I had a blowout with Andrea. She used their Dream Dry x Masami products in my hair (shampoo, conditioner & serum) which left my hair feeling clean & shiny and also smells amazing. I was surprised at how beautiful my hair came out and how quickly it was done. I have long hair so it usually takes a lot longer. I also had my brows touched up and lashes tinted by Kim who was really amazing as well. I'll definitely be back for more services. This review is for my experience with eyelash extensions. I emailed someone from Blvd a week later to explain my experience and give them a chance to resolve this but another week has past and I've yet to hear back. This was by far the WORST experience with eyelashes I've ever had. It's been two weeks and all of my lashes have fallen out. When I got home, I noticed lashes started to fall out immediately that night but I figured it was just a couple of loose ones so I didn't think anything of it. However, I did notice they were uneven -- the right side had way more lashes than the left. I then noticed they continued to fall out all week. Nobody, not even my sisters noticed I had gotten my lashes done and the whole point of getting lashes is for a noticeable difference! $180 for what?! Also, the technician had her hands all over my face and nose the entire time. They were heavy on my forehead and thankfully I don't have sensitive skin but if I did I could've broken out. When working on my left eye, she kept pushing down on one of my nostrils, blocking it and I have a sensitive nose so that was frustrating!! I've never experienced this before and it was so uncomfortable and felt like this was very new to her. I've been getting my lashes done frequently for the past 3 years. I take care of my lashes and brush them so they last long. I always go to Lash Loft in the city because it was near my office but wanted to try somewhere closer to home since my office moved locations. I've paid the same price for lashes that look even, full, and last over a month because that's what it should be like. Such a waste of money and soooo disappointed. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. I've been emailing and calling since August trying to get an appointment. I have various packages that I bought a while back, but now seem to have been a mistake and a waste of money. The original manager, Shannon, disappeared off the face of the Earth. Emails and phone calls went unanswered. Finally around October sometime I finally got in touch with someone from the Flatiron location and she told me the new manager is "Augusta". I emailed Augusta and she told me that the Scarsdale location is undergoing renovation and they should reopen within a week or two and she will contact me to schedule an appointment. A week or two passes and I didn't hear back from her so I emailed her. Nothing. Emailed her again, nothing and then again, nothing. I called the Flatiron location a few weeks after that and the lady said that the Scarsdale location is still undergoing construction and will reopen soon. Well now it's almost January and I haven't heard from anyone and all emails and phone calls have been going unanswered. Their website doesn't even include Scarsdale anymore either. I was in the area recently and passed by just to see what's going on and it doesn't look like any sort of construction is going on. It just looks closed. What is going on is something shady, and I'm so disappointed by all of this because I have packages that I bought that I will never use now. I have been going here for what seems to be forever and clients like me deserve to know the truth. If you're going out of business than that's fine, I get times are tough, but just be honest. I don't understand what is happening with the whole BLVD franchise. Ive been going to the Scarsdale location for over 8 years, from all their name changes, from Completely Bare to Spruce And Bond to BLVD to now Im thinking is DreamDry? I don't understand why their site is not up to date, the information for the Scarsdale location does not seem correct, the email for it bounces back, you can no longer do appointments online, none of the phone numbers provided on the site are working and the ones that do ring, ring forever. This is so disappointing and unprofessional from an establishment Ive been going to for almost a decade. I was here last Friday with my sister for my birthday. We were greeted by Michelle who couldn't have been more sweet! She got us each a glass of Prosecco and made sure we were taken care of during our entire visit! We had appointments at the Valley nails portion of the salon. I had Carol and she was great! The designs she can do are amazing! I wanted something simple with a little sparkle and Carol gave me just that! (pic below) While waiting for my nails to finish, my sister was offered a complimentary eyebrow tinting and shaping and they turned out great. When my sister was getting her nails done, I was offered a complimentary wash and blow out. I truly felt like a queen when I was there! (The Scarsdale sidewalk sale was going on so they were offering complimentary services) Having Spruce & Bond, DreamDry, Pucker and Valley all under one roof is a one-stop-beauty-shop! I read all the Yelp reviews and I knew I had to take my 13 year old daughter to see Kandes! She has thick dark brows and has been begging me for the past couple of years to get them cleaned up. I was wary because I didn't want her brows too defined, definitely want her to still look like a little girl! Kandes understood exactly what I wanted my daughter to have without me having to explain much! She is patient, precise, pleasant, and loves what she does. Also extremely sanitary, using gloves, sanitizes equipment, etc! We were so satisfied with her work I could not stop looking at her brows. We went back to Kandes for a clean up a month later and I expected nothing less than awesome work! I'm trying to grow out my brows now so Kandes can work her magic. Although I'm not stingy with my star offerings, this place truly deserves it. I have been coming here for YEARS for my Brazilian waxes, even before it became/rebranded to BLVD. The overall area, of course, is great. Ample, low cost parking, with banks, eateries, shops, and other beauty destinations right within the same outdoor plaza. The location itself is very clean, bright, airy and trendy. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and professional. I always go to see Nikki! She is SUPER quick, friendly, patient, and very talented. My hair is crazy coarse down there, and she handles it seamlessly. I have been going to her religiously for years. Really disappointing that this business has gone completely radio silent in the past 3 + months. I have purchased several service packages there and I have no idea if they are still in business because the website mentions nothing and no one will return my calls. I understand if they went out of business, but it's the lack of communication that is infuriating. It's very disrespectful to treat longtime customers or any customers this way. Let's try this again: When a business changes its name repeatedly (Completely Bare, then Spruce & Bond, now BLVD), ask yourself why. Good brands don't change their names. More importantly, if you are seeking laser, know that New York is the only state in which it is completely unregulated. To remove hair with scissors in NY, a person needs to take an approved course and pass written and practical exams. But nothing is required to do it with a laser. I received a reminder email and text message which I always appreciate, and I was already pleased with spruce and Bond before even walking into the door! My daughter had booked me a blow out for my birthday. The blowout was terrible. If you don't have another option than go here. The girl who did my hair looked liked she didn't know what she was doing at all. I didn't say anything until the end when I had to ask her to please use a curling iron because my hair started to frizz. When I spoke to the manager she just seemed a little out there. Came here with my mom to get gel manicures for my wedding and we were not disappointed! I had heard about Valley Nails in NYC from a friend who is very into the nail scene and she said the quality is right up there with Paintbox and others. When I found out Valley Nails had a presence inside of BLVD in Westchester, I immediately made an appointment. We arrived right on time and unfortunately found out that the person who booked us accidentally scheduled us back to back instead of at the same time, and that only 1 nail technician was available so we didn't have a choice but to proceed. Very frustrating 2 days before my wedding when we had so so much going on and so much to do, but the manager immediately made it right and comped both of our services! She even offered extra services to us (blow dry, etc) which we politely declined as we were in a rush. She brought us champagne, and made us feel right at home. Honestly it is because of the level of service that my mom and I have both become customers for life. Really spectacular that manager knows her stuff. I always have a great experience at the Scarsdale location. The young ladies who work there are so polite and friendly. The estheticians are very knowledgeable and able to answer questions about products and services or get the answer for you. They use both soft wax and hard wax and pay attention to details. I've had some really bad experiences at other wax salons (burns, being uncomfortable with the person doing the service) but I haven't had a bad experience during any of my visits to Completely Bare. read more

