Chocolates and confections of every kind available in Vancouver. I stopped in See's Candies before leaving Vancouver and loaded up for myself, and as a gift to my hosts before leaving town. They packaged my candies and made sure every space in the box was filled before weighing the total. That was at my request. See's chocolates are, in my opinion, the best there are. This review is for their brand-new location in Vancouver, to which they've moved from their Vancouver Mall location. I visited on, apparently, their grand opening week. In celebration of that, the manager handed out "goodie bags" to all customers, which had an individual chocolate confection and a chocolate lollipop (nice to get a bonus lollipop). This store is meticulously clean, as are all locations I've ever been to. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, and there is plenty of easy parking. You can't go wrong with See's, and this location is great. read more

I remember the old See's Candy shop in the Vancouver Mall, you know, back before COVID. It seemed that no matter how empty the mall was, See's Candy always had a line, maybe it was the free samples? The Vancouver Mall took a hit during COVID and one of the casualties was See's Candy. The See's shop left the mall and relocated about a year ago into a shopping center that shares the same parking lot as Trader Joe's, just off Chkalov Drive. Funny thing, there's still a line at See's. Maybe it's the quality product, maybe it's the friendly and helpful staff, or maybe it's the clean, nice smelling shop, either way the new location seems to be as busy as the mall shop ever was. So bring an appetite for chocolate and shop early, especially on holidays. read more

I don't always go to See's. But I was craving some hard candies my Grandma used to give us. It was relatively easy to find the store. It's close to Trader Joe's. The staff was friendly. They gave me a free sample. And they didn't push me to buy candy I wasn't interested in buying. Now that I know where they are, I'll be sure to visit them again. read more

Not the friendliest customers or customer "service" customers making comments and same with staff, customer argued that I "stole" her parking spot. I was not issued or asked if I or my assistance wanted a sample, and when we asked if we could get one and a few more as we were intending to purchase a pound staff said "what do you mean? You can't try everything" although we were certainly not going to try the table as we would get full and not purchase the pound. She then called someone over, to see whether or not we could have one, and after she was told it was fine she asked if we had ever received a sample initially, we replied no and she said well then we can when I asked to try the apple pie as she walked off to retrieve gloves she made a remark about how the "apple pie is going to taste exactly like apple pie." The reason why I chose what I chose is because I am not an apple pie nor a white chocolate person but who wants or is required to explain themselves when they want to try a couple pieces before they purchase $30 chocolate? Going into See's candies is comparable to hugging your grandmother, you'll feel so much better after you do it, so do it as often as you can. I've been going in for chocolates for years and every time I walk up that counter I feel like the people behind it really care about making their customers happy. They are so "sweet" when they are taking and preparing your order. I went in last night after dinner and I was running late for a movie. There was an older lady buying a couple things but she wouldn't make up her mind, back and forth and back and forth she went from side to side of the counter. Now usually in that situation I would start crawling out of my skin and becoming very agitated. Squirming in mental anguish trying to use the force (yes I was late to see Star Wars) to make the old woman hurry up. But not in See's. I was totally content. The woman behind the counter was being so nice and polite to her customer it flowed through the whole store putting everyone at ease. There was a small group in front of me who was next and they started to delve into chocolate choices when out of nowhere, a second See's savior arrived to speed up my sweets spending spree. Not only are the staff amazing people here, they also make really good chocolates too. I like to enjoy the finer things in life when I can afford them, and as far as chocolates go.
