    Morning sunup tour!
    Benjamin B.

The best Jeep experience in Sedona with the knowledgeable guide! They know every inch of the the trails, and they know all about the geology, the wildlife the trees, and all the local Sedona history! Early morning tour was great in the summer. It's still cool out in the morning. Thank You!

Thank you to Eric for being a wonderful guide and for sharing your love for and knowledge of Sedona!

Highly reccomend a private jeep tour for any Sedona trip! We chose the two our private Li'l Rattler tour and our guide, Colorado Dave was totally awesome! He is very knowledgeable about Sedona and all of its flora and fauna. Trip was not too bumpy- just enough action to take in the stunning mountain views and breathtaking scenery.

    Lil' rattler tour

We went on the Lil' Rattler tour this morning with Michael and had a blast! We are so glad we chose this company over the others. We were able to have a more personal experience with our guide and he catered our tour to our family's needs and specific interests. All three of our kids have very different personalities and rarely agree on anything but they all agreed they had a blast on our adventure and all want to do it again! Thank you Michael for an incredible experience!

We participated in a 2.5 hour private Jeep tour with tour guide CD (Colorado Dave), it was incredible. CD has a great knowledge base to share, we learned history, native plant medicinal uses, and even which homes are owned by celebrities. The Diamondback Gulch tour was exciting, informative and fun. It is extremely rough terrain, choose a different tour if you like a smooth ride. We loved the excitement of this tour and CD made it amazing.

#ThankfulThursday I am truly thankful for this experience and memories made on this Jeep tour we took in October with my family. We were in AZ for a celebration of life, so we wanted to take a day to have family fun. It was a perfect experience for a group of four aging from 10 years old - 70 touring the beautiful Red Rocks. I can't say enough good things about our experienced guide, Michael G. He knew the trails, history, floral, fauna, ecology, and everything in-between. He accommodated my senior citizen mother in/out of the jeep and was a superb guide. I would highly recommend him, if you are able to pick. The best thing about this tour is that every one is private, unlike other services in the area. A Day in the West is one of the original Jeep tour companies, and it shows by the services they provide. We took the Red Rock tour, which is the mild tour, which is one of the most popular. Just call and ask what they recommend. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy and have fun!

What a fun morning trip! Went early to avoid heat and it was perfect! Ann was our guide and she was friendly and informative. We did the lil outlaw and was perfect! Not too much bumpy but nice. We had our dog with us and he did well. Views were beautiful!

    Sedona desert

What an amazing and informative lil rattler tour. Richard, our guide, was exceptional in all the best possible ways. We learned about all of the plant life in the desert, animals that live there, backstory of Sedona itself and the desert rock formations. Richard is an amazing photographer as well...took some amazing photos for us and even taught me a cool illusion trick. On our ride back down we got the opportunity to see so many animals. We saw about eight burro deer, jack rabbits, quails, bats, lizards, and a couple vultures. We will definitely be looking back on this tour and the great memories made forever. Shout out to Jodi!

You know you're in for a good time if Lenny's your guide!

Our tour with Lenny was a highlight of our trip to Sedona! If you're a first-timer in Sedona, give this place a few hours of your time in exchange for an unforgettable experience. Check-in is quick and easy inside the main office, where you meet your tour guide and head straight to their fleet. From there, you're off to one of a handful of routes the company offers. We chose the Diamondback Gulch Jeep Tour, which is marketed as "rugged" and "extreme"--and they weren't lying. We were laughing along the entire bumpy ride as Lenny showed us the best parts of Sedona while rattling off fun facts about the town and its incredible ecosystem. He shared a few must-see local watering holes with us, and ended the tour with a perfect view of a magnificent sunset. Needless to say, the views from the top of the gulch were nothing short of breathtaking. We're so thrilled that we wound up with such a fun and knowledgeable guide. Thanks for a memorable experience!

My wife, In-Laws, and I had an astronomically great time on our Jeep tour with A Day In The West! We opted for the Little Rattler tour/trail route which took us deep in the desert with jaw-dropping views and some light 4-wheeling/crawling. What truly made the experience, though, was our guide Piper. As an Arizona native of over 40 years, his knowledge was second to none! We learned so many neat pieces of information and facts about the surrounding rock formations, native plants, animal species, former Native American tribes in the area, and so much more. On top of it, Piper was funny and energetic, making the ride that much more enjoyable, and very outgoing ensuring we got a great group picture for a Holiday card. I speak for all of us when I say to book your Sedona Jeep tour with A Day In The West and to specifically ask for Piper as your guide!

