I made a reservation for a 2 hour tour as this was my first time in Sedona. Absolutely loved it. Lisa was our driver on an open -air van. She asked us early on what we were interested in learning. I asked for history. She gave us the history and more of the locations we visited. We hit the airport vista outlook, most of our time was spent at the stupas, and a view of the red rocks including the cathedral and 3 sisters. I was pleased. My parents and I booked the 5 hour 1/2 day tour. John was our tour guide and had a wealth of information. He clued us in on all of Sedonas rich history. It was very interesting. Ask him about UFOs, Bigfoot and Noahs Ark floods. He has a lot to tell. The open air vans seated 3 people per row. The tour takes you through the back roads. It stops at a few spots including a old church, vortex area, a few look out spots. For lunch it stops at the uptown area. Plenty of time to eat and check out the shops. Our only hiccup was SS tours email confirmation sent us to their old address down the street. The website also had wrong addess. We had to google the new Dragons Den. Luckily we made it. The tours now pick up at the new Dragons Den. Its next to a Sushi spot and on same side of the street of Ace hardware. Parking is tight. Ask if the tour can pick you up at your hotel. Fun times. Be very careful if you are tall. When exiting the back of the building to board the vans going down the steps my dad bumped the top of his head on the low beam. Bring a fully charged phone, binos and be ready for fun. read more

We loved this quaint bus that took us to scenic overlooks and parks around Sedona! We had a guide named Ray who was friendly, knowledgeable, carrying and personable! He gave us tidbits of information that was informative and fun facts we wouldn't have otherwise known. Ray gave us time to do a little exploring at each stop and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. He even gave us insider tips on restaurants and where to watch the sunset... the places we saw were exquisitely beautiful and the tour showed down and even stopped so we could take in the breathtaking beauty and snap some photos as well. read more

I would highly recommend Scenic Sedona Tours especially for going up to the Grand Canyon. Our driver and Tour Guide was Avery and he was great. Very patient, and he fielded lots of questions with ease. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We learned so much about the native tribes who occupied each area we passed through en route to and back from the Grand Canyon. He also told us the history of the settlers who basically took the land from the indigenous tribes who had occupied the land for thousands of years. He also told us about the various tribe names and what they translated to. They smartly entered the National Park through the east gate, with only a couple cars in line. The SST group pays for each passenger entering the park and our group had 8 people, 4 senior citizens, three 50 somethings and a young teenager. Avery stopped at a number of sites and gave us time to walk around and see the sights. We were there on December 29th, 2025 and it was very blustery and cold walking about but still spectacular in the sun! Sedona Scenic tourism The tour was informative and our tour guide Zach was excellent. Saw quite a few sites. The only big draw back was the actual vehicle. They are open to the elements and covered at night by tarps. That means they get wet. Our seats were soaked when we went on the tour. They were also torn, chewed up and uncomfortable. If they want to be the top ones, invest on better seats. At least cumin so they do not soak the rain and transfer T to our pants when we sit down. It soaked thru 2 blankets. read more

Took the Sedona Highlights tour yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed Mr Clay's commentary. Visited the Chapel and the Tibetan monument as side trips which were very interesting and the Chapel provided amazing views. Clay's geological history of Sedona was also a highlight. read more

