Anyone who is serious about making a spiritual connection to Sedona must book a session with Clint Frakes of Sedona Sacred Earth. Clint is a special soul, a fountain of historical, scientific and metaphysical information. My partner and I came to Sedona at the recommendation of friends who knew of the special atmosphere that exists in and around Sedona. We've experienced similar connections in our travels around the world (Hawaii, India, Africa), and we knew that the regular tourist offerings wouldn't get us where we wanted to be. Fortunately, Sedona Sacred Earth came up in a TripAdvisor search. We were not disappointed. We booked Clint for a half day tour of Sedona and then a full-day to the Grand Canyon. Clint spent a good deal of time with us to understand what we were seeking, and he tailored our tour to meet our exact needs. We started at the Buddhist stupa, which he knows well. He gave us a thorough grounding in the efforts that led to the stupa's creation, as well as helpful guidance on connecting to the stupa and the beautiful landscape around it. Clint then took us to a number of sights in Sedona that were profoundly beautiful and historic. As someone who has studied Native American traditions myself, I was impressed with his encyclopedic knowledge of the tribes that have called this place home. I was dealing with a back injury and wasn't able to move around as much as I would have liked, and Clint was able to tailor our trip so that I was not stressed. Still, we managed to visit sites that were off the well-beaten tourist pathways, and we felt that we truly "saw" Sedona as it deserves to be experienced. We were both curious about the famous vortexes, and Clint made sure we had a direct experience with two of them. These are not the whirling time warps that are sometimes described by the New Age tour guides. Rather, they are subtle fields of energy that can inspire our thinking and feeling when we are fully prepared to meet them. Clint invited us to spend time on the cliffs opposite Cathedral Rock, sitting in quiet meditation and enjoying the beauty of nature around us. This experience shaped our understanding of what a vortex is -- healing and beautiful. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I have Clint to thank for it. There's no way I would have been able to experience the true beauty of Sedona if I were sitting in one of those pink jeeps that seem to capture so many of the tourists in town. Our next day with Clint was equally amazing -- the Grand Canyon from the perspective of a gentle soul who knows it intimately. I laughed a few times as Clint would head toward a tourist spot and then veer off toward a location that nobody else knew about. We saw the majesty of the Grand Canyon from the most striking vistas. To be honest, I wasn't all that excited about seeing the Canyon at first. My travel partner wanted to see it, so I went along. Clint brought my understanding and appreciation of the Canyon - it's geology, history, and sacred significance - to a whole new level. I'm a jaded New Yorker who thinks he's seen everything, and I have to say I was blown away. Traveling with Clint as your guide is like being with a family member who knows everything about his hometown. You end up feeling you know him as well as you know the place, and you're so glad you're related! We both feel that we have a new friend in Clint, and we'll definitely be back for more. I have been a spiritual medium near Bensalem PA for about 8 years now and a Myofascial Release Therapist for 3. Meaningful, Personalized Vow Renewal in Sedona My husband and I first met Clint in the Fall of 2021 to take part in a grief retreat following a series of painful losses in our lives. While one never "gets over" the type of loss we've had, the experience in Sedona at that time started our process of healing, moving through the pain in a different way. It launched a new approach in how I view life and what we wanted for ourselves. One big thing for us was wanting to finally have a ceremony to celebrate our union. We married as 23-year-olds preceding a new military assignment across the country, and never had an actual wedding with our loved ones present. My partner and I, along with a friend from Canada recently spent a day with Clint. This was special, I wanted my friend to experience the magic of Sedona as it was her first visit. My partner and I spend a day with Clint in 2018 and were so impressed by his knowledge of the area, his deep understanding of indigenous cultures and the sacredness of this incredible area. We knew that he would provide us once again with an unforgettable experience. It had been almost 3 years since I had last visited Sedona and I could not believe how busy the town is now. the traffic and popular hiking trails are beyond busy so it is difficult to find a quiet place to connect to the energy of the area. Clint took us first to a beautiful location on the outskirts of town with sweeping views and explained the importance of the land to the indigenous people. He then gave us time for our own reflection in the quiet and peace and solitude. We then hiked to Oak Creek and he explained the symbolism of the water and we again marveled at the beauty and enjoyed the solitude. Afterwards we drove to the Stupa and hiked to Chimney Rock. On our way back to the car we stopped at the Medicine Wheel which Clint explained. As he started ceremony in the Medicine Wheel, people walking by would stop and watch. Some walked on but 4 people lingered and Clint invited them into the Medicine Wheel with us. What a wonderful experience...4 young people...one couple and a young man and a young woman joined us. They didn't know each other and we didn't know them. They participated and shared with us...it truly was a magical experience. It was such a good reminder how we are all connected to each other and nature. Clint is familiar with every nook and cranny of Sedona. We recently visited Sedona and were