My family of six booked a two hour jeep tour with this business. They called to let us know the planned route was too unsafe due to recent snow & rain, but they had an alternate location we could ride. We went for it. Our tour started timely at 3:30 pm. It was a perfect time to ride because lighting was incredible. We caught the sunset, too. Our guide Firefox was informative, funny and gracious. My four teen kids, husband and I had a ball! Lots of laughter. I recommend dress warm if doing this tour during winter. If it is muddy, your shoes can get dirty. We event through Boynton Canyon. I highly recommend this tour! https://www.adayinthewest.com/jeep-tours/

Nolan our excellent driver and guide!

We had a great time on the "A Day in the West Jeep Tour " . I don't use Groupons very often but we saved a lot but book your trip a week out or prices jump quickly. We did the Rattlesnake Gulch tour which is one of their more aggressive Jeep tours with lots of steep climbs and descents which the kids love. I would not recommend this specific trip for older people that don't like to get bounced all over the place. Middle school boys and teenagers love it. Nolan our guide was a hoot, great driver, explained the local history and plant life, and is a Star Wars fan also. The kids spent more time testing his Star Wars knowledge .

On the trail - fantastic views!

I booked a ride with my mother in law, who had no riding experience. Saara was very attentive with her to ensure she had the proper riding form and felt safe in the saddle. By the end, she was a completely different rider with Saara's help. I grew up riding, so Saara let me take the lead for much of the trail and we went at the pace we dictated. She was taking photos of us throughout and send them promptly at the end of the ride. The trails she selects have magnificent views, and you truly get to ride--not like sitting in a horse caravan with a line of riders at the big riding places. Her horses are clearly happy and well cared for, and they are alert and fun to ride. Again, nothing like the big places with worn down, overworked horses that hate what they're doing day in and day out. This is by far the best riding experience you can pick in Sedona for groups of four or less.

My daughter rode Easy, and he behaved perfectly. I rode Doodlebug and she was such a sweetheart. The trail was absolutely gorgeous with majestic views, red rocks, dips and inclines. It was just the right amount of challenge - keeping riders and horses engaged in the experience. Saara was so easy to talk to, and it felt like riding with a old friend even though we had only just met. Not only was she a fabulous guide and teacher, she also took terrific photos that we will cherish forever. I will ride with Saara again, and I hope that anyone looking for a truly unique and special Sedona experience will give her a call. An afternoon with Saara and her horses is worth every penny and then some. In fact, I'd say the afternoon was priceless.

Our 7-year-old daughter was very nervous heading into the ride - she had never ridden solo before and Dean was so thoughtful and warm with her from the very start. He took his time getting her comfortable and paired her with Sargent, the slowest and steadiest horse on the ranch. Dean had her ride directly behind him on a lead rope so she felt confident and secure for the ride (and honestly, so did me her mom!). It was also our 10-year-old daughter first time riding, and Dean made it so easy and fun for her - she took to it naturally and was grinning ear to ear the entire trail. He struck the perfect balance of keeping both girls safe while letting them feel like real cowgirls for the day! And the views were absolutely breathtaking! The scenery along the trail was stunning from start to finish and made the whole experience feel magical. It was a truly wonderful ride and we will absolutely be coming back. This trail is short and sweet, I believe it's less than a mile from beginning to the end and then of course you have to hike back to your car. At the end, yes there are some rocks that you can climb up and if you do, you will be greatly rewarded! You certainly don't have to go to the top and I understand it gets very challenging so it's up to you. I only went up a little bit that I felt comfortable, but was still able to get some of the best views I saw during my entire trip and Sedona! I do recommend trying to go a little ways up. You certainly don't have to go further than you're comfortable. Well, let's talk about the actual trail, certainly the best, well marked trail I saw during my trip. Also, what's face it? It's an easy trail, which is awesome because you can just enjoy all the breathtaking views of Faye Canyon and will not need to worry and you could bring family members along young and old. You can knock this hike out in about an hour to an hour and a half and some of the best views I saw in Sedona I saw during this hike. But to be clear, there's some challenging parts if you wish to take them for one thing, there's a large pile of boulders and rocks at the end of the trail, which I mentioned before, but you can climb up those to a height that you feel comfortable and you will be rewarded with some of the best views that you will see during your trip. There is also a side trail halfway through the trail that goes off to an arch. I've read up about this and saw some videos and it looks very challenging and I would do that if you're an experienced hiker and you feel comfortable, I passed on that, but I was very satisfied with the views I got during the easy trail and a little bit of the rocks at the end. The parking lot is huge with a bathroom. I'm really not sure what else you can do to make this trail a great experience! Highly recommended for beginners and experts! Don't miss it, and this is the only trail in Sedona where I felt comfortable, not using an app like all trails, the trail is so clearly marked plus you're in a canyon so kind of impossible to get lost.