This tour has infinite value!!! NOT recommended for people who have trouble on uneven surfaces, getting on and off a bus or need a cane or walker. Noah, our guide was Sensational! Knew the area like the back of his hand, wasn't asked anything he didn't know; a veritable wealth of information on the city of Sedona, plant and wildlife, local culture, and of course humor throughout your day. Excellent opportunity to see a spectacular church built into the rock, Buddhist temple/park, excellent shopping center, another shop center with restaurants for lunch and multiple stunning vistas and rock formations that just take your breath away! Incredibly convenient since Noah does all the driving, tells you when and where to look, a plethora of great advice given for food, trails and off roading. Additionally, parks as close as humanly possible to each tourist area to minimize the wear and tear on travelers. We got to experience Sedona during our first ever visit to Arizona in May 2024. My brother and SIL booked this tour and it was hands down THE BEST tour we've ever been on. Our tour guide was CAIN (sp?) who shared an abundance of history, geology, sociology, economy, etc. of Sedona. He had such a great mellow personality and led a fun, relaxing and memorable tour for us. Also, the audio system on the tour van was top notch, so we could hear what he was teaching us very well! The 2 hour tour was good. We saw all the highlights and didn't have to drive ourselves. As the driver, I can't enjoy the beauty so I prefer to leave the driving to someone else. What's important to note that this tour is located in a gift shop called The Dragon's Den which is part of a small shopping plaza with a myriad of free parking. There's two options: a 5.5 hour tour with 6 stops or a 2 hour tour with 2 stops. The long tours only start at 10:00am and the 2 hour tours have several options during the day. Our entire tour took 5 hours and 10 minutes. The open air vehicles are actually located in the dumpster alley behind the shopping/food stores of the plaza. After tax and tip, the 5 hour tour cost me $120 per person I paid for. Five of the stops allow you to explore for 20-40 minutes and the 4th stop, we had 80 minutes to get lunch at Uptown. What is super cool is that we all get 15% discount coupons for which is good for one of 4 restaurants. The 6 stops are as follows: 1) Chapel of the Holy Cross 2) Tlaquepaque Arts Village 3) Sedona Airport Overlook 4) Uptown Sedona (you go out and buy your own lunch) 5) Vortex @ Rachel's Knoll 6) Amitahbha Stupa & Peace Park In addition to this, our amiable tour guide Avery was always talking about the sites and educating us on things to look out for while driving. We also made brief stops at some places such as seeing a Merlin statue, the graves of the founders of Sedona, and a statue of the woman whom Sedona was named after. I made the mistake of wearing shorts as I thought it'd be warm but it was cold (since it was an open air vehicle) for half the trip and the car was quite wet. The open car seats 9 passengers and ample room to be comfortable. What's nice is that this place comes equipped with a lot of small blankets to prevent you from sitting on wet seats. Also note that bottled water is provided. What I really liked was that we went to fairly crowded places and being part of this tour meant that I didn't have to worry about parking and parking fees. Sedona is a picturesque city and this tour shows a lot of nice spots. read more

And the stops were amazing, beautiful and full of meaning. He gave us great background and history of the area. Just remember December can be cold so bundle up. They provided warm blankets in the open air van. This is the only part of our Sedona visit this year that was a big disappointment. Reviewers who mentioned it was over-priced are absolutely correct. Those who mentioned that the stops (including a very long one at a religious site) are excessive are also right. They call it a two hour tour, but the van is in motion less than 90 minutes, at best. But wait, as you get close to the end of the ride, the driver/guide launches into a pitch about everyone giving him a 20% tip! Whoa! 20% of an inflated price? For what they charge, and the age of the vans they use (very old), the owner should be paying drivers handsomely. Save yourself a lot of time and a lot of money. See the sites yourself - maps in the Sedona Chamber of Commerce (in the uptown area) are free and excellent with great advice (also free) from the dedicated team that works there. read more

The down side-the bus was very dirty, and I had prepaid for our seniors (we were visiting for two days so the details were taken care of prior to our arrival). They were unable to accommodate all of us and I am still waiting to hear from the owner about refunds for those who were unable to go. Not acknowledging his responsibility to refund those he was unable to accommodate speaks to the integrity of the business. We bought the two hours/two stops package, and that's what we got. Had I understood that we could have driven to the overlook and the peace park with google maps I wouldn't have worried about buying the tour. He did point out restaurants on the highway, so that was cool, but he pointed out most of them. The van has a lot of miles on it, but it was usable. They gave us blankets for the cold. Me and my husband took the tour just today June 22,2024. Our driver picked us up just from the hotel Wilde resort and spa apologizing for being a bit late which was not his fault at all.