I have been coming here for about a year so this review is overdue. I have to say that it is the nicest place I have found in Westchester for waxing (I only have waxing done but they offer laser hair removal as well) All of the staff is really nice and each time I have been in it has been very quick and less pain than other places I have been. I love the area where CB is located- the nicest part of Scarsdale. I love to come and grab lunch at the French cafe around the corner and maybe a Starbucks which are all really close by. Parking can be a bit tricky to find but I usually don't have a problem. Bring quarters for parking meters- usually 4 quarters will cover about an hour. One of the staff told me that the salon is going to be renovated so I'm excited to see how that will come. Keep an eye out for Gilt City specials and other deal sites like Livingsocial- they run some great specials for CB once in a while. read more

Nice enough place, tho super pricey. I go for the laser hair removal and all the technicians (except one, I don't book with her anymore) are super nice and chatty during your treatments. They do pressure sale for full packages-costing over 1000 dollars but you have to be firm and tell them no. It's more affordable for me to pay as I go. I bought two packages but it was crazy expensive-like 1200 dollars a package. Once you get to the "touch up" phase of things it becomes bearable to pay for-I did have to take a year off to catch up on my credit card payments-a little annoying. But a lot less annoying than the hour long nightmare wax I got elsewhere. So it's a trade off. Also parking enforcement outside will hit you for any infraction...no free parking. read more