lucky enough to have encountered Clint Frakes, of Sedona Sacred Earth. In our total unfamiliarity with the area, we were unable to articulate exactly what we wanted but when we met, after a brief conversation, Clint was able to discern exactly what our itinerary should be. It could not have been a better day. He was totally present during his time with us. He was able to introduce us to the land, the plants and the history of the region. Our tour was truly customized for our interests, rather than being a privately guided visit on a pre-set itinerary. Clint was not only professional, he was intuitive, perceptive and really likeable. We felt like we had known him for a long time. The fees for his tours or healing retreats are more than reasonable when compared to the rates of any other consultant in any other field, with a Ph.D., and comparable years of experience. Before we met him, I noticed in many reviews that people mentioned how experiencing his tour was life altering. Being somewhat of a skeptic, having travelled all around the world, and being a grumpy Anishinaabe grandmother, I thought that might be hyperbole, but in retrospect, it could not be more true. Our time spent with Clint had a quality to it that is difficult to describe. We didn't just look at sites, we connected and became part of them. He also gave us detailed directions to other places we didn't have time to visit together, and told us their stories so we could really understand what we were seeing in the context of topography, flora, fauna and the living history of the area. My grandparents and I took Clint's Sedona Sacred Earth retreat in early February. A week prior to traveling down to Arizona, I spoke with Clint on the phone so we could introduce ourselves and discuss what led me to booking the retreat, and some basics about what the day would look like. I had the pleasure of spending a 5 day retreat with Clint in November 2016 and I must say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I had such an incredible 5 day journey with Sedona Sacred Earth. I felt compelled to visit the area but didn't know what exactly I was looking for. I knew I needed someone who knew the area and stumbled across Sedona Sacred Earth. From my first phone call with Clint Frakes explaining what I was wanting to get out of the experience, I felt like I was making the right choice. It just felt right. We connected with Clint for two purposes, first a group Journey and second to officiate my daughter's wedding. For our group of 17, Clint assembled a wonderful team of guides for our Journey. Every single one of us had a wonderful, personal experience! As an officiant, Clint was dedicated, compassionate, honorable and authentic. On a pre-wedding trip, he met with us to go over details and look at possible wedding venues, even offering his own property as a back up plan. Once in Sedona, he offered his services and support for anything we might need. He created sacred space, by building a medicine wheel just for the ceremony, which was personal, intimate and magical, full of meaning and honored the requests of the bride and groom. I had the pleasure and honor of having clint officiate my wedding and lead my husband and I with 30 of our loved ones on a land journey. He brought his associates Taylor and Todd who were both extremely knowledgeable and wonderful guides and teachers to our group. I have been on a healing journey for a few months, and had been feeling an odd call to the red rocks of Arizona. I had no idea what was drawing me so strongly to Sedona, but finally acted on the call and booked a last minute trip. I have been saying many prayers to God to put people in my path that can help with my healing, and I feel like God's own hand guided me right to Clint. I learned more in the few hours that I spent with him than I have in many years combined. He is the same age as me, but an old soul, that holds hundreds of years of tradition that has been passed down to him, with knowledge and healing ceremonies, that are only now known to few. I left with more peace in my soul than then I have felt in my life. I am beyond grateful for his advice, and healing prayers. My wife and I stumbled upon Clint and Sedona Sacred Earth while researching what we wanted to do in Sedona and the review were too good for us not to book a journey. Arranging a date, time, and meeting place with Clint was extremely easy. We met outside of a coffee shop and immediately felt comfortable setting out with him. On our drive out to our first location, Clint took time to really get to know us on a personal level. He didn't just ask what we wanted to see, but instead asked us all about our lives, what we liked about them, what we wanted to change about them, what we were looking to gain from this experience. Best part of my trip with spiritual, intuitive, knowledgeable, personable guide! One of my best decisions in life has been booking Clint as a tour guide for several days while in Sedona and the Grand Canyon!! He has intrinsic knowledge of the land and its history. I spent three days with Clint. I wish it could have been more. The connection started well before I arrived in Sedona. Clint made time to understand my background and intentions. He listened, and helped me prepare for a trip I was at times feeling daunted by. The significance of those initial conversations meant that when I met Clint, there was a strong sense of trust and ease that I'd usually associate with meeting a longtime friend. We visited places where Clint's songs and prayers resonated, and where I could be still, offload effortlessly, state intentions, pray, and just be. I bathed in pristine waters which had a sense of paradise about them. He gave me precious time alone in places of power and 'held space' for me whilst remaining nearby. The last moments of my time on the land with Clint were spent on a hill at sunset, watching a thunderstorm roll in with lightning bouncing of the red rocks.
