He also complimented their ice cream I found the doughnuts too greasy and too sweet but I am also not a traditional doughnut person. This donut shop never disappoints! Everything is always so fresh and delicious and the store always feels so welcoming. The store is located in a corner spot in a strip mall and has lots of parking. The store is wide open with plenty of seating and always seems to be well kept and clean. I've never come for their icecream or anything like that just their donuts, but man they sure are delicious. Their Apple bear claw in particular is quite nice. I'll also add that their staff are knowledgeable and even told me how to warm up one of the choices I made to make it "extra" tasty. Eons ago when I was younger I worked in a variety of doughnut shops. I loved baking, still do, and it beat the snot out of working at a burger joint. With that being typed, I would like to think I know a good doughnut when I taste one. The Tax Deduction had gone here several times with friends, as high school kids do. On occasion he has brought some home and I was impressed. Today a group I volunteer with just happened to be meeting here. I love the way the universe works. Walking in you are met with the glorious site of a very full display case filled with dozens of different varieties of doughnuts. The smell hits your nose, it's a mix of sweet treats and coffee. The selection is so large that for my first time there I was almost embarrassed that I took so long to decide. Almost. I ordered a chocolate iced buttermilk bar. Here's a tip kids, if a doughnut place can make a buttermilk bar that is light enough to crumb and not be greasy then you have bakers who know what they are doing. The bar was perfect, dare I say better than mine used to be. I chased it with a cup of hot chocolate, which was handmade for me. The staff was super friendly and quick. I want to come back and try their ice cream treats next time. I even see they offer hamburgers. Not sure if doughnuts are the buns or not. Might be worth exploring. What is certain is Angel's is worth your time to come in and take a look at a truly impressive array of treats. read more

We stopped by for an afternoon treat and were happy to find Angel's. The donuts looked amazing, but we were there for ice cream. I guess we will just have to go back! First I want to mention how awesome the service was. Both of the clerks were really nice and are great with kiddos. We were after some mint chocolate chip ice cream and were really happy with the ice cream that was really smooth and creamy. So who can resist donuts? Got a pedicure next door,saw the donut sign. Voilà. A box of donuts. I got the strawberry round with Rainbow sprinkles. A maple glazed old-fashioned, & a bacon bar. I loved the old-fashioned. The glaze had seeped into the donut and had a crisp texture to it. Inside moist and yummy. The strawberry round was very light and fluffy. The strawberry icing and sprinkles were great. The bacon bar was pretty good. Good texture in the donut & nice crispy bacon. My least favorite of the three. Not that it was bad! The place is on the corner & has lots of light. It is very clean inside. The donuts are all displayed so you can stand there, in awe of so many delicious looking donuts! while you're waiting your turn. Have not tried the ice cream yet, but I know I'll be back for donuts. A very good donut shop in the easy Vancouver area. Expect to pay a premium though unless you opt in for getting the dozen but then again... you get what you pay for and great donuts are what you get. The doughnuts were decent. Nothing amazing compared to Blue Star donuts and crispy crème. I would probably stop in again and try some of their other options. Mmmmm their donuts are SO good! Great variety of flavors. They have some gluten-free options individually wrapped by the register. They also sell Umpqua ice cream by the scoop, which means you can get a scoop on a donut! I haven't gone that far yet though. Located in a strip mall this place has a very old school vibe . I stooped by to pick some donuts up for a friend on a weekend evening and the place was mostly empty except for one another group . The store is huge but in comparison there isn't a lot of seating. I know donut shops are not exactly known for a sit down meal so perhaps that works better for them. There was a lot of options but in spite of that I did not have a hard time choosing , instead what I did have a hard time doing was choosing something that looked appealing and filling up the box was a task .I did happen to taste two of the flavors later and did not like them much . The texture and freshness both were off for me but the kids seemed to enjoy them. The staff was very young and probably not so experienced, so the transaction was a little slow and there was a bit of back and forth. I feel the donuts would have been better had I come earlier during the day but for now three stars seems apt for the experience read more

Angel's donuts have the most "bread"-like flavor I've ever tasted, and not a good, slow yeast raised bread, more like a loaf of Wonder Bread. On the plus side, their selection is very wide, and the prices are reasonable. Angel's is also a very large establishment, with plenty of seating. It is also clean and well maintained. If you're in the neighborhood and need a donut, stop in, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

I've been very curious about this place as they're always open and right around the corner. Decided on a whim that we could cheat on our diet a little and decided to stop by tonight. I must say, we were very impressed. Very clean and roomy space and Yesina was very helpful in providing insight on what options were good. We got apple fritters, sugar twist, old fashioned blueberry, and a maple bar. All of the donuts look very good and the apple fritter was so good (it's the only one we've had so far).
