and used to do desert adventures on horseback. I will always support 'homegrown roots' whenever possible. My wife and kids just walked into Sedona Offroad Adventures this morning and had an amazing offroad Jeep tour today! We have been to Sedona a dozen times, but have never done one of the famous Jeep tours. We decided to take advantage of a Friday off and luckily there was availability that same morning. The staff is super friendly. There are a few different tour options, but we decided to take the Diamondback Gulch tour which is only available through this company. Pink Jeep Tours, the other big your company in town, has exclusive this of Broken Arrow trail, but my wife and I have already hiked that a few years ago. I'm really happy with the trail/tour we chose, because it was much more of an expedition of the whole area. All-in-all the tour was over 2 hours out on some extremely steep and rocky trails. Joe, our amazing tour guide was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well as many of the native tribes and their customs from when they used to inhabit theses lands. Besides his skill in navigating the impossible terrain, Joe took some amazing photos of my family that we'll cherish forever. Highly recommend doing a Jeep tour at least once. The Diamondback Gulch trail in particular is a great tour that is almost like a 2 hour roller-coaster ride. Almost the whole trail is rugged, Rocky and bouncy. Everyone was giggling and bouncing around the whole time. A few stops for bathroom breaks, photos and rest from the bouncing were perfect. For those of us who hike quite a bit and have seen all the majestic rock formation sites of Sedona from hiking trails, this was a great detour from those views to appreciate the history and surrounding desert. read more

We just had such an incredible time with Roy at Sedona Offroad adventures. I am so happy they were able to accommodated our last minute decision to do a tour. Not only was the tour beautiful and a blast, but we learned so much about Sedona, the geological history and science (animal and plant species) of the area. We brought our 4 and 7 year old children and they were able to both explain what they found most interesting about the tour. Now that I'm (hopefully a retired) homeschooling expert after the last 3 months J/k hands on learning/experiences really are so much better. BEST guided tour EVER! Our trip was the 1 1/2hr through the mountains of Sedona. Just beautiful. Duke, our guide, WAS THE KING! He brilliantly mixed humor and history all while expertly driving the hummvee. His extensive knowledge of the area history was added to his deep understanding of the geotechnical aspects of the formations. Clearly showing was his love of the job and people. Totally impulsive decision but turned out to be one of the best things we ever did in Sedona. We were hanging out at the courtyard between the shops to take a break from the heat & saw the sign for the sunset offroad tours. Immediately inquired and next thing I knew we were on the next tour out. We picked the Cliffhanger because they said it's more scenic yet the bumpiest... yep, enjoyed every single bit of that tour. We were tipped to sit towards the back of the Hummer for the ultimate off road experience. So much ouch but so much fun. Our tour guide Roman was very thorough & knowledgeable. Some flora & fauna lessons along the way... & a whole lot of fun facts. We went all the way to the Colorado Plateau & back. Pointing us towards the unique rock formations and their coined names. It was a beautiful sunset and it was the perfect time to go since the heat wasn't bad anymore. Lesson learned when offroading? Wear a heavy impact sports bra & something to cover your nose and mouth cause I was inhaling & swallowing sedona dirt for miles. That's all. LOL. read more

My family and I booked the Jeep eater tour and we were not disappointed. Bobby was an outstanding guide and driver and made the trip enjoyable. We were able to see wild life in multiple areas and each time we would stop and learn something new. The Hummer we rode in was a fantastic experience. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because when we called to get info they told us one time, but when we called back to book they told us a different time. So we showed up thinking it was the most recent time they had told us and the tour was not leaving at that time. Other than the lack of a concrete start time this tour was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone (who can withstand a trail heavy ride). read more

We found this tour place while walking around. We were planning on going with a "Pink Jeep Tour" but decided to check this place out instead. Boy am I glad we stumbled upon this place. It ended up being a ton of fun and well worth the time and money. We opted for the Colorado Plateau Ascent; two types of tours were offered: the 1.5 hour and the 2 hour. Both go on the same trail but the longer tour goes up a little higher. The 2 hour tour was unavailable due to maintenance or issues with the road, unfortunately, so we opted for the 1.5 hour tour. It was $55 per person, cheaper than their competitors. If you go on their website, they have web specials. As for the tour, it was so much fun. Our driver and guide's name is Bobby. He is hilarious, helpful, and really went out of his way to give us a great experience. He took a bunch of photos for us and did a decent job! He drove us around on a Hummer...I never fully appreciated the Hummer until that day. The vehicle was amazing! It was able to handle all the bumps and rocks easily. It did things I never knew a vehicle could do. We traveled much quicker than other vehicles on the same road. The vehicle felt stable, and it was spacious. It had a canopy on top so it shielded us from the sun. I felt completely safe the whole time. Facts I was told are unique about this company (but haven't taken time to verify): -It's the only company in Sedona that offers Hummer tours. FYI, they do offer tours on Jeeps too. -This company is one of the last locally owned tour company. More reason to go with this company! read more