Last minute my Makeup Artist canceled on me so I was desperate to find a place who was doing make up during this time. I was so grateful that they were able to fit me in from one minute to the next. I strongly suggest that if you know the basics of make up DO NOT GO HERE. I was looking for A full glam look due to the fact that it was my wedding day. The make up artist did not know how to fill in my eyebrows, I kept asking her if she had other products other than eyebrow powder. Instead of a foundation which you would use for a full glam look she put a simple skin tint which did not give me any coverage at all. On my face as bronzer she used eyeshadow. I had spray tans a few nights before so my body was much darker than my face, instead of matching the skin tint to my neck she matched the color to my face which was way too light to blend. I will post before and after pictures of what I had to fix. It was very frustrating because not only did I pay $80 for a " full bridal glam" but I had to rush home pressed with time to wash off my face and redo my make up all by myself. Like I said if you have any knowledge of make up this is not the place for you. If I knew that Makeup Artist couldn't do the make up how I wanted it which I showed her pictures of I would've just saved my money and did my make up at home. For my eyebrows I even showed her a picture of myself and how I do my own eyebrows and she said she can do them how I do them and the end result was very disappointing. read more

Where has this place been all my life? First of all the staff here are the friendliest I've ever experienced. They are all genuinely welcoming and helpful. I've tried the lash extensions twice with Victoria- she is so knowledgeable and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I'm obsessed and I don't think I can ever go back to not having extensions. I first came to Spruce and Bond with uneven wacky brows from a bad wax job. Vicky took the necessary time to even them out and gave me a brow tint that highlighted some of my less noticeable brow hairs. The result was Hollywood looking brows that somehow still had their fullness. She was very careful to only take out the right hairs - I don't know how she does it! This has to be the WORST hair removal establishment in the Tri-State area. Let's be honest here - laser hair removal is one of the highest markup businesses in existence - yet Completely Bare is guilty of gouging it's customers even more than the average rip off out there. I received a $380 Groupon gift package for 6 laser treatments on a large area. I used it on my back where I have a light amount of hair going down my side lats. The first session left an ugly line because the 2 small bottom corners aren't covered by the "large area". I learned that this is one of the standard ways all laser clinics rip you off. It's not how much hair you have, but rather where it exists on your back. During my next visit I asked the technician if I could double up on the use of my remaining sessions (even though it would be a waste) to cover those 2 small corners. She said yes and we proceeded. When I went to leave, the receptionist stopped me and asked for $2,550. Completely shocked, I replied with a "huh?". She said it was for "the 6 session package I ordered for a medium area". I explained that there must be some mistake, because I was there on a Groupon and that I clearly asked the tech if we could double up on the remaining session usage so that I at least get an even treatment. The technician came out and explained that she didn't realize I was there on a Groupon and thought that I was asking to double on my package and get another 6 pack at the normal price (which in itself is completely ludicrous). When I asked to speak to a manager they called one of the offices in the city and told me that if I wanted to pay for extra session (all of exactly 2 minutes) that it would cost $300. The other option they gave me was to apply all of my remaining Groupon sessions to pay for it. I asked again to speak to a manager and was told that Jerry, the "PR Director" would have to call me back on Monday but that she was very responsive and wonderful to deal with. After 3 months, 4 emails, 7 voicemails, and 1 feedback comment on their website - I never heard back from Jerry or anyone at Completely Bare. They have no sense of customer service and this was a clear cut example of a business trying to exploit a clear misunderstanding - even by the technicians own admittance who got on the phone with the assistant manager in NY that day to explain what happened. $300 for 2 minutes spent by mistake - Completely Bare has no sense of fairness or customer service. With close friends working at a few major hair salons in the city and the Reebok Sport Club - I am making sure to get the word out as much as possible - this place has shameful business practices. read more

We live 45 minutes away and already booked appointments through the fall. Had the most amazing, almost 100% pain-free wax with Maliou (I'm sure I'm spelling her name wrong). The facility is clean & very calming. Maliou is a total sweetheart & makes you feel very at ease.
