Check-in was easy and our flight was super smooth and amazing! Our pilot explained everything and we were prepared for landing and just told us what to expect and it was a smooth ride. I had such an amazing time and I totally was worth every penny. I can't wait to do this again and my next trip here! The ride from their office to the launchpad was about a 10 minute ride. I think we were in the air for about an hour and a half and then once we landed, they took us to a spot where we could have some champagne and relax, and then they took us back. Third times a charm. I booked a balloon ride for my birthday in January 2024 and had to cancel due to unfavorable weather and just figured it was a sign I had to come back to Sedona. Booked again in 2025 for my birthday and had to cancel/reschedule to a different day because of the winds and boy am I glad that the alternate date worked out. This was the highlight of my trip. This is by far a 10/10 life experience, and I've done a lot of things. I've taken nearly every mode of transportation and this was the smoothest and most peaceful means of travel I've ever taken, even the liftoff and landing were very smooth. I couldn't even feel when we lifted off the ground. The views are obviously great and now I can proclaim that I've seen Sedona from every height. I'll never get tired of seeing the Sedona red rocks and landscape, but there's something magical about seeing it from the air early in the morning as the sun rises. Truly spectacular. Our "pilot" Stewart and the ground crew were great and I enjoyed hearing all of the facts about hot air balloons and it's still quite amazing how we are simply riding the wind. Also watching the process of packing and unpacking the balloon is really cool to watch. And the toast at the end was the perfect end to the ride. I'm so glad I got to do this and even with having to reschedule, the new date made the hot air balloon ride the perfect bookend to my trip. Tip: If the winds and weather aren't favorable, if time permits, just reschedule. It's absolutely worth it to have this amazing experience. And these folks know the weather better than the weatherman, so if they cancel it's for good reason. read more

This experience was one that I did to accompany my "best half" for his long-awaited desire to take a balloon ride. I am afraid of heights but thought this would be a challenge to help overcome that fear along with enjoying the experience with the one I love. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!! The whole experience was something I will never forget. Watching them prepare for flight was so interesting. The crew and pilots showed such expertise at all that they did to prepare for flight and after landing. They were knowledgeable and welcoming. Upon take-off, well, let's just say, I did not even realize we had taken off, it was so smooth and all of sudden you start seeing the awesome views all around you. I did not feel a tinge of fear then, or throughout the flight. Our pilot was Jake and I can't give him enough hurrahs for the wonderful flight and totally remarkable landing. I thought it was awesome to be the first balloon up and the last to land. Perhaps not planned but gave us a bit extra airtime. :-) He was a great tour guide but still maintained his pilot position with precise professionalism and experience. He was a great pleasure to be on board with. He took great care to ensure everyone was enjoying the flight and feeling safe. Thank you Jake for the wonderful journey. On a glorious early morning we were guided into the balloon basket by a crowd of guys and girls, all smiling even though it was 4.30am! Arrived at 5:15am for a Hot Air Balloon flight this morning. Their office is located in the Safeway parking lot in Sedona with plenty of parking. There were a lot of people there. We were checked in and waited until it was time to leave in a van. Our pilot Mark was great. Very chill and laid back and also very informative. We had an amazing time. The weather was absolutely perfect. It was a super smooth ride with gorgeous views of Sedona Red rocks and canyons. At the end they brought us to a little area where they gave us mimosas and we made a toast. I thought it was a very nice touch. Very highly recommended!!! read more

You don't have to be a pilot like my wife and I to enjoy this very professional hot air balloon ride in Sedona over its spectacular red rocks. The air is so clear here and the rocks so spectacular that you won't find a better way to enjoy Sedona, an American treasure about two hours by car from the Phoenix airport. Plus, Sedona offers plenty of other things to do. We were in a modern gondola with 12 others fitted comfortably in a balloon piloted by an FAA certified pilot who happened to be the founding owner who has piloted here for 36 years with his own company. Four of his balloons took flight at the same time, making for a spectacular air show in cool dry air in April. Ground crews helped passengers board and fire-up the gas that makes the balloon lighter than air. Pilots are in radio contact throughout the flight for coordinating safety ( landing areas, wind speeds, etc), as well as pointing out wildlife on the ground. You will spend about an hour in the air. Ground crews stay in radio contact to retrieve the balloons and bring the traditional champagne toast upon landing. read more

We did a sunrise hot air balloon ride in Sedona with Red Rock Balloon Adventures and it was absolutely incredible. Definitely something you have to do at least once in life and doing it somewhere like Arizona made it even more special.