I happened to stumble into Sedona on a road trip with my mother. We had no plans, walked by Offroad Adventures and said "why not"! We chose the Cliffhanger tour and it's WORTH IT! So much fun! Our tour guide, Duke, was by far one of the best things about the whole thing. Fun, engaging, informative and a blast to be around. My mother and I were giggling the entire time as we drove through the rough terrain. There are definitely some moments where I was holding my breath but never felt unsafe. Horrible, terrifying, experience. I have never written a review but felt the need to write this one. The tour guide Brandyn, otherwise known as "Archangel," was our tour guide for our small group of college aged girls, on March 28, 2023. We all felt very unsafe for most of the ride, and not because of the jeep's off-roading. Archangel continuously preached about his spiritual views which were homophobic, sexist, and graphic. He used slurs, degraded women by discussing their 'societal roles,' and even used spirituality in way to seemingly justify pedophilia (just a few of the many views he was sharing loudly on his headset). It was disappointing since we were looking forward to enjoying our trip to Sedona from California and were really looking forward to actually enjoying the tour and the nature around us. Our tour guide used the time to instead discuss his political and spiritual thoughts while making us very uncomfortable. We went into the experience with an open mind, but Archangel did not provide much of a choice in what we could listen to for the entire three hours from the beginning of the tour. The behavior and views he exhibited were not only inappropriate but also unacceptable for a tour guide or any professional in a customer service role. I am sharing this to hold service providers accountable for providing safe, respectful, and enjoyable experiences, in hopes that change happens. read more

Our family came out to visit Sedona and the Grand Canyon from the east coast. We signed up for the hummer tour with Chris which was amazing. The little ones sat in the back so they could bounce around while I stayed up front where it was comfortable . The views were awesome and weather was great. We thought the Hummer ride would be cool, big mistake. They crammed seats in this thing and there's no support. Took the 2-hour option and we could barely walk afterwards. My back hurt, so I can only imagine what my mom felt. My wife was stuck behind the driver and she's 5' 10'' and basically had her knees in her stomach. The tour guide was nice, but really hold and struggled to get in/out of the truck. I don't know how he deals with the torturous ride day in and day out. And, honestly, it wasn't worth the money. The basically drive you up the mountain everyone drives up and then drive you back down. Whoopie. You can drive up the back way from the freeway in a regular car apparently. I suggest you do that. Had no problem with the customer service, but the Hummer smelled like diesel and oil the whole trip which 1. gave me flashbacks of the Marine Corps and 2. gave me a headache to go along with my back pain. read more

We arrived a bit early and they let us get on a tour that left an hour before ours. We opted for the Hummer experience with the combination of city sightseeing and off-road tour. Stewart was our driver for the tour and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the tour, wildlife, and history of Sedona. The experience was unlike anything we had seen before and we were glad we chose them over their Pink competitors. Our only regret was that we didn't pick the longer two hour tour or the more off-road tour. We had such a great time. We had a trip planned for a Saturday. We received a call that due to the rain it would be to muddy and had move to Sunday. The only problem for us was we had no doggy daycare for our German Shepard on Sunday. But...not a problem, they let us bring her. Let's just say she survived it. We loved it! Our guide, Joshua was fantastic! Very experienced with off roading. (We think he even liked our dog). He was a wealth of knowledge about the area and the sport. We chose this tour because we wanted to be forward facing which your are in the hummers. Joshua chose the trail that wouldn't be extreme because of our dog. It was plenty bumpy which was what we wanted, just a little easier on our dog. Splashing through the mud puddles was great! There was snow the higher up we went. It was cold but we were properly dressed. We highly recommend this company. Their customer service is excellent. Easy to speak with someone and easy to book.
