See's Candies is usually a once a year treat for me because someone always sends me a box of chocolates for the holidays. This time I went in to get a hostess gift. This store is in the mall. I was offered a free sample to enjoy, by a friendly employee, while I browsed. The candies here are always consistently good. I really can't say I have a favorite but I do enjoy the ones with nuts. So far I have returned three times in a period of a couple of weeks and not to buy more hostess gifts! I got hooked on some varieties I have not tried before just because of the free samples. I am thoroughly impressed with their sugar free chocolate covered peanut brittle and how good it tasted. I was given two full sized chocolate bars as a gift with my last purchase. I normally will not buy anything sugar free as I intensely dislike the taste of artificial sweeteners. Boy, was I surprised when I found these sugar free chocolates actually tasted good! Ever since I was a little girl my parents & Nino always presented me with a box of see's for Birthdays, graduation, my stocking for Christmas, Easter, Valentines when I would be upset for any reason See's candy is the answer. First most of the negative reviews are for the Victor Valley mall location in Victorville. Yelp needs to correct this and move those reviews to the mall location. This page or business listed here is the new one they just opened up in Jess Ranch in Apple Valley at the corner of Beat Valley and AV Road. This location is nice and brand new and is right next to Buffalo Wild Wings side of Jess Ranch in between the GNC and Pizza Guys businesses. The staff was helpful and enforced capacity in the store to five people at a time. Ladies helping us today were friendly and helpful when we were choosing our chocolate. I would support our local Apple Valley businesses such as this one. We need quality businesses in our town. read more

The lady that works here was really rude to myself and my husband because we were asking which roll was which and then asked for the pecan roll. When she gave us the wrong one, (walnut roll) she began to be super rude and said that we never asked for the pecan roll but her overall attitude was horrible and she was very rude about it. I believe she said her name was jada but her name tag was backwards so I cannot be sure of the spelling. I've never been treated this way in this establishment. Every Christmas we buy a couple hundred dollars worth of candy for family and friends but I cannot see myself going in here again any time soon. Very displeased.. read more

My review is for this particular shop in Victorville. I have been eating Sees since I was a kid, at least 50 years. My review is not based on the quality of the chocolate or the price, but rather the "service". Service is one thing that has gone straight down hill over the years. And unfortunately, that same fact holds true for Sees. There is a rude and inconsiderate employee here who visits with a "friend" for an extended length of time while I wait in line to pay for my stuff. When I ask for assistance with something, she doesn't want to bother. It's really disgusting that no one wants to offer customer service anymore. I'll order online next time I think about candy. In case you don't know, when you see a customer waiting in line and you continue to engage in a meaningless conversation with someone about your family's health issues, you are being inconsiderate. Update: I went in to the shop today and hoped the employee I wrote about above was not there today, I was relieved that she wasn't. I went there knowing exactly what I was getting. A family stepped in front of me while I looked at something, and I watched as each one of them picked out a free sample of their choice. Then the mother began to engage in a meaningless conversation with the Sees employee. The employee did not do enough to tell her to have a nice day, and get her on their way. These people came in specifically to get free samples, and they left the shop without making a purchase. Then, when the employee offered me a sample it was milk chocolate and I only eat dark chocolate. I asked if there wasn't a dark sample I could have. She went ahead and asked what I wanted in my custom box while she gave it some thought. I found it offensive that a family walked in, chose whatever they wanted for free, and I asked twice about a dark chocolate sample and was not asked what I would prefer, I was simply handed a dark of something that I didn't even want. Why treat leaches who come in for free stuff better than paying customers? It dawned on me that their policy of giving out free samples to all the leaches that come in without buying anything, is making the cost of my chocolate higher. I am, in affect, paying for their free shit. They should change their policy to only give free samples to paying customers, and they should start treating paying customers better than leaches. read more

The girls on Mother's Day 2019 at this Victorville mall location were horrible!!!! I mean rude, frigid, and none acted as if they were at work! Worst ladies to represent Sees Candies. She kept asking if I wanted the chocolates I chose, she went to tell me that they were pricey!? I've been coming here since a child you think I don't know what I myself is choosing? Do you not want me to spend my hard earned cash here? She never said hi either!! She was so rude she didn't let me finish talking, she interrupted me constantly, the other staff were also rude!! The customer next to me kept getting told "is that all!?" And the customer replied the box isn't even full!? Worst ladies ever! Only one staff member was sweet unfortunately they didn't help since the rude one had to step in with my box to fill worst part was when I had to pay and she took a whole minute looking at my debit card repeating to me that my total was $68 and if I was sure about what I'm buying? See's is my favorite. This is my favorite of all the stores that I have been to. I had been there in years as I moved out of state but when I stopped in they remembered me. The chocolate is fresh made with good ingredients and they give you a sample. It is about $20 a pound which is more expensive than some and cheaper than others but this is not a money things they are my favorite and I love them. read more

I requested See's for Christmas, not having had a box for several years and was so sadly disappointed. Rum Nougat was round not rectangular and covered with dark "chocolate" not as before with milk chocolate. All the chocolate coating on all of the pieces was thin, waxy and couldn't hold a candle to plain jane Hershey's bar. Never again, after a lifetime of thinking they were great. read more
